There's one PRO PRO play that QB didn't talk about. When he was chasing the grille down the hill at the end of the battle, he turned the turret so that the gun can expose earlier when going around the corner. Because there is a spotting point at the base of the barrel, he could spot the grille earlier. Absolute PRO play.
One of the weirdest things about WOT is when you’ll consistently pen the face of a Maus, and then bounce off something dumb like a Leopard mantlet. Or like a odd shaped bit of a light tank or something.
@@zhang_han Not that simple, at least most time he hit mouse, they had their "face" direct point at him, that is just bad driving for maus driver. its quite the basic for driving a maus, never stop moving u'r turret or angle it unless you are just about to fire.
The unfortunate bounce on the Leo was the reason he lost. Having a lot of gold ammo only made it possible to pen every single previous shot, even on heavy armoured targets. Ppl spam gold to minimize bad RNG impact on the outcome, but you can’t completely eliminate RNG as we see here.
Yeah the better move at 11:39 would be to go forwards after he got shot and shoot the Leo in the back/side. Going for the bouncy turret if you´re not shooting the mantlet is risky with apcr.
That leo played really well at the end staying calm and did exactly what he needed to. It was a huge heartbreak for impact but watching leo winning against chieften doesn't feel bad.
The reason he moves his turret like that, for newer players, is to swing his gun mantlet out past the corner, so he can spot the tanks behind the corner while only exposing his heavily angled and armored turret.

no that upper part of leopard turret is 52mm so its auto ricochet when you fire up into it from below. he may be experienced player but that doesn't mean he knows everything if he did he would just aim at the gun mantlet instead of that part of the leo turret.
actually that bounce on the leopard turret wasn't unlucky since the part he aimed at is 52mm thick and is auto ricochet when you are even slightly below the leopard. this mistake is pretty common i believe its because a lot people think leopard is paper armor but it has a lot of troll auto ricochet spots. another note is people seem to avoid shooting the gun mantlet even though tier 7s can go through it.
The morale of the story is that no matter how good you or your OP tank are, nothing beats proper team work. The Leopards team was overall playing better, the Leopard made the kills with decent support from the Grille and Arty through out the game. You can't win on your own and using your team as meatshields will result in high dmg but mostly losses
Bruh chiefs team were 44% noobs that play high tiers and destroy all the fun and other team was mostly okay players who farmed them. Not teamwork. Only trash players and good players
No, the morale of the story is that sometimes, the enemy team is simply better. As you said, Leopard's team was overall playing better, and nothing would've changed that even if our "protagonist" was to take hits for his teammates and trade all his HP in the beginning. Quite the contrary, if he were to do that, his teammates would still suck but he would have like 500HP in the middle of the battle, being unable to put any pressure on the enemy team with that little HP left. This game would've then been a 5-15 with maybe 5k damage.
"nothing beats proper teamwork", while 12 of his teammates didnt even manage to dmg atleast 50% of their hp lol. nothing to do with teamwork, he played with human bots.
@@eksquisite chill out my boy, anyone with decent skills can perform in chieftain, I've managed to do 10k in worse tanks, so in Chieftain not at all impossible, happy holidays!
Have to disagree with you Quickie about the FV. The FV was there first and was trying to get that big gun into position to do what damage he could, when your "hero" pretty much blocked him so he could solo farm. That is crappy team player, by ruining other teammates games to make yourself look better. That is not what the game is about. I'd bet if you watch some of his past games, he has a habit about pushing other players out of the way or blocking them while spamming all gold in his very OP tanks. Not saying 15k wasn't impressive, but in his eyes, "It's all about me!!!" and screw the rest of the team.
Have to disagree with you Steve Gibson. FV TD players are toxic geezers, waiting 5 minutes for their teammates to spot or bait an enemy into their line of fire and instantly ruin one player's fun with a bullshit oneshot. That is not what the game is about. It's always TD geezers thinking only about themselves, saying allies should yolo spot for them so that they can proceed to camp and click at enemies. That's a crappy team player, demanding their team to dance for them while ruining games for both teams. They play passively, using premium fire-extinguishers (very unsportsmanlike), thinking they have the right for one shotting enemies -- screw the rest of the team, they should slow down and cater the dmg to geezers instead!!!
