Official TH-cam channel of British indie band Blueboy from the legendary Sarah Records and Shinkansen labels. After setting out as a duo of Keith Girdler (vocals) and Paul Stewart (guitar) from Reading, Gemma Townley (vocals, piano, cello), Mark Cousens (bass), Lloyd Haggar (drums) and Harvey Williams (guitar, vocals) were recruited. In all, three albums and eight singles were released as well as a John Peel session for Radio One from 1991 - 1998. After the last release the band split to pursue other projects including Trembling Blue Stars, Arabesque and Beaumont. This channel includes archive material (including previous and associated bands like Feverfew) , live recordings, unreleased mixes and new material including Paul's new work under the SepiaSound moniker.

1993年の大阪、この日のライブ会場に居ました。 これが私の生涯のベストライブです。 Gemmaのチェロの響きが心地良くて、Harveyの黒のリッケンバッカーが格好良くて。 Paulのギターもリズム隊も、まさにこの日の為に練習してきた！とばかりに気合いが入っていました。 そしてKeithの歌声は、例えようもない程美しかった。ずっと空中の１点を見つめながら。 「この人は魂で歌っている」と思いました。 レコードの音源なんかよりずっと、遙かに素晴らしいライブでした。 会場でif wishes were horsesのCDを買って、ソノシートとメンバーのサイン色紙を貰ったので、それはもう20年くらい？ずっと部屋に飾っていました。 Blueboyのレコードは、後になるほど好きじゃなくなってしまったけど…ずっと買い続けていましたね。 ジョアン・ジルベルトの70年代のソロのような、天国で鳴っているのは多分こんな音楽だと PaulとKeithはいつかそういう境地に達してくれると 信じていたんですけどね。

Hey Paul, I love this. I am actually learning classical guitar, and I would really love to learn some of your songs. Do you have tablature or notes anywhere that I can reference? I’m very new to music and learning by ear is still hard. I learned the first three notes of Too Good to be True and don’t know where to go from there. Thanks! Fav band of all time!
