The “B” setting doesn’t increase efficiency. It merely provides more engine and motor braking for long downhill sections, and actually uses more fuel. Also, there’s no belt-driven CVT. There’s no transmission at all, just a planetary gearbox linking the engine and the two motors.

@berhaneyohannes7095 you can get lucky when someone trades in theirs at a dealer ship. Theres a lot of uber ridden ones but if lu ky a non uber prius will be 16-22k usd

It's a mish mash half gearted generation. Main drawbacks was that there were not enough Plug-in hybrids sooner!

Just got the exact same spec and color. 90k miles, used by some old person, immaculate inside and out. I love it. The ~51 mpg helps too haha.
