I stayed up late last night to make sure I had this video set to release at noon today. I made a lot of progress so far this year. I am ahead of schedule to earn my Eagle in less than two years. Stay tuned for next week's video premiering at Noon Saturday!
Thanks for watching. I recently achieved my goal of Eagle Scout in 2 years. See my recent status update m.th-cam.com/video/OPMnuAJ2KTQ/w-d-xo.html#dialog
Yes, I am now aware of the full responsibilities of an SPL. Since this video, I have grown as a scout AND as a leader. See how much I have progressed here! :) th-cam.com/video/demn4XNR6to/w-d-xo.html
If you follow the program as written by the guidelines then it's 1 year to first class, 4 months to star, 6 to life and 6 to eagle. That is 2 years, 4 months. However, many camps offer a trail to eagle to cut down the time to first class, which could really be done in 3 months. I am surprised we don't see more 12-year-old eagles. Good job.
Wait faught where can I find the program guidelines I’ve been in bsa for a year and I am currently a tenderfoot while my friends are first class and I really wanna catch up
Look in your Scout Handbook but you can find them online too. Each rank has a minimum time attached to it along with requirements. That's why I say that the fastest you can get to first class is 3 months. Most of the requirements you need for the first ranks revolve around camping and learning safety while camping and hiking. As long as your troop is camping each month and you are planning menus and cooking and learning your knots and how to build fires and pitch tents along with safety, you can progress quickly. You can also go ahead and work on badges, though you won't need any badges until you get to the upper ranks. Good luck. @@Djk9ar
Good job! The ranks past First Class (Star, Life and Eagle) are the gateway into leadership where you now have to learn to guide others. It is challenging, but I'm sure you are capable of leading Troop 16 :) Here is my video when I first got Star Scout th-cam.com/video/EfZvHb-sDnw/w-d-xo.html
Congrats! What did Scouting, not just earning Eagle Scout, do for you? Most if the feedback I get is new experiences, leadership, teamwork, confidence, and making work fun.
Nice video and la no Che I went to last year in June of 2018 and I’m currently a patrol leader, only scout rank(working on tenderfoot) and elections have just happened recently in our troop, and I recently got elected as the webmaster

Another easy way to obtain merit badges is to ask your parent for (whatever merit badge counselor they are) to give it and do nothing I’m not saying that because I’ve done it before… I’m just t young you a tip
Personally I don’t see the point to getting in 2 years it’s not about how fast you get it it’s about what you learned what experiences you have had. I’ve been life for 3-4 years and just had my court of honor 2 months after I turned 18 I’ve had my board done on June 1st
That’s too bad. Some of the easier ones can be finished in a few 30 min sessions. Does your District offer Merit Badges at the monthly Roundtable meeting? Are there any Merit Badge University offered?

I’m a part of the Eagle Scout class of 2019. My troop at board of reviews would purposely not put us through this quickly. If you become and Eagle within two years it’s not as much of a good thing. The reason I say this is because down the road you will not retain nearly as much information as someone who had played an active part in their troop and have taken a longer time to achieve Eagle!
Hah this cant ever happen you need to hold 7 ranks and need to wait 6 months between them and you can become a SPL until you are at least 1st class . Nice try
Glad you aren’t the senior patrol leader in my troop. Your pride seems to be directly in your way. You display a lack of serious leadership skills. As senior patrol leader you should be doing more than anyone else. You are a servant, not the “highest power”. Your whole premise goes against everything scouts values.
As Stan Lee wrote in Spiderman “with great power comes great responsibility.” My Scouting videos are directed at Scouts NOT adults. This is how Scouts talk to each other. This is how Scouts learn from each other (if you have a Scout led Troop). If you read the SPL Handbook, nothing I posted about the SPL position goes against scout values: “... the senior patrol leader is the leader of the troop... responsible for the troop’s overall operation... takes charge of troop meetings, of the patrol leaders’ council, and of all troop activities, and he does everything he can to help each patrol be successful... responsible for annual program planning conferences and assists the Scoutmaster in conducting the troop leadership training... presides over the patrol leaders’ council and works closely with each patrol leader to plan troop meetings and make arrangements for troop activities.” To a boy or girl in Scouts BSA that translates to the “highest power”.
David Wright Scouts BSA is supposed to value the Scout not be demeaning and condescending. I am glad I am not in “your Troop”. I would rather be in a Troop led by #macguzman

Even as a SPL you still need to be Helpful. Remember a leader shows leadership by aiding. A boss stands aside and forces others to do the work.

Hello Eagle Scout Mac Guzman 😁
Hello Molly McCafee thanks for watching
I earned my Eagle back in 2016 when I was 15. You’re already on a great track, good luck!
Congrats! What was your project?
Nice job! I’m a first class scout as well from troop 16

@@EagleScoutMacGuzman scouting mainly taught me how to be a patriot. I plan on using that eagle scout to go to the Navy
Awesome. Good luck. My dad was in the military.
There should be no hack to being a Eagle Scout. That is something earned with respect and pride.
“Hack” as in Life Hack - A life hack is any skill or method that increases productivity and efficiency. Not a cheat.
