WHY THE YAMAHA R7 IS THE BEST STARTER BIKE!
DISCLAIMERS:

A good thing to keep in mind is this. R7 is a street bike you can take to the track. R6 is a track bike you can take to the street. Know what you’re riding for and the r7 will be all you need! Stop lying to yourself that you need more power; unless you’re riding for clout and or you don’t like twins. Ride safe everyone. ❤️
Even though most people will never come close to maxing out r7 potential, you can't deny the 4 cylinder bikes are just way cooler. R6's sound alone will give you chills.
The R7 sounds bad 600s sound good there is no “starter” inline 4 bike and the zx4rr doesn’t count good luck finding that in a dealer
ZX4R 👀👀@@RiotSquad
@@WalrusWinking good luck finding one every dealer I’ve been to says it won’t even hit the showroom before it sells and I haven’t seen any on Facebook marketplace, might as well buy a 600
@@RiotSquad Starter bike?? 🤐🤐
I am a new rider. Came to it later than I wanted but always wanted to ride. My first bike is a gsxr600. Always wanted one but it’s way more than I can handle. The R7 is perfect for me.
How does the seat height compare between the 2? I was looking into the gsxr600 because the seat height is lower but the R7 seems more practical to me but it's taller.
thats where im having issues picking. my buddies have 400's ive ridden a few times. a ton of fun but the r7 looks wise is EXACTLY what i want but the 650 is really nice too
keep grinding bro love the vids💯
Just started whacing your videos and love it your videos are so good
The goat has uploaded 🙏🏾
When I first made the decision my first bike is going to be an R7 I didn't know it was a starter bike all it needs is a full exhaust and it's GUN!!
Recently gotten a Yamaha R7 its a really good bike but it doesnt rev as good as some other bikes but my personal opinion its a really good starter bike
Yes! Another bike vid 😊
love my mt07 upgrading to a mt09 next season
Planning on getting it beginning of next year I’m so hyped!
Who else been here since he had the cbr600?
Real one💙
Well i bought a Honda R500R because of the A2 license, and at first it was fun but after riding for like half a year It's kinda boring, so I'm gonna do an A license and buy an R7 instead of some 1000cc, because R7 looks like such a fun bike
@@zakky34xthere aren‘t a lot of good exhausts fpr europe though
@@Chief_Kyiv That's why i ordered the exhaust from US and now I hope i won't get a ticket for it (:
yuhhhhhh
Getting thus bike in 3 days!
Can't w8 can't go to sleep ahaha
Hope I'll love this bike
Tuck bro love the vids
Love you
I think imma stick with the mt07. I can’t find a good deal on an r7. I’d love too have the r7 but I’ll keep waiting too see if there’s a good deal.
I have a question. I’ve been seeing some videos of bikes and I feel like some of the bikes of the videos are slow or sleepy and other bikes like you are fast or waked up. Even when they’re the same bike.
I think it could be the exhaust.
love the bike 🤟🤟
I could agree on this being a great beginner bike. I started on the Honda cbr650r and they are practically the same thing. Honda I do believe is a bit faster but either way both bikes are great as starters. The 300 or 400 are just to damn slow, you'll want to upgrade within 3 months and be upset you spent all the money just to upgrade within the same riding season.
Not rly
I been thinking of getting a honda cbr650r as my first bike would you recommend it now that you’ve done it?
@@Abrahamfelix7 oh absolutely. The power is forgiving, yet quite good for a starting bike. You won't need to upgrade right away. She's pretty to look at. Comfortable, reliable, all around a great bike.
You have no idea wtf you're talking about.
yessir getting my bike in 5 months
Where did you get the gloves?
Thinking of getting my self one once I turn 18
Definitely should!
Gonna get my motorcycle endorsement around 17-18 then hopefully get the r7 its a perfect balance of smooth
@@imicchoni for a first bike ?
@@natekoro8594 yea but still debating tho
@@natekoro8594I got an R1M as my first bike at 19
what camera are u using ?
Bought R7 as my first bike last summer, now I want something bigger, going to sell it.
I feel like I know where this is at, definitely Florida. Just not sure of the city.
Genuine question, are you not scared to fall without gear?
R7 is the starter bike because the r7 is slower than R6 and this is why this bike is a starter bike in my opinion
Weighs less. More consistent power band.
What year is the bike ?
what helmet do you have
I got my license in June but all I’ve driven is a Harley, do you think I should still go for r7 because the r6 may be too much or is it kind of the same?
