In this match it wasn't a "optimal squad". We will see full power today vs Brazil (only Brazil is propably on smiliar level this year). Anyway if we will see "optimal Poland squad" in good condition Brazil will be crushed in 3 or 4 set's.

@@kingofpubg9630 Brazil ist great but Poland is double World Champion and we have 4 "sixes" on the same level of playing. No representation has such a broad composition on an equal level. We won with USA with so high difference of points in 2 sets and after that we demolished Russia with the result in 4th set (25:14). I wish Brazil all the best and I expect a great match, but we have won all the important games with Brazil lately.

USA without Sander and Russell are weak. Tomorrow will be big game Poland vs Russia.
The first set was a bit shakey they did really good in the second, but then coach Speraw changed the lineup in the 3rd set to a bunch players that had no chance against that Polish team.
@@lainsserialexperiments5187 I don't know if you noticed, but Poland in the third set could put up a much stronger line-up with Drzyzga Leon Zatorski or Nowakowski. But the truth is that the Polish team is able to field 3 very strong teams, the level of which will not differ from each other

That’s what I notice too, I watched his games(not just this one) and he played very strategically. He have soft hit, off the block, hard balls. If you’re the blocker you’ll have a difficult time to read his he’s attacks. He’s a good blocker and defense too , plus he’s good in reception too. If I’m gonna choose between him and Kubiak, I choose him.

USA needs Anderson at opposite Patch is just too inconsistent and Ensing is still developing. My starting line up would be

Anderson too slow. He has the height but all he hits are slow pin balls and high d balls. That doesn't cut it anymore
@@NikitaGavroff He still hit over .400 today and you’re undermining the fact that he is an excellent passer and is very consistent.
@@rogerdean3989 smith played well at Zaksa , although he was outshined by Kochanowski and holt played well at monza
I wouldn't call Ensing a player in development since he's already 24 years old. He should be reaching his peak any time now and if he at his current level plays in the Israeli League, I just can't expect too much coming from him in the future.
I love team USA but their game really went down specially in receiving and digging. POL, BRA and RUS are pretty much a taller team but with great receiving and digging they can outshine them! I hope they would perform better in the coming weeks and in the Tokyo Olympics next month.

I was excited to see Matt Anderson back on court. However USA performance lately has been abysmal & disappointing. Cmon USA, time to pick it up.
i mean the only main players have really been christenson and shoji playing, and sometimes holt. it's disappointing now but once russell and taylor and smith come back then i think we'll be good. it has been pretty disappointing though
@@Bobphilia yeah US probably wants to train their secondaries since the Olympics are coming up too and currently the other teams have a much deeper bench than ours
All I know is that of they don't pick up the paste they're not going to make it to the final 4. The way things are going...they need a good miracle at this point.

@@WiesiekM Yeah, but let's be honest, that Polish line-up against Slovenia was bad. 2 defensive OHs, Kubiak first game after a long break, Muzaj after a season he hardly played any VB... There are no excuses, but that line-up was far from optimal.
@@norolimstratus I agree, but still we cannot say that Poland played with their B or C suit. Kaczmarek, Łomacz, Kubiak, Śliwka, Bieniek, Drzyzga etc. They should have won. I think it's a mental thing that they haven't been able to win with Slovenia lately...
@@WiesiekM The psychology definitely plays a role, but I don't think the result would be the same, if Poland played Slovenia with the USA line up.

The Polish setter performed much better than American's, and he set the ball from right to left very fast and long, which made Polish attackers avoid blockers all the time.

Hard to know what is the US men's strategy/approach during this tournament. Everything seems off--timing of sets, slow to cover balls, etc. Even players' demeanor isn't encouraging--visible signs of frustration with each other. The women are playing with a lot of energy, team spirit, and joy, no matter who's on the court.
Very true. I have a feeling they are trying different things until the Olympics. I still think this team can medal, but they need to figure out their lineups.

I think that they save emotional energy and prepare themselves for the Olympic Games, and they will be in perfect disposition there. Despite the easy victory, Poles are not playing the best volleyball yet. Coach Heinen is still experimenting with the squad and preparing the team for the Olympics

Good to see Anderson plays, he is still the most consistent and versatile player. OH in professional league and OP in national team, reception, defense and volleyball IQ, pure joy to watch. This match Micah and MB didn’t have good connections, don’t get me wrong Micah is one of the best setter. OP is always the struggle for US, Patch and Ensing are not there yet even at their age they should at their peak already. Muagututia in this match is really bad, reception is mediocre and he barely score a point when he is in front row with good set…

Where’s the block of US? Third set should start good for the US but it was really bad at 1-6. It was a mess in every aspect. Kudos to Poland. They are the team to beat in this season.
