1:43 No need in hammering. Just disassemble and let it soak in acetone. For that you need a container with a lid. Pour 1inch of acetone put parts in it. Then close the lid and vapours will soften grease and "glued" parts within 30 minutes.

I tried to do the same, with 30 amp 16v BMS, but I recicle the 18650 cells of a old laptop battery and i didn´t mesure the total current of them and, when I press the button, the drill just spin a little bit and i think the bms gets protected because the drill exced the limit of 30 amps or the current of my battery packs isnt enogh at all. Real amazing job. Is it possible send mine to be restored?

  • @zolatanaffa87

    Hi, excellent restoration.
Rather than halving the battery capacity, the few mm that were missing when closing the battery pack I would have recovered by adding a plastic strip to the original shell, a somewhat demanding but not impossible job, certainly the screws were long enough to allow it.
Fortunately, then you found another larger battery pack and so you recovered the 4.4Ah pack
just one explanation, please, is the white powder you use just plain soap powder, or a particular product?
Of course I am not referring to the baking soda that you used to finish the wash and whose box you showed in the video
    ciao from italy

fully charged, when I try to pierce something or screw the screwdriver off as soon as it starts, it is as if the battery is very charged low.
I disassembled it and tested cell by cell with the Liitokala and all have 4.2v 2.1 to 2.2Ah.
    what could it be?
could it be the BMS card?
    Grateful.

For more viewer's satisfaction, you can spray paint the motor cover, you can whiten the yellowish part inside. Anyway nice restoration.

What did you use as a charger for the drill?

  • @ongnoij4014

Well it's a good work but sometimes is it worth doing so,just to buy the new battery and parts may cost more than buying a new drill.brilliant effort anyway.
