  • If you have a waffle press in your kitchen, making homemade waffles is easy and fun. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside-no matter how you top it, nothing from your freezer aisle can compete with a warm, just made waffle.

    It's half a cup melted butter ! Just saying because Allison said it turned out less thick than it should be and if you look at her measuring cup there is just 1/2 cup :)

    hey Sarah!! in the recipe they add 2 teaspoon of baking powder but on the video you don´t add baking powder, which one is the right one?

  • @hildazevallos5896
    @hildazevallos5896 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Sarah! Love your work but want to point out that when you mention the butter in the video, you're saying "1 cup of melted butter", however, the recipe on the website calls for 1/2 cup of melted butter. Again, thanks for all you do!

    How do buttermilk waffles compare to the normal waffles in terms of the taste and texture? Sorry for the stupid question but I seriously am not sure if I've had them before. I'd like to know before I try making them. :D

    • @TheBunkitty
      @TheBunkitty 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Buttermilk has a little acidity so I'm guessing that makes the waffles a lot more softer and moist. That's probably why people add buttermilk to Red Velvet Cupcakes, to make it super soft and moist. Hope that answers your questions! ^_^

    • @angelscotch7169
      @angelscotch7169 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Shaikha M. no... buttermilk is something special, it has acidity in it. however you can use milk and add a tablespoon of white vinegar or lemon juice per cup of milk

  • @pppllluuuttteeennnn
    @pppllluuuttteeennnn 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    What's buttermilk? Do you mix butter and milk? If so, how much of each?

    • @sawa3065
      @sawa3065 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Izzie for buttermilk you add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice or vinegar to 1 cup of milk it will curdle . That's the substitute for buttermilk

      I have made a sandwich bread that you can find on our website at Marthastewart.com (not a video, just a recipe). It isn't that chewy rustic bread, but i was pretty happy with it.

    True story: I've never bought frozen waffles. But then... I don't like waffles. Too much surface area or something.
