All the big studios in Nashville use some kind of auto tune a little bit. It makes the artist perform better in the booth and speeds up sessions. A lot of the time I’ve seen people use it on bass guitar to make sure the bass in fully in tune. It’s a tool. It’s not cheating, it’s not being lazy. Also the way he was using it in the beginning was more of a vocoder Sound.
Excellent Joe. I love your sense of humor. I will not use Melodyne or any other autotuning plugin for anything else than moving one or two notes half a tone though.

Loved the autotuned choir intro! :D I look for tutorials that specify Studio One "Artist" as I bought Artist and don't want to spend time watching how to use stuff I don't have.
So I bought mine last year or year before and I never got my studio one artist despite saying it came with it. And now I really can't record because the only thing that was available was the free version. I hooked up my speakers and interface but that was it. I know it's late to say this because I can't do anything since I already spent the money a while ago but just know that it doesn't work like that. The free edition is fine but I haven't been able to proper record. Just informing you about the issue of "recieving aritist edition" when I bought my package and did not get it. And thanks to this video I have figured out I actually can't do anything without Artist at least. Thank you.
I saw a guitar factory tour from the 1950s I think. The commentator said "they were manufacturing the electric guitars with such precision, you'd think they were actual musical instruments". Times they are a changing! I do think people should strive to not need autotune though. Should be a tool and not a crutch.

I'm just looking for an upgrade from Artist 3. I've seen good deals for artist 6 but from what I read, it doesn't allow 3rd party plug ins. I only really record stuff for fun, nothing professional, so would 5 be a better choice as I would like to use some 3rd party VSTs.
That PRESOOOOOOOOOONUS should be the opening sound when you power up Studio One. Kinda like how when you power up the Sega Genesis and the calssic SEGGAAAAAA happens.

Great intro! I is love Anteres auto even it’s a absolute cpu hog. I think I’m gonna have to switch to universal Audio and get a Apollo cause you cant hear auto tune in headphone mix while recording with presonus. Maybe I’m wrong but I can’t find a video showing how to do it and recently saw a video with someone saying this can only be done with a Apollo interfaces. 🤔help me out

Can we achieve the same results with Melodyne wich is included with pro? Wich is not the case for autotune!
Melodyne does not do any of the realtime pitch correction and effects as seen in Joe's demos. Melodyne is a graphic editor only.
