    Great video, Ryan! 1) Go to your local track, talk to everyone there! 2) Buy a nice used, and complete kart, make sure you can race it at your local track! 3) Go racing! The rest will come ;)

    What! No Rotax? Some of us are not in the US. Our big ones in Canada are Rotax, Rok and Briggs. This is good advice though. I just started Karting last year after transitioning from MX, my Masters aged body doesn't like getting so beat up anymore. I live off competition, I couldn't just quit racing. Luckily I found Karting, I love it!

    I'm a teen who wants to get into karting. I'll be paying for it myself. Are a suit, gloves, and rib protector really needed? I think I can handle bruises and such for karting, and I'd like to cut the cost for now- I'm using babysitting and birthday money, and loans from my parents. Do you have a video or more tips about actually buying a kart? I'm especially wondering about the different brands, and wether or not chassises correspond to the class (might be a dumb question). Also, the track I'd probably go to (Trackhouse/GoPro) is a bit far and I don't wanna ask my parents to drive me when I don't absolutely need to go. Your videos are super helpful and thorough- keep making more! :)

    Hey Ryan. Just watched your video that you posted about braking two years ago. Do you still do everything you said in the video? Everyone has always told me not to trail brake into corners. Do you have any advice on that. Thanks!

    • @NorbergNation
      @NorbergNation  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Yes I still do. When most people say trail braking they a referring to you braking harder as you get closer to the corner. What I explained is not that. You want to brake hard initially and progressively use less brake as you get closer to the apex.

    Hi Ryan, good video. But I have one question for you. Is it best to build my own go kart? I can't find any complete karts for sale, so I was wondering if it's best to build my own kart.

    • @NorbergNation
      @NorbergNation  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It depends on how much you are building. Buying a kart and engine separately and assembling them is normal to do in the sport.