@@Albiinomajava Odd... bet you say the exact same thing about arty players. You must be the type to only like Meds or Heavies. When you get out and blunder into a Sh!t-Storm, you are happy to have the support of your TD's or arty to kill the guy you missed. Your argument about sitting in the back and waiting 5 min. to one-shot an enemy is lame. In the video, the TD was in the front lines going head-to-head with the enemy. Think about it, the TD was in the EXACT SAME PLACE as Quickie Baby's "Hero" who was bumping him out of the way to farm the damage. So, how do you consider that in the back farming damage spotted by others? The only one in that situation who was not acting as a team player was the one crowing out teammates just so he could do some stat-padding.
He was able to killed that Grille without anyone taking any points of damage because of his hulldown position. The FV with his rear mounted turret wouldn't be able to do that without taking a shot of 750 dmg. Preserving your HP is how you win battles. that is actually a great teamplay there, the FV is actually the selfish one along with OP that wants all the damage to himself.
If I was that 215 183b, I would have been pretty annoyed. The player did not go around him around that corner, but instead zipped over the hill and cut him off. The chieftain was then blocking the 215 from being able to get a clean shot into the grille. Then, the chieftain was moving back and forth like crazy making it even more obnoxious for a rear-mounted td to get a shot in. Yeah, that would have made me extremely mad too.
You gotta think about who was where first. The FV had that position before the Chieftan decided so slide on the wall and jump in front of him. Chieftan could’ve done the same thing you suggested QB and could’ve just gone around the Fv on the outside but instead he practically jumped over the Fv to get in front of him on the inside. I see that as pretty selfish and I’m not surprised the FB was pissed. And not only did the Chieftan jump around the FV on the inside but the Fv didn’t expect him to back into him, if you pay attention you can see that immediately after the chief jumps around the Fv turns to the left and starts to advance around the chief to kill the grill probably because the FV though the chief was going to rush the grill too. But instead the Chieftan decided to reverse into the FV a lot more than he had to.
True, he "used" his teammates quite often to his own advantage which is why i don't like this replay. Yes, it's impressive but it's also someone on a ego trip.
On top of that, one thing completely skipped in the commentary is after this section when the grille is dead, and the chieftain takes the hit from the FV on the enemy team, he raises his gun and swings it back and forth in an attempt to block the shot from his teammates behind so he can farm more damage, highlighting further his selfishness. I'm all for a good game with ludicrous damage, but at the expense of your teammates is just bad form
You misread my comment, the FV had already shot him and was on a long reload, he was waving his barrel to block his teammates shot from behind him so he could pad his damage more@@samwalsh9042
I think it is actually fine considering that the chieftain does not plan on tanking a hit and is the only one capable of taking the grille out without losing hp. It is to be expected that the fv does not want to tank himself so he does not need that position.
I have to say that I’m not so sure about Quickybaby’s judgement when it came to the blocking situation with the friendly FV. I think when Impact was shooting at the Grille, he did in fact back up into the FV on his team to make it harder for him to come around the corner. What makes this even more obvious is that when he comes around the corner and gets shot by the enemy FV, you see him turn left and try to wedge his tank up to mountain in an attempt to block the shot of the friendly FV, possibly so he could shoot the enemy FV once more. This didn’t work, as the friendly FV gets the shot in, which frustrates him which you can clearly see since he aggressively flicks the mouse after it happens. I’m an unicum player myself and I admit that I’ve done these things myself countless times in order to farm up a little bit of extra damage, at the expense of my teammates, so I understand what Impact was trying to do here.
Im referring to 5:33 here. You can even see Impact lower his viewpoint to see where the FV’s path of shell is going to be, so he can try to block it. Let me know what you guys think of this.
