You should be dancing, How deep is your love, You win again. All great songs. It hit hard when Maurice died suddenly and Robin passed away around 10 yrs later. The youngest brother, Andy, died at 30. Barry is alone. He has a wonderful family but nothing can replace what he had with his brothers since childhood
But in retrospect, this song has this bittersweet overtone, since Barry did end up alone after his brothers had passed. Thank you for the reaction, Michael! Always a fan.
@@70sMusicLadyYes, the sister. But him and his brother were always thick as thieves. Their harmonies always sound like a perfectly tuned instrument. And Robin's voice in this song sounds like a silver flute to me. Thanks for your input! Take care!
@@sharonstephens5447 I did know that. I just know she's currently not in the business. I wonder if there is any video out there where she is with them? I haven't done a lot of searching for one yet, but would love to see/hear it.

Also Maurice, "Closer than close", "Man in the middle", "Above and beyond", "Hold her in your hand".

And their little bro, and gibb died from an overdose.. i saw him to..for the 70s these guys were true performers...
Most of their lives they had a very special relationship. The sadness is Mo died in 2003 and Robin in 2012 and only older brother Barry is left alone. At time of writing 2024 he will be 78.
Robin is the one you described and he was a fraternal twin to Maurice. He’d quit the BeeGees at one point but came back, thank goodness! Wonderful and timeless music.
Please do a reaction to "This is where I came in". I believe it was their last released single before Maurice died in 2003. Watch the official video, it will make you smile. There is also a "making of" for this video. If you know the Bee Gees history, this song/video is a bit biographical. Barry is the lead singer in this video (on the left). Robin is the one in glasses and black t-shirt on the right. Maurice (pronounced Morris) is in the vest.(in the middle). Robin and Morris were twins. They have all sang lead on different recordings. Check them out individually too.
I saw them both in concert. What a privilege. Those boys PACKED THE STADIUMS !!! COUNTLESSS NUMBER OF TIMES, REALLY ALWAYS...I feel bad about Andy Gibb...his career had a hit a low. When your so loved then people just go to the next band...broke his heart I guess. ...❤❤❤❤ Bamd of Brothers. What an honor to see them both ,
Great reaction. If you haven’t already checked out Wind of Change (1979), Kiss of life, I could not love you more and Wedding Day. You are so right they sing straight from their hearts. Great song writers and performers. ❤❤❤

Check out I Started A Joke, To Love Somebody, and Massachusetts. Guarantee you will love their early phase too, but you won’t fully get them if you don’t hear where they started.

I liked their music from the beginning when New York Mining Disaster hit the radio when I was young. Great time to be alive for music from the Beatles to the incomparable Supremes to The Bee Gees and on and on. Everything was new and I bought albums other than Andy Williams and Ed Ames.
Barry was the hot one, Maurice was the multi-talented one, and Robin was just an amazing singer in his own right that was relegated to harmony most of the time. The decades of brilliance is unmatched by almost any artists out there. Writing, producing, performing. You'd be shocked to know how many hit songs of theirs were sung by other artists. Such magic.
Robin actually sang lead on many of their early, pre disco songs when they sang mostly in their chest voices. Barry became the main lead when they came into the disco era and their vocals centered largely in their distinctive falsetto harmony.
Oh, I know. My fave is Massachusetts . I’m 61 now but I heard them all the time thanks to my much older siblings. I’m grateful to have been exposed to so many genres.@@Paladin70
