I have the best idea for a Bible app. Dr. Brown, what do you think? Can you make it happen? Basically have a Bible in English with the ability to change individual words to convert to the original Greek or Hebrew as you learn them. So you can start replacing the English with the original Greek or Hebrew one word at a time as you build your vocabulary in Hebrew and or Greek. What do you think? Not too hard right to make a digital app like that.

I agree on "slaves". Many fail to understand that when the Bible speaks of slavery, it is not talking about the Atlantic slave trade and the evil practices that were committed in those times. In biblical times, people sold themselves as slaves when they could not provide for their families or pay their debts (also, a form of justice when a person stole something or did something wrong/committed a crime, they paid for it this way) by becoming bond-servants aka slaves for a certain amount of time. Also, people chose to be slaves so as to have all their needs provided for by their masters. The Bible does talk about how one should treat their bond-servant, their slave. What needs to be understood is it was more about economics and not about someone's skin color. The ancient world did not have current United States politics, U.S. laws and courts, our modern culture society (even as backwards as we're rapidly going). Things were much different back then. Things worked differently back then.

If James should be Jacob, then Jesus should be Joshua, but that would just be weird. 😅

Doesn’t the earth revolve around the sun ? “Then Joshua spoke to the LORD on the day when the LORD handed over the Amorites to the sons of Israel, and Joshua said in the sight of Israel, “Sun, stand still at Gibeon, And moon, in the Valley of Aijalon.” So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, Until the nation [of Israel] took vengeance upon their enemies. Is it not written in the Book of Jashar? So the sun stood still in the middle of the sky and was in no hurry to go down for about a whole day.”
    ‭‭Joshua‬ ‭10:12-13‬ ‭AMP‬‬ please answer

It's like translating a joke from one language to a complete different language, anyone tried that with great success? hehe

the scriptures should be read through the lens of The Spirit. semantics cause further confusion and allows individuals to push their personal biases on the text. just my opinion.

As if complete personal interpretation "through the Spirit" doesn't cause confusion - you can see it all day everyday. Don't get me wrong, I don't think we should treat the Scriptures as if they are just some ancient writings. But it just confuses me when people imply that you don't need to check the language but just rely on how you understand it. There are surely times when you think you understand something but then you are presented some historical or linguistic background info and have to change your mind. There is a reason why there is so much debate about which is the most accurate Bible translation.. If my Bible version translates something completely the wrong way, how can the Spirit help me?

"In the beginning, Elohim AT (Aleph/Tau) created AT (Aleph/Tau) the heaven and the earth." Genesis 1:1
"The grace of our Master Yahshua haMashiach be with you all. AMN" Revelation 22:21
The first letter of the first verse in Hebrew Scriptures is "Beit" or "B."
The last letter of the last verse in Hebrew Scriptures is "Nun" or "N."
    "BN" in Hebrew is "Son."
The 31,173 verses in between these letters are ALL about the Son Yahshua haMashiach Who came to this earth to die for us in His Father YHWH's Name!
    AMN

The last letter of the Hebrew Bible isn’t nun, it’s lamed. Also “Yahshua” is a made up name that doesn’t exist in Hebrew.

What do you think about the Roman Catholic Church and its sacraments and doctrines? It is the original Church of Christ. Brant Pitre has a series on the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist, Papacy, etc. I'm curious about how Messianic Jews perceive it and how much similarity or difference you can see. I want to understand from your Jewish perspective, not from another Christian perspective.

Roman Catholicism is false. I'm an ex-Catholic. Watch Dr. Michael Brown's videos on Catholicism and also Dr. James White. Catholics worship idols in their church. All we need to do is worship God Himself and He doesn't share His glory with another. I am an ex-Catholic. I became a Baptist.

@@littlebiblegems887 the Catholic Church will be made better when the Jews take it back. In my opinion as a Gentile ex-Catholic, I would require that priests be of Jewish heritage. Their Jewish heritage will give them natural authority (as in mastery not dominance), as their expression and understanding of the tradition will be profound and authentic. This would mean less apostasy and heresy within the Church.
