I just bought one of these as my first airsoft sniper. I’m from the UK so I’ve never fired real-steel, so it was really interesting to hear a real-steel sniper give their perspective! I haven’t had chance to take mine out yet either, so I’m looking forward to your follow up vid :)
Really liked the first impression review on this sniper rifle. Looks like a few upgrades to get the fps and joules up, but will be worth it. Definitely looking forward to the next video after upgrades are done.
Awesome review. I use a srs a2 and have had the a1 as well. Silverback gets a lot of shit for being pricey but out of the box they’re pretty much the best rifles out there as far as I know.
wow just found your channel and got back into airsoft, i hope you continue to grow this channel and attract other real steel shooters, operators, and officers to this community.
Great review. As a wrong handed rifle shooter I've never shot a left handed gun (airsoft or real). I love that the manufactures are finally making guns for players instead of just collectors. I recently got the SSG10a1 because of the price but I'd love to get something like this one day.
@@GunfatherMilsim yup, that's what I get for commenting before having my morning coffee. I'm not even sure what I was getting at with that. I prefer shooting with the bolt handle on the right so I can work it with my off hand. Mostly I was just commenting for the algorithm.
I think your original comment is valid. I shoot, fight and throw (poorly) right handed because like many left handed kids I just grew into being ambidextrous.
@@GunfatherMilsim I'm the opposite. I'm actually right handed and left eye dominant. So I do most things right handed (shoot pistols, throw also poorly, write, etc...) but I shoot bows and rifles left handed.
Hey man I've been binging some of your videos and really appreciate your content. As someone who shoots real firearms and plays airsoft I appreciate someone who knows about shooting. It's amazing some of the cringe I hear in the airsoft community when trying to discuss firearms and shooting.
Absolutely love this rif I'm currently running Full weight wasp and airbreak piston with 40a damper head 2j rapax spring Tnt aps s plus barrel 70 degree hop rubber Making 2.21j on 0.45s Approx 100m range
I'll do some testing at the range on weekend and give you some results, shoots like a laser a big difference was the barrel for range as the tnt is fluted at the tip.
You got new spring results yet ??? Would love to know as buying this in few days and obvs wanna know before ordering a couple springs to dial it in. Thanks
Yep. Dialed in right at 2.81 joule with .45g BBs. Unfortunately I have not had a chance to field it yet with the stronger spring in it. Work has been keeping me busy.
As a lefty, or as you mentioned it, the wrong-hander, the ambidextrous feature of the bolt handle is a major plus for me. But the price is a major deterrent for my wallet.
Thx for a honest review. i hate all the video on airsoft that go `` oh that is great out of the box, look, a barrel, a trigger, omg amazing shooter `` and when you buy it are crap. is so hard to be honest (or not sold to the sponsor) ?
That is the only way I do them. I only do reviews of things I find some value in. There are things that get sent to me that are just shit. I typically email the manufacturer with some suggestions for making improvements.
I would like to ask a question about TAC41P: Will the three screws that lock the barrel have the specified locking torque? If not, should it be locked tighter or not too tight? Thanks.
I don't know what the specific torque setting is on those screws. Furthermore, I did not test the effect the tightness of those screws had on accuracy if any. I suspect it is a non issue with this gun's design.
Hope those springs come soon. would really like to know what your Jouls are and fps. I've been shooting .40 in my Striker AS01 with a 160 and its great. Wondering how silent and what range you get with a bigger bb. either .32 or .40. Waiting to see what you get. I was getting 2.9J and at least 80yds with the .4s Good luck and good hunting.
I have the upgraded spring and it put me right at the limit of 2.86 joule with .45g Longbow BBs. Unfortunately I have not had the chance to field it yet, only shoot it in my backyard. I have been working on the best way to do a performance comparison video between it and my A&K M24. A quick 25 yard group size range test will be of limited value.
@@GunfatherMilsim so many Americans are like that.. they get set in there ways with muscle memory & don’t want to learn something new, even if it’s an improvement (or not) a lot of Europe don’t have these hang ups so many military & police have adopted a bullpup platform. Don’t worry the US will adapt eventually lol. Only joking mate, just a bit of fun. We all know you guys should win WW3 🤞🏼
@SparkyMTB LOL. Yeah I understand what you are saying. It is 90% the trigger. The design requires a long linkage between the trigger and the firing pin. It just makes for a heavy, awkward trigger. I have fired them and I can't get passed it. Yes, a longer barrel in a shorter platform is nice but at what cost.
vortexoptics.com/diamondback-hp-4-16x42.html I believe it is the deadhold BDC in MOA. I honestly have only ever used the scope for airsoft so the reticle is irrelevant.
Wait... this thing requires a 10mm socket to take apart the cylinder? WELP FOLKS, guess we are leaving them all stock since the 10mm socket basically disappears into the void after you purchase one... Jk, looks like a fun toy!
If you tip the muzzle down while you cycle those 28 BBs will feed but you are correct. It is not ideal. Still a far superior design than the magazine design of the VSR10 or A&K M24.
You can use the cheek riser knob to remove the cylinder head. When you unscrew it there is a 10mm head on it
Thanks. I did not notice that.
Eagerly awaiting your follow up on this, since I've been on the fence between this, and the newer Action Army Rifle. -JustADad

So, what were the results of the new springs?
I got it dialed in right at the field limit. I covered it in the below video.

do you have a link to the exact vortex diamondback scope you use? is it moa or mrad?

what sunshade are you using for the scope? im only finding the sunshad for the tactical 40mm scope
disregard, i see it comes with the sunshade
Get some 0.48 g bbs with your stronger spring. ;)
I generally use .45 g Longbow brand. Recently a field I play at regularly set a .40 g limit on snipers.
Name scope please. !!