Chief can kill the grille with no hp loss while fv would took 750 in the face and die if grille high rolls. So I don't see how this is bad play for his team.@@bostycraiova
Yeah, Quickies relativisation of of the Chieftains behavior is a little strange, but not uncommon for unicums. Mailand and even Yzne, the nicest person on earth do such things too. It's a very annoying attitude of "i'm am better than you, so i take what i want". He is outright stealing the spot from the 183, *who has no fully traversable turret*, and needs the inner corner. The guy is not only playing "calm and calculated", but incedibly selfish, too. "It is another hardcore Chieftain player, who uses their allies to get through the situations?" Yes Quicky, it is 🤣 "Calm and calculated" goes very well together will selfishness 😉
@@thorstenhomann4715chief isn't gonna tank 750dmg for the sake of the poor cry baby FV that can't take a corner properly, FV had plenty of time to work the corner while chief was distracting the grille

While the Chief didn't directly interfere with the FV, I can see his point. The FV is slow, with a derpry gun and limited gun arc, while the Chief is agile and flexible. A team player would have shot the grille once, then sat still and let the FV get a clean shot to finish him off. By constantly moving, there was little space for the FV to work. Not that the FV is a saint or something, this is just my perspective.
@@1cachorito9 I'm quite aware of the properties of a 183, I have over a thousand games in one. So know it would have been easily capable of rounding the outside corner and taking the shot if needed. I would've done it and I wouldn't have had an issue with what the Chieftain was doing.
don't blame the player, blame the devs, there's an easy solution already working well in wot blitz, but they're just greedy money grabbers; and as a player if you really want to maximize your win chances you're supposed to use the best tools available and there's really no point in using standard ammo in the Chieftain if you have enough to afford all gold.

As a relative newbie I was momentarily impressed and confused by the turret control but the barrel being to the side Until I i remembered that the barrel is one of the spotting points, which means you can look around corners with it! Now I'm just impressed
He did sneak past him up the side of the slope a bit and there was a little pushing at the start but that fv could have easily went to the left to get past.
This is why I think gold rounds are a disease to the game. It completely makes tank armour useless. I've seen T6 tanks pen T8 like nothing with gold & being a T6 light, you couldn't spot it even if it was sucking on the barrel of your gun. And now with Wot Plus, people can afford to throw APCR all the time.
Would've been a very winnable game if impact actually pushed the Leopard there, instead, since he couldn't use any allies to cover him he instinctively tried to hide the whole time, not only could he have rammed and facehugged the Leo, he would've also not bounced off the turret.
Could've been possible but the Leopard was rightly flinging full gold back at him. Leo can easily depress the gun down onto the Chieftain hull and has the DPM and HP to win that fight.
You're blind if you dont see that guy block the fv. From that kind of "skilled" player, he knew exactly what he was doing. He wanted to be greedy and karma smack him in the face! Finally there is justice in this world! 😂
The fact that such tanks (talking about Kampfpanzers, 1Bs, 279s and so on) can face tier 7/8 tanks is despicable. This is how this game dies. A few of my friends left the game out of sheer frustration they could do absolutely nothing in their shiny new tech tree tier 8s while being circled by EBRs, bullied by 260s, 279s and Chieftains and sh@t on by the ton by artillery. It doesn't matter if you can deal with it as a seasoned player - the word goes around. Casuals consider this game unbalanced, p2w and above all else - unfair.
I'm there with that though too. Especially as a casual player who is only an average player. To minimize I generally only play up to Tier 7 and forget anything higher.
"Impressive" - only on paper. 15k while being a competent player, loading full gold, in a notoriously OP tank, blocking own allies to farm - that is a record all right, just not a clean record. And yes, he DID block the FV down there, completely intentionally - at 4:35 Chieftain didn't overtake FV from the left which was open, he squeezed himself from the right to deny FV the advantageous position- now, FV, to fire, would have to expose himself - that was a douchebag move like there is no tomorrow. And later at 5:33, you can see him trying to block friendly FV from shooting the enemy FV, he drives up the slope and raises the barrel - and when he fails, he shakes his mouse in frustration - what an asshole. It is almost like celebrating a hack sportsman who should have been disqualified but was let into competition only on technicality. This replay is the epitome of all that is wrong with WoT these days. The real hero of this match is the enemy Leo - one of the weaker tier 10 tanks shred on of the most OP bastards in the game. Good job.
Karma is a bitch. I know it's part of the game, but it was him using his team as a shield while he farmed dmg. There is nothing more frustrating then someone moving around so much you can't fight next to them. They would be the same guy that would bitch if someone would just leave them there so they could get dmg somewhere else. He would die and then call them out for leaving. In the end it's part of the game I guess.
