I absolutely adore this scent and you've got it spot on. Wore it on my wedding day. Smells like luxury and sophistication and makes me feel classy
OMG!! I sent you a request maybe a year ago to review this fragrance and you actually filmed one! I'm so happy! Ahhh
We need you to be back yet again, Katie. Show these fresh fragrance reviewers who's boss!
Yay! She's back! She's back! I love your thoughtful reviews and down to earth approach! Big love here for Infusion d'Iris. The galbanum is one of the reasons it speaks to me. There is an old money old school classic feel to it.
"....you are dumb"! That was fantastic.
Katy do you think it may resemble the fragrance from Revlons Flex shampoo, which I believe has been discontinued but the smell was gorgeous and many used it because of the fragrance.
I was so excited to see you had put up a video. No one reviews like you! I've missed you!
So glad you're glad!
You're the best perfume reviewer of all. Wish you would come back! You're delightful...
I got 3 compliments wearing this perfume yesterday. I had in my collection for a few years and decided to wear it. Beautiful!
This is one of my favorites Katie. Purely a perfume of the mind.
Still the best perfume reviewer! Please come back, we miss you 😘
Well look who is back. Great to see you again
Haha, thanks!
Love this perfume so much!!...Initially, I bought it for my mother and had to get one for myself!!....Great review!!...:)
Infusion d'Iris is my "power suit" scent. I wear it on days when I dress to impress. I love it.
Great review Katie. It always makes me happy to see your happy face in my youtube inbox! :)
Haha, I love that you said "power suit". My version of that expression is "power blouse". I think of those 80s puffy blouses with pussycat bows tied at the neck. Worn with a power suit, of course!
I love it when you review scents I already own! I bought Infusion d'Iris just because I love Iris scents; I was not disappointed. Infusion d'iris smells clean to me compared to my other favorite iris scent, Hiris by Hermes, which smells "earthy" to me.
Girl where've you been?! You really should consider doing a perfume review book like Luca Turin. You're the most professional and intelligent perfume reviewer on youtube! Love ya!
Enjoyed your review as always!! I've worn d'Iris by Prada, but as a newbie I was at a loss in describing the fragrance. You have given me not only the words but the encouragement to branch out into a fragrance discoveries. Thanks!!
I used this perfume, I'm a men, it's powdery.... worth it!
im a man and i use it too
Rangga Febrian me too
"... interesting, powdery, esoteric fragrance that some people say smells like cash." This is the best one line summary of the iris root effect in perfumery. Infusion d'Iris sounds gorgeous.
It's always a good day when you're back! :)
Yeeesssss thank you Katie!! I'm badly madly wildly in love with this one!
Me too Natty! I love this one and it works so well on a man's skin. Perfect to be added to Katie's Women's fragrance that can be worn by me. But you know what I always say in my reviews? "Wear what you love and not what 'they' say you should like!"
Welcome back Katie :-)
:-)
This caused me to dig into my stash, pull out a sample and give this another try. I like it better than I did a year go so far. We'll see...
For a while I preferred D'Iris to D'Homme. I am back in the D'Homme camp now, D'Iris is still a pretty scent.
Missed you - glad to see you are still "smelling"!
Great to see a review from you. Great review as always.
To me, it smells like a field of Iris flowers that have been plowed. The crisp, pungent smell is pure Iris. There is some powdery-ness to it, but nothing overwhelming. After about 30 min on, the cedar and mandarine start to take stage with the warmth from Neroli. It is clean, and regal. Best way I could describe it would be, this is probably something the Duchess of Cambridge or Lady Diana would smell like.
I love Infusion d'Iris *so* *much*.
We miss your always gorgeous input on perfumes Katie! Maybe you'll be back here at some point. :3
Hey Katie other then molecule 01 what's a fragrance you prefer to smell on men. I checked fumefinder, you had plenty of great choices, But whats a fragrance that comes to mind til this day. Great review Katie always enjoyed, Hope to see you again soon.
One of my favorites. The scent throughout the day just keeps getting better. Great lasting power.
