Great tutorial Ish! Sakhal is beautiful and something I noticed right off the bat is that the devs have put a lot of work into the SOUNDS! That combined with the harsh survival mechanics and desolate scenery makes an amazing new DayZ experience IMO. Console servers will come back peeps release days are always difficult. Be patient and keep collecting those chelating tablets! Also cooking pots FTW! More clean water!
Final tip:Don’t trust anyone, this map has made it so supplies are scarce and the environment is a threat so players have become more opportunistic just to survive.
It seems harder. Its definitely a map geared more towards pvp players. Livonia was supposed to be that, but people camped in the woods with their crops. You cant grow crops on this map so it forces you to go find food or kill others. Then you have the threat of cold and everything makes you sick. Its definitely not a map for those looking to get the best gear and survive the longest as you'll constantly be dying and stsrting fresh, so get used to the idea of losing all you have and starting over. Thats the bread and butter of this map! To kill someone and find something you need to keep living a few more minutes until the inevitable death of cold or sickness. Base building? Not worth the time or effort on this map unless you have a group of 10+ willing to look after it. Every single group i join, someone always ends up backstabbing everyone, so i just run solo now.

Just gotta boil water 🤷 That's why I said it's a cakewalk to anybody who ever played Namalsk because that's still a harder map to master compared to sakhal. And, if I'm being honest, a lot more intriguing. But I wouldn't be surprised if Bohemia just saw the success of Namalsk and thought they had to cash in on that.
I've seen people playing frostline and going to a bunker that requires fuel at a generator to open it up...Is this an official server thing or just a pc mod? Kinda confused
Everything you’ve seen until today is pure vanilla. As of today the map is available to the whole community so you’ll start seeing mods and custom locations on community servers. The vanilla bunker needs a glow plug and gasoline to open it. Check out my video from over the weekend if you want to see more!
The most useless game ever! I spawn in, I search 237 houses and no loot whatsoever, unarmed I get chased by a hoard of zombies and I die to them, how pathetic how broken of a game it is and waste of my 40 euros
I agree. The game is trash. Played a few years ago for a bit. Decided it wasn’t worth the grind to just stay full warm and hydrated. Picked it up again a few weeks ago, still trash. Like you said, run around for hours just trying to find anything useful while constantly thirsting to death starving to death and freezing to death.
Scam is hysterical, it’s a product with a price tag that is pretty reasonable given how many hours you can sink into it. If you don’t think it’s worth the cost that’s subjective but scam is silly
Did you check out my bunker video from Friday? It had a ton of action The map (old version for the EA playtest, I hear today’s release has been updated) definitely needed a mod tier area. The Stary/Novy equivalent for this map. Looking forward to seeing what modders and community peeps do with it. That being said the vibes and survival elements are 10/10

I watched some of Hollyrex's Sakhal play thru and she discovered that you can eat small amounts of snow if need be as long you take vitamins with it.
