  • The core of the PSTX is made up of the Swiss models, cymbals that achieve a noisy, dirty, trashy sound quality by the use of specific layouts and varied sizes for the holes. Their silky surface distinguishes the cymbals visually.
    The PST X Swiss Medium Crash delivers an energetic, aggressive and trashy attack. This is a good cymbal for crash riding at higher volumes.

    Finally a drummer who can really play! Usually the gear is poorly demonstrated because the players are terrible ! Thanks

    Considering the trend in cymbals with big holes in them, I'm going to start selling a line of cymbals that are 100% holes, there is no metal at all, just air and you can just imagine how great they will sound.

    Liked the sound of all of them but absolutely loved the flanger and the swiss hi hat.

    Four bars into the actual groove, he does this tasty accent on beat 4 that floats past 1 into the next bar. Gotta tell ya, I'm a fan.

    I went out and bought a pair of 14" pstx swiss hats. Love the sound however, it's a risky thing when you try to pull off some intricate stick patterns on the top because of the holes. My sticks went through the holes many times while doing some Carter Beauford-ish sticking patterns. I just wish that they'd design the hats with more surface area to play on the top. Otherwise, fantastic product!

      I've watched people play them and never thought about that. What are the holes for exactly? Just to get different tones?

      Biglover29 I guess the purpose is to make it sound "thrashy"' if it makes sense?

    Great demo and playing. I was only thinking about picking up one cymbal but when he crashed the two cymbals, kinda thinking of buying two cymbals.

    Always wondered why cymbals had the “swiss cheese” look. Now I know. 😀

    Some of those cymbals sound a lot like aluminum pie pans. Very thin sound.

    It’s bad to have cymbals tilt away from you

    • @spencerboyum6086
      @spencerboyum6086 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Not necessarily. If they are low enough, like in his setup, the angle at witch you're hitting the cymbals is just about as ergonomic as if you had them higher up and they were flat or slightly titled toward you.