Long time no see Katie! Missed your reviews so badly! Specially since i have been on a perfume kick lately again...totally obsessed!! I smelled this one recently and i also thought it was lovely, but i need to test it more calmly as i was in a hurry in that moment.. and tomorrow is my bday! So i guess i will have some extra cash to spare in perfumes. I was thinking about Bronze Goddess by Stee Lauder or the new Terracota perfume that Guerlain is going to launch like..in 2 weeks. Both very beachy scents, perfect for summer..but infusion might be a candidate as well!!
Love it - "Then you're dumb"!! Well said! I just love your descriptions; like reading a well written book. Descriptive visuals and senses. Well done! Question: what to do when Guerlain comes out w/ seasonal "Terracotta Le Parfum" and no way to get a sample or smell. I think I'm dying to smell it, perhaps own it if its what I think from their description. I don't want to spend $72 blind buying! How to put my Want to sleep? What would Katie Puckrik do? Big hugs, Susan
Hi Susan - thanks for the props - and for tipping me off to Terracotta. Seems like Guerlain are doing their version of Estee Lauder's yearly iteration of Bronze Goddess. I'm intrigued - especially after reading the frothing write-up on the BestThingsinBeauty blog. WWKPD? I would read all the reviews on perfume blogs (like the helpful one PerfumeShrine), check decant sites like SurrendertoChance and ThePerfumedCourt to see if they offer decants, and then decide whether to take the plunge on a blind buy. Since it's a limited edition, you could easily sell it on to another perfume lover if you decide it's not for you.
layer infusion d iris with no 5 eau premiere = ooooooh my dayz this is lush !
I’ve been watching you for years and you are the Queen of fragrance reviewers. I’m. A true fan. By the way I love safron ginger, clove and sage...any recommendations for men or unisex?
love your review! I can literally smell it as you describe it
I love this fragrance. I've been wearing it since it was launched. Currently on my 3rd bottle.
After trying Knize Two today, I realized Infusion d’Iris and Knize Two are similar in its powdery iris/violet. Knize Two seems smoother, less metallic. Both worth a try by all, no matter the intended market.
I agree with everything you have shared here. I had to give this one away because I could not deal with its persistence. It was just too much for me. But I agree, it is a very beautiful perfume.
Thanks Katie! I've missed you! Think I'll pull out my Infusion d'Iris and wear it tomorrow. Haven't worn it in awhile : )
You are back! I hope for good :-). I miss you here and so many fragrances await your reviews. Get to work, girl!
Thanks for cracking the whip!
It smells like pampers then turns into total goodness!
Hahahahaaa!
Smells like cash to Prada
I was just thinking yesterday that it had been ages since I'd last watched one of your videos. Lovely to have you back! And TH-cam is even letting me write comments again. Hurrah!
This is one of my favourite secret scents - it just smells nice, but not overwhelmingly so. Now I'm back in the UK I'm finding the fragrances I wore in Paris are either too strong or too powdery (I finally get what you said about Baiser Volé!). Really hope Infusion d'Iris still hits the spot.
I find the same thing: different perfumes work in different environments.
Thanks for the Hurrah!...and glad you can comment again.
Katie, missed you! :)
Did you try Bois D'iris from The different company ?
it is really exquisite!
That one is a sophisticatedly-spicy joy.
So looking forward to another video! Soon maybe?
Katie thank you so much for doing these reviews with your wonderful nose! Could you please suggest a fragrance that smells like candied violets as the main note? Thanks again for everything! ♡
Hi Miss HB - try Annick Goutal Le Violette.
Love your videos! Will you be making more soon?
Also, could you do a review on Chanel gardenia & beige? Also on the Herme's perfumes. Seems they are hot on youtube & wanted your opinion. thx
Where have you been girlfriend? Don't you EVER take that long to grace me with your presence again! Hehe (no, seriously) thanks for this review, I own this fragrance and you are right on!
ps one of my all time favorite fragrances is Calèche Eau Délecate by Hermes can you review that for me if you haven't already? Pretty please? Also, if someone wanted to send you something, where would they send it??? Ugh, no matter how you ask that it's impossible not to sound like a creeper or stalker. :/
all hail the puckrik! lol great to see another video from you :-)
Your videos have been missed💐🌼 Good to see ya!!!