4:26 I would disagree with QB’s statement seconds later about “the chieftain not blocking the FV” base on this very moment. The sound and the dmg on the FV shows that the player had already taken a hit from the Grille and was trying to chase, a situation Impact had noticed (he turned immediately after hearing the Grille fired). Then he drove in front of the FV to farm when the FV seemed like he was trying to use that corner to side scrape. Rationally speaking the FV was not making good plays. As a slow tank FV should not waste time around that corner. But regardless of the skill of the FV driver, he would still had a few seconds to take a shot, if the chieftain had not driven in front of him, occupied the corner and denied the FV the chance to take his shot in time. From retrospect, I would understand the FV’s reluctance to take a 750 damage shot from the Grille(because he already taken one), and I would understand his frustration when a faster tank occupies the corner and denies his play. Obviously the FV did not carry the game, was wrong to shoot the chieftain, and was extremely tilted when the artillery shot aimed for the chieftain deprived him of his remaining hp. But this game should not be played as “chieftain vs 29 tanks.” The featured chieftain’s play suggests that he gives little regards to the “team play” part of the game, and as a long time follower of QB (who had taught me to be a more considerate player in this game), I don’t enjoy watching this kind of gameplay on this channel. Of course people are entitled to play this game in whatever ways they want, and this sweaty chieftain play reminded me of my own play styles when I try to get marks. Nevertheless, I think it is those kinds of selfishness and lack of communications that make this game a toxic mess.
So the chieftain playing the game and getting high damage is toxic, but the FV who started being toxic in chat after he got mad that said chieftain took the corner that he wouldn't go round is not toxic? again as you said the FV was not making good plays so impact took this as his que to play the game, he didn't block the fv and if the FV wanted to he could of easily gone round and slammed the grille for over 1k damage. What could the chieftain of done to be a better team mate? he got the positions and did damage to dangerous tanks, just because his team failed to capitalise on this isn't his fault, its the teams fault.
I agree with you ... after that act when he took the enemy deathstar's shoot (which I am not sure was intentional) Impact tried to block the FV4502's shoot with barrel if you watch ... and got frustrated that he took a shot for ~350 dmg... that is toxic even if not in words... and toxicity is not in words usually but rather acts which are really tilting people... nothing reportable or game breaking just let's not glorify these type of players
I've been saying this forever but if they just reduced the alpha on gold ammo, but you still get decent pen you'd see a lot of people shift away from carrying so much gold.
I have to disagree with you QB. He uses his allies as meatshield against enemies. You see it at first with the Obj. 277, then twice with the FV215b 183 (on both Grille15). He didn't blocked him or did something forbidden, however, still morally a a**hole whatsoever. A very selfish player in my opinion.
Fv was on that corner for 20 seconds before chief even came. Dude did nothing. Also did you notice that retty much after chief wss done farming grille, enemy fv just came in. Ok qb i'm gonna have to remove the tribalism and obsession with picking a side for a moment. This is what happened: 1.The chieftain clearly blocks the FV when he goes past him. It doesn't matter how much of a bother anyone thinks it was it did happen. 2.Then, THEN the FV is NOT being blocked by the chieftain from taking the shot. Just his feefees in the way. 3.And lastly we see the FV turning into the guy on the bicycle meme and ruin the rest of his game. Things are often not black and white and messing up doesn't automatically make you bad/ the other way around. I've watcher your stuff for years at this point and have noticed you try to make the world just a tinny teeny tiny bit better. I really appreciate that, so let's just keep going forward with that.
definetely used his teammates like a true Chieftain goblin. Jumped in front of the FV and litteraly stole his position, yes the FV could drive around but still, he was on the inside first. Still impressive, but for me, he blocked the FV185 on purpose. Just as he sold his 277 Teammate in the beginning an used him as a meatshield. It nothing else to expect in a game that is played 1vs29 😅
I Think impact should let the FV tank the corner and relocate just for the sake of role playing and using the possible damage that the FV could have done the FV could helped him at the end of the game MAKE ALLIES WIN GAMES

no that upper part of leopard turret is 52mm so its auto ricochet when you fire up into it from below. he may be experienced player but that doesn't mean he knows everything if he did he would just aim at the gun mantlet instead of that part of the leo turret.
actually that bounce on the leopard turret wasn't unlucky since the part he aimed at is 52mm thick and is auto ricochet when you are even slightly below the leopard. this mistake is pretty common i believe its because a lot people think leopard is paper armor but it has a lot of troll auto ricochet spots. another note is people seem to avoid shooting the gun mantlet even though tier 7s can go through it.

