    The more realistic the better in my humble opinion. I like the last two.

      Agreed. I can't tell though if the DS1 or Homestar Flux is more realistic. The DS1 is more hazy and cloudy with seemingly too many undefined stars. The Homestar Flux has more distinct stars but not as much variation. It's a toss-up for me. I guess I would choose which one is brighter.

    How can you find the Pococo galaxy disc at 1:11. I can't seem to find it anywhere. It is so beautiful, thank you.

    Hey! Can you adjust the angle of that Northen Lighst #11? Depending where I am it's better to point to the ceiling or to a wall. Thanks!

    I like the realistic projectors. I can't tell though if the DS-1 or Homestar Flux is more realistic. The DS-1 is more hazy and smeared with seemingly too many undefined stars. The Homestar Flux has more distinct stars but looks a bit like pinholes with not as much variation. It's a toss-up for me. I guess I would choose which one is brighter.

    In the 50’s I owned a simple but relatively accurate room planetarium. It was round and had pinholes to project stars on the ceiling and walls. Is there anything in the market today that gives a realistic view of stars and constellations? I want to teach my great grandkids the stars but everything I’ve bought or seen available just projects stars in a seemingly random position with no attempt to depict true representation of star locations. Anyone have suggestions?

    the northern lights is nice... if it has controls to slow it down. that was so fast it would not feel relaxing. :)

    This was really helpful. I have been looking for ages, but the use of green stars with the projectors turns me off using them. And if I recall your previous videos - the realistic projectors tend to be louder. Might look at the northern lights as it looks interesting - but can the moon be turned off?

      @besthomeplanetarium  ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad you enjoyed it. Northern lights one is good, very different to the other and yes the Moon can be turned off. A more in depth look at that one is available th-cam.com/video/ahrx6MTESjA/w-d-xo.html

      That's not a projection, its just stock footage I used for the menu backgrounds because it looks a bit scifi

    Are you saying the Orzos and Pococo discs are compatible with each other? What about the LaView projector, have you tried that one as well?

    • @besthomeplanetarium
      @besthomeplanetarium  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes they use the same style discs. I've not tried that particular model, will check it out 👍

    Thanks for the video.
    I'm trying to find a good planetarium projector for my 10 year old child. She's just getting interested in stars and I would like her to be able to doze off to a night sky.
    The projectors with green lasers are in my opinion horrendous for a child's bedside. The colours are far too vivid and will be more of a hindrance. I would prefer the DS-1, Sega (original or flux) and orzorz. Budget wise I think I'll have to go for the Sega Original, the Orzorz or the Pococo (couldn't find any review of the last 2 on your channel).
    Which one would you recommend? Or better, can you maybe make a comparative review of those 3 please, taking into consideration the value for money and practical issues like the sound it makes (for a child's room), the need for constant power supply (I think orzorz just needs charging), the heat emitted from each, availability and variety of discs, ease of use, if any has adjustable brightness, timer options for when the child will sleep etc etc.
    Many thanks

      Hello, thanks for checking out my channel. The Orzorz and Pococo are very similar, they've the same controls and use the same discs. I compare the Pococo with the Flux in this vid: th-cam.com/video/myRt7Vud4Zc/w-d-xo.html
      In terms of your requirements, all three have auto off timers; I'd say the Orzorz/Pococo are quieter than the Flux and they offer a more affordable range of discs (see th-cam.com/video/mtA8k9oLEWc/w-d-xo.html).
      You can't adjust the brightness on these three, however if you use a Milky Way disc the room is very dark.
      So overall my suggestion would be the Orzorz or Pococo depending on which you like the look of.

    Hey, thanks for the quick demonstration ! Can you tell what's the real difference between a ds 1 and a ds skyview ? I know the ds skyview is shorter, compact, less powerful but does it works in a room ?
    The website demonstrates its use in a car, but i wanted to have your opinion since you used in the same area than the ds 1.
    Thank you for your answer !

      The size, price and projection are all very different between these two.

    Hi, thanks for the great reviews. I'm considering the encalife atmosphere vs the pococo setup. I know they are completely different tech but which is more realistic and enjoyable? Which covers a bigger space? Which bleeds less light in a room using the same scene? I'm looking to use it mostly in a living room but sometimes in a bedroom. Thanks. P.S. Also which is your favorite product under $100?

    • @besthomeplanetarium
      @besthomeplanetarium  ปีที่แล้ว

      Most realistic would be the Sega or Dark Skys options. I'd go with the Orzorz th-cam.com/video/HK37mvUwvMQ/w-d-xo.html
      You can see in the video they all do a good job of covering my ceiling space and the Sega have very little light bleeding, the room remains very dark with those on.

      The background or the text? The background is some footage I picked up years ago in a pack, I think part of the 5 day deal bundle. If I remember correctly the text motion GFX were from eldamar-studio.com/

    The ds1 looks sweet, except that is cost more than a full HD DLP projector and I wouldn't even be able to play games or watch cartoons on it SMH.

    Wouldn't be good, if you have a ceiling fan, directly in the centre of the room.