Thanks, BBB!
Good to see you back :)
love this perfume for spring and summer days, great review x
My favorite frag! Can You please recomend anything simular to this warm but yet light fragrance? I'm using (untitled) Maison Martin Margiela at the moment as an replacemant to my beloved Iris Prada. I'm contenplating getting a fullsize Chanel 19...Any other suggestions? And sooo glad to see your back!
Why don't you treat yourself to a bottle of Chanel 19 pure parfum?
Katie Puckrik Smells Thank you for your kind advice! Naturally, I immediately ran out to try Chanel 19 again. Edp on one arm- powdery and feminine and Edt on the other...Oh boy, I kind of like that bitter slap of green. Very springy! Gorg! The pure perfume is not available in shops around here, so I guess I just have to add it to my sample order list... : )
Goshdang it I just spent a fortune on a 90ml refillable Alien and 150ml Dior Homme Intense and now I want Infusion D'iris too... I'm going to be a very fragrant hobo.
My favorite iris-based fragrance has to be Iris de Nuit by Heeley. I got a sample from Luckyscent (because it's far too expensive for me at the moment,) but I think it's beautiful. Probably the perfect iris frag...grape-like, powdery and crisp
Thank you so much for doing this review. I agree with you, infusion d'iris is something you apply sparingly. I would like to know your take on paco rabanne's ultraviolet for women though...
Thank you for your reviews and the fume finder. Its the only way I would have ever known about Penhaligon`s Amaranthine which has become my signature scent.
Sounds intriguing , will have to get my nose on it . Thanks for the great review , long time no see . Katie , what's your best recommendation for a young 45 year old male who's wife really give complements on his fragrance . Thx
Try Comme des Garcons Palisander. So mmmmmm and beautiful and easy to wear.
This is so perfect on my pale, dry skin. I'm a Virgo and it's a perfect match for me. I love the Vetiver version (for men, but who cares?) Also the limited edition from last summer "l'eau" with the pink cap (it has a minty edge) is beyond incredible. Kind of an aloof scent, but it's a great confidence booster. Never too loud. I'm told I smell "expensive" when I wear it!
Susie, it's fab to find a soulmate in a perfume, isn't it? Fascinating that a mere smell can conjure something so complex and hard-to-define as "expensive" or sophisticated".
Thanks for responding :) I just watch you here I like that much better then text form but I will check out the blog for sure :) please make more videos!
great as always. I like this fragrance a lot but find it very dry and airy, and I tend to lean towards more juicy fragrances or gourmands. Have you tried Fat electrician by Etat Libre D'orange? that is another very dry unisex fragrance, woodsy hazlenut with an interesting, if not slightly pretentious concept...but all good fun!
I love Etat Libre d'Orange's naughtiness! Fat Electrician is a good recommendation.
This is one that I heard so much about and so wanted to love but alas we did not mesh. On me, the sillage is incredibly intense and over-powering...and not in a good way. It also manages to give me an incredible headache. I've tried it on several occasions, but it was just not meant to be.
Elizabeth, you are so right - the sillage on this one is indeed intense. It's THERE and doesn't ever go away. And if Infusion doesn't fall into your department of delight, it'll be a fork in the brain.
I like this perfume too. I don't know where I got the samples, but I am going to buy it. Nice to see you again, and thanks for sharing. :)
Samples are funny like that - sometimes they just "appear".
ha, ha, ha, ha...this is true. I still don't know why I get Bond no. 9 samples. I've not found one yet that I really enjoy.
Your review sounds a bit like Chanel No 19...which I love.
Birds can be heard chirping in the background, giddy like me to have you back :)
Watcha been up to all this while that's been keeping you from us?
I love hearing those birdies on this vid!
I do regret my sporadic attendance on the smallest screen, but I'm aiming to improve my regularity. I've been preoccupied with not-as-fun-as-perfume, real-life matters, as well as the demands of my TV/radio work in the UK. Very grateful to you and the rest of you fumeheads for hanging in with me.
Nice to see you again beautiful lady... nice review with your distinct amazing style...!
