Roundabouts are actually soothing. At nights, when the traffic slows down, you sleep in no time flat. I have done that too. Was homeless for 3 years in my younger days.

Best bit about the roundabout idea is no dog walkers, the hounds always come and have a sniff around and some times the owner comes over to have a look, then bang goes the stealth element.

Billy, to find leaks on an inner tube we would put soapy water on it and wherever it bubbled there was a leak. Understand it works on sleeping mats too :-) I know you've probably solved the problem a long time ago but this is for other people that might not know.

I did this sort of thing in my younger years, i always found a kind of tranquilitiy listening to all the hustle and bustle of the traffic going past. Great vlog brings back memories.

Never really thought about it, seeing I'm from the sticks and the nearest roundabout is about 60 miles away, same for traffic lights😀👍👍

My 1st night in France, I camped on a partly constructed ring road around St Omer, thinking I'd be hassle-free. 5.30am comes, and the construction team rock up in their rubble lorry. Seeing my tent in the distance they speed up, turn the engine off and silently coast up to my tent. Then let off the air horn. The bastards did share their coffee with me, though.

Use to wild camp all the time in England when I was younger. A lot of the time without a tent. Just a sleeping bag placed inside one of those waterproof survival bags. No one cares about you walking into the bushes. They just think you are cutting through or going to take a pee. The main thing to watch out for these days is all the police surveillance cameras on every street corner which can also monitor roundabouts.
Been going round in circles thinking of a place to Wild Camp? Enjoyed this in a roundabout sort of way.The great outdoors with the gentle roar of traffic,exhaust fumes and never a dull moment collecting car registration numbers.Could possibly leave you feeling tyred though - tread carefully !

That looked like a small roundabout Billy but looked liked a great spot for the camp. I think getting into the bushes was the hardest bit. The meal looked pretty good they seem to be getting better and more imaginative these roundabout meals. Stay safe catch you soon.
I’d imagine most people aren’t looking into the roundabout when they should be watching for other cars! With all the trees you will be safe from any cars that may venture off road.

If you can find the hole in your sleeping mat, there's a brilliant repair product called "Storm Sure". It's a liquid adhesive that also fills holes. It's made in England, too. :-)

Theres a bit on the M53 up her in the North where the motorway splits..very dense woods about 100ft wide 500ft long. I always think about camping there. Bit dodgy running across a motorway though!
I like your channel and it is very interesting to watch, as I have often noticed such places near to roads but looking quite wild and natural, miniture nature reserves surrounded by frantic, noisy polluting un-natural traffic, its total contrast of one thing to the other. What is quite funny though is that by reading a few of the comments, some people really don't like what you are doing and seem a bit angry about it!

Cool idea, I've fantasized about this as well. Sleeping ontop of bus stop bench shelters.
I hope you check out the little patches of woodland you see off the motorway, maybe the M5 or M4 etc That would be pretty cool.
