Amtrak Pere Marquette

Amtrak Pere Marquette train arrived St. Joseph, MI in snowing from Grand Rapids yesterday. They had two locomotives and four coaches cars. I posted video here several years ago. I forgot to change from Private to Public.

Please do! I did a few overnight train trips in Winter. It was beautiful to see outside from the train. This train is not overnight trip. They have about four hours trip between Chicago and Grand Rapids.

I took 3 days and 4 nights train trip on The Canadian between Toronto and Vancouver three times. Two one way The Canadian train and two one way Amtrak train trip (Seattle- Chicago). I took train between Vancouver and Seattle twice. Last time I took a 6 days and 8 nights around trip on the Canadian in cold Winter. It was nice. But last time I took return train from Vancouver. They replaced Park Car with new Prestige Park Car. I didn't like it. So I decided I stop coming back. They raised fares. I miss their regular Park Car. Prestige Bedroom was $7,500.00 per room one way. Now it is $10,000. I will still go on Amtrak train between Chicago and Seattle or West. They are much cheaper than The Canadian Train,. One week cruise is much cheaper and have more fun. You can see videos of my trip on You Tube. I had upper and lower section berth on The Canadian. I had roomette on Amtrak. I was lucky. I went on The Canadian train few weeks after freight car derailed and had fire. I thought they would cancel my trip but they open first time. Then my train returned to Toronto then another freight train derailed on bridge and had fire. I glad I didn't get stuck there. I posted video of burning freight cars on You Tube, too.
