Some people complain that it wasn't a full "restoration" because of scratches and other things. I say you restored it perfectly to be used again and again. I am enjoying your videos.
Exactly. It's a tool - scratches don't influence it's function (and anyone who actually USES tools will agree). Personally, I restored most of my power tools from trash to fully functional (it's cheaper to get good tools that way). ..and I always learn a few new things from this channel to help me along the way. Taking apart a dc motor to fix it; that takes dedication... The people commenting about scratches are just restoration video addicts ;) (If it's not better than new at the end, they won't be satisfied)
OMG! When I see people on the street braking things I just come back to here to get my medicine. This is impresive. I love it. Congratulations! Every new machine I buy I take care of it after watching this video.
What's there to say, pure genius, first time here and couldn't believe that 99% would be reused, certainly not the motor. This is Craftmanship dedication with a touch of art combined. Glorious to watch, I'm hooked and signed on, the learning potential is blowing my little mind for sure👏👏👏👏👏
I don’t know anything inside the drill and I don’t know why I watched this but I watched til the end. Amazing!! Wish there are more people like you. Less rubbish to our world.
He’s a pirate , that electric drill doesn’t exist on that brand manufacture list because is a counterfeit product.....so he basically restored a product of piracy origin 🏴☠️.
Excellent. Congratulations. This is the definition of restoration. Most videos on TH-cam are not real restorations This is what I call a genuine restoration.
Unbelievable. Great job. I assume you know you could have sourced that motor.... I presume it was a creative decision, to see if it could be fixed....... I can't believe you fixed it..... that thing was a mess! Great job Sir. Well done.

You must be new to youtube. Did it save the planet, or will this end up in a landfill eventually, anyway, and instead we have tens of thousands of people wasting electricity to watch it and comment? Oh yes, the environmental impact was worse than you thought. Details matter.
finally a restoration thats actually a restoration...minimal exchanging or rebuilding parts. i hate it when people try to change the look of something just to make it look cooler and stuff like that. thank you for a genuine restoration
In similar case I would throw away such completely unusable tool. But now I see it can be repaired with knowledge, consciousness about what you are doing and little bit of love. Now I know more. Yes, let's do something about environment. not our, but world's environment. Thank you. Keep on.

Have you ever considered powder coating the parts that need to be painted? I believe that you could use a large toaster oven to do almost all of the parts you do. Another great job restoring these, thank you for the videos.
Красиво, спасибо, и ведь есть возможность все разобрать, потому что техника делалась на качество а не на количество, с современными агрегатами так не получится к сожалению, все одноразовое, залито компаундом, пластиковое, и приходит очень быстро
Great job this video and its content should be the title of the channel on restoring damaged things to work 😂 there is a lot of effort to restore this piece 😂
Was this thing found at the bottom of the ocean? It's so rusty! I would suggest using PB Blaster or Liquid wrench to free those rusted together parts. I've found it to work better than WD-40.
Probably some regular oil, perhaps from the kitchen. Research bluing or heat tempering. It makes the screw or part weather resistant and hardened. This can also be done with a liquid blue but isnt so durable, especially for something that you experience wear such as a screw or bolt

Sometimes I wonder if you throw these machines into the Phnom Penh River and let them sit there for an year or two. Later you fish then out, dry them and do the restoration. Lol. But seriously, I strongly wonder how the tools you restore end up in such sad states in the first place!

Do you have to watch your own disassembly video to reassemble?! Damn, that’s too many pieces parts to just remember.
Each part custom fits, only so many places things can go. Much easier to realize that while taking it apart yourself.
