    As a crazy person who DIYed their own watercooled high end laptop years ago, the concept is brilliant. Quiet and cool most of the time it's on my desk, 2sec with the quick disconnects and it's portable again. I bolt the WC gear under the desk, low rpms on the fans, case and keyboard stays cool no matter how hard it's run, with its up to 170W 4.9ghz 9900K and two GPUs (both up to 200W+ each in anger which is not often now SLI is kaput) and it's used heavily, but is rock solid at 5 years old. No worn out fans, no 60dba jets under my fingers.
    If I can DIY design and make a fully functional and leak free setup with cheap AliExpress bits and vinyl flex tubing, soldering copper tube to the stock heatsink and bolting under the desk out of sight a decade old second hand desktop WC setup with silent fans on a 360mm rad, these guys with actual engineering skills and tools and high quality components can surely make something even better and more reliable

    Glad you guys are covering them. Love the company and ordered from them for years

    I nearly replaced my desktop with a laptop at one point, but what made me ultimately stick to a desktop was the noise. If water cooling is the answer to having high-end hardware and low noise all in one portable package, then I'm for it, especially if it solves the other major problem all laptops face which is early heat-related death.

      I haven't owned a desktop in 3 years and run two monitors off my 16 inch laptop with noise problems what so ever.

    for those prices the liquid cooler should come with it like the asus liquid cooled laptop did

    We are going to need those benchmarks when the time comes.

    can't wait for them to master this method in a few years, minimize the tubes more, perfect the quick connect

    That looks like water damage claims waiting to happen. Build quality better be ROCK SOLID.

    $3000+ and it doesn't include the gimmicky water cooler? Might have a handful of people that want the latest things but the mass won't be on board for this especially at that price point. And I get Cyberpower markets themselves as a gaming laptop company. I've bought two machines from them so I know first hand.

    With the power that a 4090 consumes high end water cooled laptops will have to become the normal.

    Watercooled 17" laptop. Anybody looking for a hip pocket on their singlet? Anybody? Didn't think so. Talk about a concept contradiction - the top Laptops now need a house brick power adapter and they want you to carry a water bucket as well. Who thinks these ideas up? Gordon said it "Why even do this" complete nonsense. Build a proper desktop for less and more performance.

    Why? I guess good temps are nice, but you might as well get a desktop If you're tied down.

    • @tripdeezy
      @tripdeezy ปีที่แล้ว +4

      But that's what he just explained in the video. Its an option, that is still portable. You can still use the laptop without the water cooler. When you travel with the laptop, you don't have to take the cooler with you.

    • @greebj
      @greebj ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because being able to neuter fan noise and temps and OC when you're at your desk, is fantastic.
      It is disconnectable.

    • @agenericaccount3935
      @agenericaccount3935 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@greebj You can do that all with a desktop and get a better peripheral experience. We all know such janky DIY garbage never leaves its desk and if you say you do take it away you are lyin.

      Because they can already be water-cooled

    • @zivzulander
      @zivzulander ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You actually can, with quick disconnect water cooling and an external radiator.
