  • In 1989, Reading based band Feverfew were invited to take part in a talent show on the newly launched Sky Channel called Sky Star Search. This is the footage of that show in which the band perform and chat to the judges and host afterwards. Two years later the band splintered and from its ashes formed The Rileys and Blueboy who both went on to further success in their own right.

    This. Is. Priceless. Thank you for uploading. The judge with the bad leather jacket and tie, goodness. Was that even fashionable in 1989!What was the line up of the band for this performance.

      L-R Electric guitar: Paul Stewart, Vocals: Keith Girdler, Drums: Lloyd Haggar, Acoustic Guitar: Lee Haggar (Lloyd's brother), Vocals: Victoria Gerring, Bass: Phil Ball. Phil and Victoria went on to form The Rileys, Paul, Lloyd and Keith went on to form Blueboy.

    Makes me think of Everything But The Girl (the early LPs) - Wish I'd heard this band at the time - they should have been signed to GoDisc - could have toured with The Housemartins and Trash Can Sinatras! Cheers
