Please do! I did a few overnight train trips in Winter. It was beautiful to see outside from the train. This train is not overnight trip. They have about four hours trip between Chicago and Grand Rapids.

I took 3 days and 4 nights train trip on The Canadian between Toronto and Vancouver three times. Two one way The Canadian train and two one way Amtrak train trip (Seattle- Chicago). I took train between Vancouver and Seattle twice. Last time I took a 6 days and 8 nights around trip on the Canadian in cold Winter. It was nice. But last time I took return train from Vancouver. They replaced Park Car with new Prestige Park Car. I didn't like it. So I decided I stop coming back. They raised fares. I miss their regular Park Car. Prestige Bedroom was $7,500.00 per room one way. Now it is $10,000. I will still go on Amtrak train between Chicago and Seattle or West. They are much cheaper than The Canadian Train,. One week cruise is much cheaper and have more fun. You can see videos of my trip on You Tube. I had upper and lower section berth on The Canadian. I had roomette on Amtrak. I was lucky. I went on The Canadian train few weeks after freight car derailed and had fire. I thought they would cancel my trip but they open first time. Then my train returned to Toronto then another freight train derailed on bridge and had fire. I glad I didn't get stuck there. I posted video of burning freight cars on You Tube, too.

Hi, Last I was there last year. They told me that both cats were passed away. They don't have sand cat. I wish they would get another sand cat there. I think they replace with dog or something there. I miss seeing Sand cat there. Most of time they were sleeping when I was there. But few times I caught them walking and eating.

Yes, they run thought New Buffalo. No stop at New Buffalo. They ran on different track. Not on Amtrak track where other train run between Chicago and Detroit. Today they ran train with same Amfleet cars. I hope they will run with Superliner cars again. I can't wait to see new passenger cars come in from Sieman plant soon.

Changes are made at Union because the Montreal and Ottawa trains are combined to Brockville where the two sections are separated, one to Ottawa and the remainder to Montreal.

They go to South Bend Indiana.

@russelllauer8323: They should schedule even more trains to and from the South Bend International Airport Station. Between Gary and Michigan City IN double tracking is now complete and it would be possible to schedule more trains.

They don't need two engines. They were lazy to turn train around at Grand Rapids. They have jct there. Sometime they ran train with one engine without dummy engine. Most of time they run train with one engine and dummy engine. Sometime they run train with two engines.

Today and yesterday they ran with one new locomotive only. No rear locomotive. I like it. They don't need two locomotives there.

Nope. NCPU's will still be used. The chargers are the locomotive. In my opinion, I thin the NPCU's look good.

They usually have dummy locomotive and one real locomotive. Sometime they run with two engines. Few times they run with one locomotive only. No dummy locomotive.

On my Chromebook, I'm working on my Amtrak train floor plans for North America, but 1 locomotive can be difficult on Amtrak trains. I'm designing Amtrak Auto Train for the Midwest because we absolutely need to get rid of traffic jams! It will include the Amtrak P42DC Phase VB's and the Amtrak P42DC Heritage locomotives #145, #184, extra Amtrak P42DC veterans locomotive #42, Superliner coaches, and Horizon coaches.