What about projection and The bubble cloud ?... how much does it last?
im a male and i use this perfume sometimes (2-3 days a week)
Unisex in your opinion? I enjoy Iris quite a bit if it doesnt sway to far to the femme side of the aisle. lol
I've only smelled this on gorgeous women, but what I've come to learn is that there's something about the built-in "man smell" that can butch up pretty much any perfume. If you find the Infusion d'Iris edp too "pretty", you could try the edt or the newer l'eau version for a leaner iteration that might read as more masculine. But really when it comes to fragrance: no rules. A beautiful smell is a beautiful smell.
Ugh! tmrw, i gotta march into Nordstrom and put this on. Thank! Katie for making my day even more busy than it is! really! :)
March-two-three-four!
Katie I recently bought guilietta by tocca and I was wondering if you have a review on it and if not can you do one?
I must do some Tocca reviews - long overdue! They've got some really appealing perfumes.
hey katie, i love ur reviews! please review Serge Lutens's perfume!
would you recommend this to someone who loves jour d'hermes ?
"I'm a Male" and Love this one on the opposite sex...
im a male and i use this...
Great review Katie! I tried this one years ago and I hated it because it was so powdery. Not my thing. It never developed into a better fragrance either as it evolved.
I have a small list though of fragrances that I think would be great to review!!!
- Hiris, by Hermes
- Pino Silvestre, by Pino Silvestre
- Grey Vetiver, by Tom Ford
- Ambre Rive by Tom Ford
I've got you covered on Grey Vetiver, it's on a Fall Fragrance Picks video.
Have it, love it. It's weird and sharp. Smells a bit like medicine.
Can u next do a review in the limited edition Roses De Chloe by Chloe?...:)
Now you've created this weird thing in my life, let me explain: I'm a guy you see, but you sold this so well that I just have to try it now. I'm certainly adding this on my significant other list purchases. Any age range on this one Katie? 25 and up I assume.
Thank you, I will check it out. Valuable information. Have a great day!
root9065, I've pretty much given up thinking certain fragrances marketed to women are too girly for guys, after smelling Le Labo Lys 41 on Le Labo co-founder Eddie Roschi. Lys 41 is a bright, pretty gardenia/jamine, and Eddie is a tall, dark, dude-like dude. And he smelled fantastic wearing it - very fresh garden-y. In that spirit, I'd encourage you to explore Infusion d'Iris. (Infusion d'Homme is very different, still based on Iris, but without the tremendous presence of its sister scent.) Maybe give the eau de toilette version of of Infusion a try - it will be a little leaner to wear. And yes, age range - I'd say 20's and up.
Thank you so much Katie. Matter of fact, I've just been to the mall tonight and tried Infusion d'Iris and boy, did you nail it. That thing is amazing. I'm a massive fan of Dior Homme so yes, you never know I might end up wearing Infusion d'Iris. I first discovered it on another reviewer's channel "Natalee Patel" (who also commented on this video) but you really put it into focus. Thank you for your valuable insight. Have a great day!
Dior Homme is gorgeous!
Thanks Katie .
this is a beautiful perfume. to me it's this lovely cool Woody-green powdery incense smell. it smells like money. Silver coins and a cache of green currency.
It's my FAVORITE. ♥️
I quite liked it, but when I tried my little sample my fiance asked me if I had taken a shower that day haha
I would love for you to do byredo reviews.
I've got some on my blog and one on Sali Hughes blog, where I'm a contributor. Haven't done a video review yet. Byredo Rose Noir is in high rotation in my collection.
Thanks Katie. X
You can do no perfume wrong.
My favorite perfume...
Brilliant review, what a disappointment you no longer do that kind of stuff.
Don't care for this one, although I love the Absolue flanker version. Not as chilly or metallic.
I'm eager to try the Absolue version. In fact, it's on my to-do list today!
Hello again
I like this perfume, but my honey does't,in his opinion it is not modern and like for old ladies
Domestic perfume dispute!
PLEASE REVIEW VIKTOR&ROLF'S NEW BONBON PERFUME ! :)
neato mosquito!!!
Hmmm...I'm speechless.
