I used to have "Lunch With Soupy" every day when I was in elementary school back in Detroit...probably back in the early 50's. I loved Whitefang and Blacktooth, his "words of wisdom, etc. Ahhh, the memories.
I lived in Detroit in the 50s and never missed Lunch with Soupy. Then, coincidentally, my family moved to New Jersey at the same time, Soupy moved to New York, so I was able to see him at the Paramount theater circa 1965. I miss Soupy to this day. But I must say the funniest part of this interview came from Robert Klein with the quip “.. pies coming out of howitzers…”
The Soupy Sales Show was watched every week with my mom and dad and sisters. Great fun, great laughs and family time. Thank you Soupy!
Soupy...the funniest comedian of all time...

Just began watching him again with my husband. One of my comic heroes, he and Pookie still elicit Pookie ear-to-ear grins on us!
*Two Mount Olympus geniuses right here ....*
🙂👍🏻♥️
God love the man! WXYZ, Michigan, 1958!
Thank you so much for this. I lived for this guy at age 8 on east coast and then again in CA when about 18. Thanks again.
I love soupy!
Tks for this clip....Soupy was a comic gem...

Soupy was my first celebrity crush when I was 8.
That is a good question. I would even like to hear just the audio. I doubt it exists since I think the show was live and that was about 1965.
He reminds me of David Lee Roth
This talk show aired in the mid 80s on USA Network.
Two brilliant comedic modesties (is modesty a actually word?).
