You did such a remarkable job on the restoration that I was actually disappointed when you were forced to cut your amps in half! Thank you for showing us that you have a plan for the 4.4Amp assembly. As ridiculous as it is that gave me closure. Can't wait to see the next video!
This video is not only informative to watch but somehow relaxing! I did a restore like this before to a corded drill not because I had to but because I wanted to see if I could do it. The end result was I had a great sence of fulltillment knowing I saved a drill from the land fill to be used for many more years! Not only that, doing it was some how also a way to relax!
To repair those tools is one of the best ways of saving resources for the future! Thanks for showing us all that we only will need the right tools an we can fix everything.

When your soldering iron is not in use, prior to turning it off when it's not needed, melt a fair blob of solder on the tip, then turn it off. Allow it to cool. Your tips will then last 3 or more times longer than usual being coated with solder... Great restoration... WELL DONE!!! 10/10

The two brands: National and Panasonic belong to the same company since the 70s. At the time, the same products were usually branded National in America and Panasonic in Europe. I had a radio that reported, on the plate: National is a Panasonic ... (or vice versa ... time passes) in all cases they were already linked
1:43 No need in hammering. Just disassemble and let it soak in acetone. For that you need a container with a lid. Pour 1inch of acetone put parts in it. Then close the lid and vapours will soften grease and "glued" parts within 30 minutes.

Very nice. This cordless drill sells under another brand to --> Panasonic. I have some of them. Great tools, but battery died a long time ago. Now i can save them. Thanks =)
Thank you, professor, for this adequate explanation. We wish you luck and success in your work. I would like to communicate with you to benefit from your abundant knowledge. Thank you very much.
Thanks for a very nice video 👍. I was shuddering when you were dismantling those planetary gears. Then when you were putting together the three levels of the gears. I would have been lost at that stage 😬😄. This job was beyond “refurbishment”. You made it like new.
This inspired me to take apart my Makita drill that got submersed in water when my basement flooded years ago. I actually got it working again, and even though the batteries were over 10 years old they are working fine.
I realy like the work you have done on those battery cells lately. Especially the fact that you srinkwraps the entire unit after assembly. It looks like it could have come from the factory that way.
Excellent video of drill itself. I would have given a bit more planning to battery replacement before all that assembly work of 18650’s to end up with a 26 watt drill is a shame. Glad he reconsidered. Six cells in a different housing gives over 50W which is more useable.
Next time put more grease in the gearbox and use graphite grease. This grease are good for high pressure and mechanical overload and will protect gear teeth on long term. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I\'m not sure but ,if anyone else wants to discover battery reconditioning business try t.co/YpdloYO92F ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my neighbor got great success with it.

He might have been able to fit all 6 cells in if he had just placed one row of the cells offset to the 1st. Sort of honeycomb pattern.
@Storm Khan, Your idea is acceptable, I will try it. thank you!
@James Brooks Thank you! I don't think that I need to cut amp in half. I will try @Storm Khan's idea.