@@Omnicirethat's very common from good players as it makes hitting turret weaknesses harder to hit
5:30 I think he was trying to block allies FV to shoot enemy FV because than he could farm that FV on reload alone 😉
pro play
Yup, interesting way to drive...
who wouldnt, the fv was an asshole
Isn't the game fun when RNG says YES.
At the 10:00 ish mark, watching him point his gun, in an angle to scout the Grill earlier. Man, I wouldn't think of that in the moment
I agree, it could have been unintentional but the agressive flick made it obvious
@@gravityassistgaming forreal, especially if you’re on such a heater of a game Impact was on. I would’ve done the same.

True, but if i was this good id probably do the same
Yeah, Quickies relativisation of of the Chieftains behavior is a little strange, but not uncommon for unicums.

Not that the FV is a saint or something, this is just my perspective.
and taking the inside line around the corner is a bit rude
Nah, FV had plenty of space to move and in fact could've used the Chieftain as a shield if he timed it right and not even need to tank a shot.
We are talking about a bulky boom stick. The corridor is narrow, and the fv needs to be aware of any shots from grille. Grille can kill him
@@1cachorito9 I'm quite aware of the properties of a 183, I have over a thousand games in one. So know it would have been easily capable of rounding the outside corner and taking the shot if needed. I would've done it and I wouldn't have had an issue with what the Chieftain was doing.

He pushes past the Death Star and sits in front him simply because he’s hungry for damage, and QB doesn’t see what’s wrong, that’s rich.
intentional or not the t95 100% blocked the fv215b he wedged himself up the wall of the hill and shoved himself infront then made it so no one could go around him till he was done getting his damage in, he could have easily gone and killed other tanks sooner and chose to go rush in to try and take the hp from the 215b for himself and was lucky wargaming has changed it so people cant damage each other anymore or his game would have ended right there back in the day. he played a great game but that doens't mean it wasnt a dick move to the fv for him to pull
As a relative newbie I was momentarily impressed and confused by the turret control but the barrel being to the side
Until I i remembered that the barrel is one of the spotting points, which means you can look around corners with it!
Now I'm just impressed
He definently blocked the FV on purpose.
I think so too
He did sneak past him up the side of the slope a bit and there was a little pushing at the start but that fv could have easily went to the left to get past.
That’s why I don’t play anymore. There’s no way to enjoy it. You work hard to get that new tank and get punished for using it.

The deathstar could have easily went around but he didn't
So the chieftain playing the game and getting high damage is toxic, but the FV who started being toxic in chat after he got mad that said chieftain took the corner that he wouldn't go round is not toxic? again as you said the FV was not making good plays so impact took this as his que to play the game, he didn't block the fv and if the FV wanted to he could of easily gone round and slammed the grille for over 1k damage.
What could the chieftain of done to be a better team mate? he got the positions and did damage to dangerous tanks, just because his team failed to capitalise on this isn't his fault, its the teams fault.
it didnt affect the game at all, fv could have easily drove around him if he wasnt stupid

Imo he should’ve rammed the last Grille after tracking them, but who am I to suggest
Interesting to see that making damage is not that hard when the shells hit where you aim.
Hard on copium bro. his shots were well aimed and his plays were really just god-tier. RNG didn't do too much in his favor
@@attilafelfoldi1057 fucking oath RNG played a part. I play the leo 1 mostly for obvious reasons and even with 0.25 accuracy you can miss consecutive fully aimed shots on stationary targets. He was blessed until he got brought back to reality at the end hahaha
@@attilafelfoldi1057 3 reasons why he had lots of damage: 1) Lots of shells were on paper tanks or tanks that weren't aiming at him at all. 2) with full gold most average player can make these shots. 3) RNG was definitely in his favor, shots on the Leo in base and last shot on Grille (aim circle was barely on the tank) would miss in most situations.
