I’m 27, and I still come back and play this game, though I have to emulate it. I freaking love this game. I’ve started playing it again recently, then I thought to look up what a speedrun looked like, so here I am.
Super Paper Mario and Superstar Saga getting new WRs within a day of each other, my two favorite games looking strong and alive in speedrunning! Love to see it Congrats on the WR! The tricks never fail to blow my mind Was the slow mash towards the end of the final fight to avoid her light ball storm attack?
When i was a child the first lugmilla Fight was the roadblock that left me waiting multiple years til i got past :D Always believed that was the finsl Boss xD
turbo is a function on controllers that mash the button for you automatically. This run allows turbo so people don't have to strain themselves mashing. it is banned for attacking though because that would actually alter the game while something like text isnt too important

honestly think superstar saga might have the best version of the underground theme ever.
There should be a category extension for "all bean juice" or whatever the name of the bean coffee is

Yes exactly it’s a super hard dodge and takes really long

nope the switch and gba are identical
the switch is actually ever so slightly faster bc it runs at an even 60fps compared to 59.73fps on gba lol

Whats the point of stacking moustache on luigi? And also, why you sometimes take no effort to dogde attacks and tank the dmg?
no idea about mustache but i guess tanking some damage saves a few seconds of animation over the run
So why do you play in Spanish or what ever language this is I couldn’t read it , is it like faster or just preference
It saves some time like around 10s just due to speed of the text