Depends on your driving situation if drive a lot of city with an R6 or any supersport, your body will get destroyed, your back, wrists and so on, but if you srive lots of highway and street cornering ways then wby not go for it, but remember an R6 is build to make speed and huge revs, around 10k rev it ride smooth, while the R7 is basically the same as a MT07 which drive good at around 3 a 4k revs
big big big fan herre.. i was curious on how big your thing is... please let me know.
show balls
what's the price of yamaha r7?
where the gloves from
Hey man im 15 going 16 next year and I'm looking at getting a bike but my perants are a bit on the fence about it I have a bit of time on a dirt bike now and will definitely get more soon I'm 6'0/6'1 I was looking at a r3 but now I'm considering a r7 because I'm wanting to ride a bit of track as well
a "starter bike" that goes 130 MPH is no starter bike, definitely a good second bike though if you have a couple years experience on a bike like a R3 or Ninja 300/400. the R7 is only 40 HP more than R3, compared to 600cc which is 100 HP more than R3 (in terms of power, that's like upgrading from a Toyota Camry to a 500 HP BMW M5)
How many cc's is it
I started on a cbr 1000 and I’m so glad I did, you gonna end up wasting so much money on small bikes, unless you plan on never getting a 1000, if you do just buy the 1000 and learn on it
i would love to have a r7 as a started bike but eu regulations :(
Rip
well you can. There's a A2 version. I plan on getting one after I get my licence :)
@@Hugo_clmt im turning 18 :(
@@darii1323 You need to be 16 to get the A1 and 18 for the A2 so you're good :) If you got the money that is hehe
@@Hugo_clmt nah man, in the netherlands you need to be 16 for scooter, 50cc. 18 for 125cc, 11kw. 20 for 600cc. unrestruicted is for 21 with 2 years of riding experience
You buy another r6 ? Thats cool bro
hi man! where did you get this licence plate fixation or how did you built it? thankss
go pro 12?
did she put a full system for the exhaust or just a slip on?
It’s a full system
would you recommend it to someone who has NO experience? like not even a dirt bike, i want to get a bike, looking at a ninja 400 would a R7 be too fast, heavy?
definitely go with the 400 it’s ganna be a lot more manageable
I think between these two go with what you feel like suits you better. I say if you have the money go R7. But if you want to stay cheap go 400. I had an mt07 and the motor is pretty fun. Sounds great too
@@popdatclutch3010thanks for the reply, i do have a pretty fast car so i feel like id grow out of a 400 pretty fast. i’m a great driver already so id be responsible enough to handle the power of the r7. I think you just changed my mind than. R7 it is once this snow is gone!
@@The1OneAndOnly128 Also, keep in mind R7 has better brakes and suspension, while also having bigger tires and an actual sporty riding position.
@@The1OneAndOnly128Keep in mind that cars and bikes are very different. Being a good driver won’t automatically make you a good rider, and driving a fast car doesn’t mean you can ride a fast bike. I agree r7’s are great starter bikes for SOME people, but driving a fast car shouldn’t be the reason you get one. Driving skill does not translate to riding skill. I recommend a ninja 400 or an r3 as a starter bike if you have zero riding experience. Getting comfortable on a used smaller bike and upgrading to a bigger one is worth it, you’ll learn the basics better without having to worry about power.

Idk where you finding these low prices for bikes but that state must be behind on inflation unless this video was made in 2020.😂
i think they shouldve made a r9 instead of an r7, thoughts?
Yup. R7 is way closer to the r3 than to the r6.
And for some reason we gonna get xsr900gp instead of r9
I ride a 2013 yz450f dirtbike and it’s rips absolutely crazier then anything Iv driven I just wanna know if can do the transition to a Yamaha r7 any comments guys?
Won’t have as much torque as the 450, but it’ll be a nice change up for you I definitely recommend
@@tucrr am I really able to just hop on a r7 and be able to like cruise test drive it?
@@RubensRamirez4.8 youll need a motorcycle license to do that, take an MSF course, cheap and super easy to do
boys cfmoto 450ss

or this bad boy
The R7 is also a bit expensive, and you can't find one older than 2022, the bike might be good for a beginner but if you're a beginner and you don't have that much money then why are you buying a bike that's almost new or actually new? You will drop it at some point and it will hurt you financially and emotionally, and when you get a new bike and you crash it for the first time, it won't feel the same after you repair it and make it look just like when it was brand new because now you know it's been dropped
Yea the sound would also irritate me after a bit. However the scenery is nice! 😅
I did not know that you guys also drive on the wrong side of the road 😊😊
Where's my pic.....
