Use an old Avid 6'3" MXF for my jerkbait rod and have had great success. Have the Warhorse on the way with a Bates GOAT on it. Own way too many St Croix products with most of them being Legend X and Legend Tournament series.
On the Seviin reel...not sure how EVA grips is a "cool feature". They're much cheaper than other knobs. If I'm paying $120 for a reel, I'm getting a Daiwa Fuego, which has a full aluminum frame. This has a graphite frame.
Test one out, crank it to piss, you probably won’t feel disappointed. I’m used to the soft knobs from the quantum’s (RIP) I’ve got, so it’s a nice touch - and my user preference. I cannot speak for head to head comparisons to Daiwa, Shimano’s, Abu, etc - never owned any. I’ve got no worries over the graphite frame either, as my boat doesn’t hold any beauty pageant’s 😄

Awesome. I am very jealous you have a retro rod like that.
Is that the Long-Arm Wall of Fame behind you? 😅 Just razzin' ya!
The wall of long arm PB’s

@@NorthwoodsBass Haa, fair enough.
I do like the idea of a clicking drag on it though.
@@Twangtown7 yeah this feature is sweet. And every caster should have such a thing too
