  • I bust out a new project. This time it is my Stern Galaxy from 1980. I discover some significant next repair and lots of wiring hacks that will have to be undone! All in all condition is good though!

You’ve got your work cut out for you on this one. This should be very enjoyable to watch you bring this back from the dead. Good luck for this project.

Stern's "Galaxy" sounds like a name I remember. But the playfield didn't ring any bells by sight. Other than the ghostly women. But I surely might have seen them on other machines. Still, I get the feeling I've played it. But perhaps not much.
It's a nice looking playfield. It's of a type which I regard very highly. The early solid states with playfields very much like EMs. Many of them were terrific machines.
I enjoy these videos as well. I watch you refurbishing these beautiful machines and I think, "I'd like to do that....." Realistically, I'll never get around to it. But watching these videos I get the 'flavor' of it. And it's a pleasure to get a close look at these machines and their components.

Hey Rob. Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for the comments. Maybe the game you played is Meteor? It is another early Stern with a similar theme!

Your projects are always informative and fun. Really wish I lived near you to hang out and work on games with you. Maybe you should move to the states :P

Thanks brother, who would have thought that repairing and fixing turned out to be almost as fun as playing them! Haha, I will just check with the wife on the move, I'm sure she is good with that :)

Hey buddy! Nice machine. I remember playing this one at a 7-11 every morning before going to high school my freshman year. Until one morning we were told a drunk was playing it one night and broke it. The replaced the pinball machine with an arcade instead so we quit going to school early. We were really bummed our favorite machine was gone.
Congrats on your TH-cam votes. 105 of us bastards that knew about the voting. I certainly never saw where or when we could have voted.
Look forward to your project and next show.

Thanks man! I love all these pinball stories! That is stories 2 regarding pinball action at a 7-11 in the last 24 hours! Thanks man, I didn't do a great job showing where to vote! Yaman us too, hopefully Hank shows back up one day! Will do!

@@pinballshenanigans concerning Hank. These precious babies come in and out of our lives and they all have a special place in our heart. Hopefully Hank is happy and well. We can only wish.
Sometime I’ll have to tell you about when my father walked in the same 7-11 and busted me and my cousin before school that morning. We were playing “our” pinball machine. I was a freshman during this time. Man talk about being in trouble and we still had plenty of time before school started. My dad didn’t see it that way.
Dutch reminds me of myself when I was his age. I had long hair. Not as long as Dutch’s but it was freakin long. I was really a cute little turd back then. Wife says I still am. (She needs corrective eye surgery).
Dutch seems like a really good kid too . Admittedly, I was a good kid growing up. I really was and I was a pinball and bowling fan. I still bowl to this day. Pinball too when I can find them.
      Take care!

@@smittyt414ify Yaman it's true! We still have our cat Eli 🙂 Haha fun stories!! Love it. I got pulled out of the corner store once during public school since I was supposed to be in class but I was playing captain silver the arcade game instead 😁😁😁

I'm getting some Black Hole vibes 😂 Just kidding. My BOP was very similar, in that I re-pinned a lot of connectors. And I'm still working on my game 🥴🥺😂
