The biggest mistake my son and I made was going to the track and seeing everyone look so busy and assume we would be bothering them. He and I vie for who is more shy, so we walked around and didn't speak to a soul. That led us down the wrong path, assuming we had a clue as to what we needed.
After wasting way too much money on the wrong stuff, we went back to the same track and finally spoke up. By the time we talked to the second group of folks, they pointed out a particular person...and within an hour, we had a kart, an engine, and a whole new family of people who have become close friends. Three years later, I can only regret not having this same advice you give here earlier.
Any newbies out there, listen to Ben! He knows of what he speaks!

Since you aren't making the trip to nationals this year (we aren't either) too far. Perhaps you could squeeze this one in. We'll definitely make sure you have a good time!!
Our biggest mistake was buying a brand of chassis that had close to zero online parts availability and no website. I hate having to call someone and ask for parts and hope you get what you need. I think if we started over again we'd go with Rage.
Yeh that’s tough. At least knowing where they source their components from would help.

I’ve never ran them so I can only go apon what people have said. And some really like them. Havnt heard anything negative off hand.
Good deal they trying to make things alittle cheaper.most tracks around here are bought up by burris..
