Bro, based on the discussion I had within our group of that owners, diesel owners are also getting somewhere in between 11-14kmpl based on different driving styles of different owners. One person is getting 11kmpl while other is getting 13kmpl. Since I do not own a diesel thar, I cannot make any claims but these figures are what other owners told me
Bhai I have thar petrol automatic. I have driven it 20k kms and owned it from 1.5 years. U can't get an average of 8 KMPL before doing atleast 13000 kms. If u are hard on accelerator. U get maximum of 6-7 kmpl
And 16 kmpl average shows only when u reset average and for a vert very short period of time. U do a tank to tank mileage test and u will see the reality
Bhai 5 logo ke liye ye comfortable nahi hai. Agar frankly bolo to ye 4 logo ki hi car hai with a little bit of luggage. 5 baith Sakte hai but comfortable nahi honge because of the wheel arches on the side. To me apko ye car to nahi suggest Karuga. Agar Thar hi Leni hai ya thar jaisi hi gadi leni hai to please wait for Thar 5 door/ Jimmy 5 door /Gurkha 5 door.
bhai Agra me thar petrol second hand market me bhe aa gye 2020 laste and 2021 model you wouldn't believe me they were demanding 16 lakh 😂 because of hype and waiting period ,mene abhe january me dekhe the its been 3 months abhe tak khade hai now they are demanding 14lakh 😂.
bhai second hand market to chalti hi car ki demand pe hai. Bahut se logo ne apni Thar sell Karni shuru kardi because unke shauk pure ho gye aur Abhi market me demand bhi hai to acha paisa milega. But 14-16 lakh is too much 😂
Just wait for a few months .Ghurka 5 door will be launched by year end ,which will be definitely Rs 2 lacs less with metal full body 4x4, Diff locks for both diffrentials.People will any day prefer 5 doors in India.Since Force already has standard 5 door Ghurka in 2WD, plonking a transfer case and diff lock is not going to cost them for development.Once Ghurka 5 door 4x4x4 is launched there will be cancellations of THAR for sure.M&M is using the demand to keep on increasing price.Also if Jimny is launched almost 80% cancellation of Thar booking will happen.Wait for another 8 months and you will have plenty of choice including new Scorpio 4x4
Currently, I am getting 12kmpl on Highway and city, I do have a detailed video with Tank to tank method : th-cam.com/video/M5OJUeHFsnU/w-d-xo.html I got around 14-15kmpl too when I was on a trip but that was under very limited conditions where I was driving at 50-60kmpl because of rain and there was no traffic on highway, I will not consider that as an ideal condition to calculate.
Bhai baate to shuru me badi badi ki tumne ye suv wo suv asli suv magar tumne khud kya li petrol automatic seriously !isn't that hypocracy .suv deisel me aati hai isliye hai kyuki deisel engine jyda torque produce karte hai aur turbo ke saath jyada compatible rehte upar se suv manual me aapko jyda controls milte hai offroading ke waqt jab aapko rocking etc karna hota hai ya kuch bhi aisi activity jaha wheels ki power aapko control karne ki jarurat ho magar usme bhi aapne automatic le li .automatic gearbox are meant for comfort driving jaise ki city traffic me aaram mile par suv na to comfort ke liye banayi Hui hoti hai aur na hi asli suv enthusiast kabhi automatic lega kyuki unko pata hota hai ek true suv ka purpose kya hota hai aap offroading ek automatic gearbox ke saath karna chahte ho ya city ke traffic me aapko offroading karna hai justify kar payenge petrol automatic suv lene ka wajah ?
yes you can drive it daily. This is my primary car now. Thar is not made for speed, so body roll is there in the car, not just at high speeds. I will not recommend to drive it at high speeds. with the power and body type, this car can go easily out of control and may topple or roll over.
In high speed there is no limitation as long as you can control it. I did not see any such limitation mentioned in the owner manual or any where officially. If there is please share a link.
If thar automatic gives 16 km average even on Highway at speed of 60-80km, I'm an idiot. I haven't even watched this video. Can't waste time on such video
Dashcam - the one I am using costed around 8000 Indian rupees, you can actually get cheaper options but I will suggest to go for either 70mai or dopai cameras because I have used dashcams from both the companies and they are good value for money.

yes you can drive it daily. This is my primary car now. Thar is not made for speed, so body roll is there in the car, not just at high speeds. I will not recommend to drive it at high speeds. with the power and body type, this car can go easily out of control and may topple or roll over.