@@attilafelfoldi1057 RNG change everything. If you can't do the damage, then you lose unless you somehow manage to cap the base.
@@2m2a2r2k2 obivously you cannot get 15k damage without getting lucky. But most of the RNG in this battle was negligable. even without good RNG he would have done well over 10k. RNG-wise this is about a 1 in 10, maybe 15 game. So if RNG is all that got him to this damage, where are your 15k dmg games?
It's still a team game. If your team sucks, you can be basically a God and lose, nevertheless. As Jingles would say, "if you can't take a joke, don't play Wargaming!" :D
FV situation is so BIAS from you (because he is a fellow content creator), of course he blocked him... thats why he came through his right (he didnt want the Fv to one shot the grille and "steal" his dmg, but fv took the shot before and this greedy guy farmed for free at others expense)... if he didnt want to do it, he would go left... and then he took the arty shot that was meant for the chief.... in the end the loss was divine karma for being a c.u.n.t...
Man this QB is such a scumbag wg rigged cc!! I am so dicusted by QB!!!
Broken "unobtainable" tank, full pay to win loadout. Cool. Feels like being proud of doing a faster lap in 911 than in VW golf.
Funny, usually when people say something like this, they have like 2k battles in a KV2, T67 or something similar.
He also did better than thousands of other games played in the same tank with just as much premium ammo.
@@digdog5834yes they have usual sayings like:op tank, full gold, not playing for team etc etc
To me the true hero is the leo. Preventing this win. Hate gold spammer
i didnt read all comments but nobody adressed using the poorly armored 277 as a meatshield in the beginning while still full hp in the best hull down tank in the game, still impressive though
Ok qb i'm gonna have to remove the tribalism and obsession with picking a side for a moment. This is what happened:
1.The chieftain clearly blocks the FV when he goes past him.
Tanks with no weak spots or VERY little weak spots are just OP except Bisconte
That FV likely had a gold round loaded and was pissed off that he couldnt do full damage after Impact shot the TD.. so instead he chose to do 0 dmg.
I feel like I've watched this before.
definetely used his teammates like a true Chieftain goblin. Jumped in front of the FV and litteraly stole his position, yes the FV could drive around but still, he was on the inside first. Secondly, you can see the frustration at 5:30 when the FV "Stole" al the hitpoints of the enemy FV. then, he knew the grille was around the corner and waited for the FV to tank the shot...
The FV215b 183 even was mad that he catched the arty because the chieftain was spotted, lmao
If I did that much damage and lost I'd seriously consider giving up the game lol
If he didnt sacrifice that FV, he might have won the game...
"not intentional blocking" a true Quickybaby moment right there haha.
Yeah,, it was clearly intentional
in my opinion a chieftain replay should not be honored as top game 2023 sorry
Still impressive, but for me, he blocked the FV185 on purpose. Just as he sold his 277 Teammate in the beginning an used him as a meatshield. It nothing else to expect in a game that is played 1vs29 😅
I Think impact should let the FV tank the corner and relocate just for the sake of role playing and using the possible damage that the FV could have done
the FV could helped him at the end of the game
MAKE ALLIES WIN GAMES
Claus Kellerman already made a video about this.
Any specific vid, I was trying to find it, but couldn't.
Ofc its a cheftian
It was clean play with that deathststar, tho i can relate to his frustration with that gun😂
Man just shows how winrate variances is so massively luck dependent aswell and doesn't always show your skill levels cause even with the arguably the biggest carry of all time and some of the smoothest and perfectly precise plays I've seen you still lose with terrible teams or bad rng crazy stuff
Being mad is the only way to play the game
Yep seen it coming nobody is safe in QB uploads.
when ppl starts talking a videogame as ROCKET SCIENCE you know they have lost the clue of the game 🤣🤣🤣🤣i had to write this and laugh
Passing the FV on the inside with no room to spare, taking a shot at the grille and then reversing into the FV... thats blocking in my opinion. The FV had nowhere to go, couldnt move fast enough to turn and pass him.