Yall makin me feel bad, I just got my first bike being an r3 2024

Best 1000cc Starter Bike*
I don’t think the R7 is a good starter bike at all.
I started on a 125cc and man I’m glad I did. making all your newb ass mistakes on a forgiving baby bike vs a 700cc is the difference between a “whoops that was close” and “I had to lay ‘er down” or ending up around the nearest tree.
when you’re learning to ride for the very first time, getting the muscle memory down, paying attention to what all of your limbs are doing, managing shifting, braking, throttle, indicators, plus looking at the traffic, road conditions, all that, you don’t really want to divide your attention further by also managing the power of a twitchy 700cc bike and risk fucking up with substantial consequences. you want a learner bike that won’t punish your inevitable mistakes, one that will ease you into getting used to riding a bike in general, one that even if you mess up on, you won’t hurt yourself or crash the bike. then, when you feel like you could handle more power, go and upgrade to a bigger one.
when I first sat on my R7, I almost shit myself how torque-y it feels vs the 125cc. I definitely wouldn’t have wanted to manage the bike’s power when still learning and actively paying attention to what all my body parts are supposed to do.
do yourself a favor, get the basics down on a smaller bike, then, when riding feels more automatic than manual, upgrade to a bigger one. by that time, you won’t have to actively pay attention to anything else when managing its power, so getting used to it will be a lot safer than if you had started on it and had to divide your attention 20 ways. yeah big bikes are cool and all, but riding has a very definite learning curve, and taking unnecessary risks by cutting corners with an already inherently dangerous activity isn’t exactly wise.
Completely agree mate. Here is Aus you can only ride up to 650cc (mt07, r7, cbr650r all come as a 'restricted' 47hp variant to comply with licensing rules), excluding the 600cc class as this has too much power. This is for your first two years riding.
I started on an r3 and ended up getting a cbr500 (got taken out by a car on the r3) and man am I glad the licensing rules are they way they are. No matter how good you think you are starting you'll come across little moments that could've ended worse given a bigger bike. As you mention they're perfect for honing all your skill that will 100% end up saving your life.
I'm now on a non-restricted mt07 or H0 over here which is the same 689cc as in states (compared to our 655cc lams version). Now no way should anyone start on this cp2 engine, unless you have quite a bit of previous riding experience. The torque makes it very unforgiving for people who have 0 riding experience and given it's want to always wheelie, it'd make for an awfully scary time.
Cannot believe I hear amercians talking about starting out on 600cc supersports, bloody ludicrous. R7 is not a starter bike!
yall are regulated to death. Do you get a citation if you tie your shoes the wrong way too? It's almost like you guys enjoy being stepped on@@DonBrissy
or if you're just not completely uncoordinated you can skip all that bs with 125s and 250s
Jesus loves you
@@DonBrissy im from USA and i too think it's ridiculous ppl starting on 600cc. i started on 50cc, 85cc, 125cc, 250cc, etc like everyone should. i am kinda with you, i think the R7 is not really first bike category, but definitely a good upgrade for anyone who's been on a 300cc for a few years. i've had my R3 for 5 years and still have no plan on getting rid of it, although i will add the R7 to my garage and keep the R3 too in the future
What's this teach new riders to go fast in a straight? Go 300/400 and learn fundamentals.
its not the best because barely anybody getting a first bike either cant afford one or wont be willing to spend that much.
bike is slow asff
100 % wrong again. First bike should be light dirt bike. Learn how to ridevaway from traffic not concrete it telephone poles. Learn to ride and fall in dirt, and diry bikes get droped crash flip and do not need hundreds or thousands to repair. I.learned in dirt with friends wecare in ourv60s and still ride.any buddies in high school started on street most crsshed got hurt soent big money and quit. The small few died due to panic in bad situation and not having the muscle memory.of yrs ridingnto avoid death. No street bike is best forst bike ever any where anytime. Best to learn skilks in dirt on light cheap esdybti ride dirt bike. Fell hundreds of times never ended up.in hospital, first street crash 2 yrs in cast 8 operations to save right leg, cause of old ladynin car that pulled out in front of me. My fault i forgetbrule one brother told about street riding, no one sees you. I forgot that for a second and paid price. I lived as i swerved with counter streer by instinct, 4 morebinches i.muss her. Had inbeen rookie probably hit full side of car and died at 18
