  • By natures design we have many different positions for sitting on the floor, what I like to refer to as ground living. These postures are applicable to work, rest and play and are superb for grounding us too. From an evolutionary perspective they are at the very core of our design as an upright bipedal human animal - firstly serving as developmental patterns to achieve biped status and later serve to injury proof what can be quite ( if neglected) vulnerable areas in our adult years.
Of course the ideal would be to never lose them, and to keep these bipedal rites of passage alive. But In our modern world, the chair and sofa have been embedded in what we consider the norm, and have momentarily acted as saboteurs of these wonderfully rich nutritious developmental movements.
I need more of this in my life, how do I learn more?
