I'm currently a Contracting Officer with the Federal Government. I see the shortages of minority own businesses doing busy with the government and thought about leaving the government and becoming a consultant because there is a need.
Khristine you are correct there is overwhelming need. I highly recommend listening to podcasts with Corliss "Mama U" and Laurie Artis. Good examples of women leveraging their connections as former KO's to build their business. Not easy, but more than worth the effort.

Been listening to Pena for years, but just so happens I found that exact video last week thru Dan Lok and when I heard him say he got a contract to sell jet fuel to the government…. I scratched my head and the light bulb turned on….. been obsessed the last week and half learning about contracting. Yesterday I realized how difficult it’s gonna be to start my own business from scratch so I concluded last night consulting will be the way. Funny that presentation is what pointed me in this direction

Hey Eric, your videos have motivated me to take my aviation cleaning business to the federal, state and local market. I am going to be buying your course next week. while looking for contracts, I came across an IFB for an on call/emergency electrical repair man. Well, I just so happen to know THE largest electric company in that city. I have an outstanding 25 year relationship with the owner. What I wanted to know is the technical way I can attach myself to this contract for not only money, but to break the ice within the government contracting arena.

I have a question tho, is it possible to be a consultant and convince companies to work with my consulting company if i am not in America? and is it possible to win a government contract(for my client as consultant) if im not in america. or do i have to be in america to get started as a consultant. I have a US citizen friend who has a consulting company (making no profit for over years) he wants me join him and work from pakistan to get US contracts. is it possible? your answer would mean a lot to me.

Not sure of your question. But as a consultant you don't need SAM because the contracts will be in the other person name.
