Ever since I was young, whenever I heard dermatologist tested I just imagined like a slumber party full of dermatologists testing a whole bunch of products on each other.
Yup. Full coverage foundations require finding an exact match but for bb creams/skin tints, 1 tint usually works for a few diff shades, give or take, lighter or darker
It depends on the actual shades. If it's 20 shades of just light then, no, it's not inclusive. If it's evenly distributed among all shade categories then yea, it's fine.
Danni Monroe honestly they’re not that expensive it’s just shitty you can’t buy them in person & have to pay for shipping every time unless you live in like LA

But that said... we actually killed it in the early 2000's simply bc we didnt have TH-cam, we literally had our moms clinique compact foundation that we stole from her and blush or bronzer as contour, no lashes and the little sponge tipped eyeshadow "brushes"!
Also the freebies that came with purchase of any mom purchase of Estée Lauder or Lancôme skincare. I always swiped my mom’s freebie mascara and lip gloss.
Thank you Kristi for reminding us of realistic expectations for product claims. It's like nikkitutorials or Jaclyn hill reviewing a medium or sheer foundation and being disappointed with it's lack of coverage (then using a bucket of high coverage concealer to finish the review happy). We love real expectations and real discussions about product claims.
“If you’re young and trying to get ready quickly for school” lol, 25 and using the same sponge for foundation, bronzer, blush, concealer, and highlight 😂
Andrew Aguayo lmao, there’s different sides of the sponge, and not everyone likes using brushes. They personally make makeup look dry and cakey on my skin. And not that you need to know, but I wash my sponge every night, so I go through a lot of them. Try not to judge people you don’t know sweetie ❤️
Hallie Glass yea but this was just kind of meh. It’s not like we haven’t already seen this type of style in cosmetics most recently with milk and glossier the only difference is it came from a 15 year old this time.
Aspyn M. Yes, but this is something that really appeals to me since it has that very light coverage and natural look, but has very reasonable price points. Glossier is a bit expensive for a teenage boy to afford comfortably, but I could buy this pretty easy and still have a product I enjoy.
Those Sad Bois glossier’s foundation/skin tint however you want to label it is literally only $8 more soooooo again meh. I think the biggest difference is you can pick it up anytime at an Ulta store vs online shopping but if you like it then cool I like my nars foundation doesn’t mean everyone else does
Aspyn M. Convenience is also a factor yes, but almost 10 dollars every time I want to pick one up really does start to make a difference over a few months. A couple bucks does make a difference to me, but if you prefer Glossier then it’s definitely worth a few dollars. As long as everyone’s happy with what they get I think both products are great.
Call me crasy... but I think a natural skin look with sun spots etc showing through is beautiful on you. Your videos are so interesting. I love the tips you throw in all the time.
Everyone needs to remember that this is targeted towards teenagers. So it's not gonna be a brand for cake faces. It more of "slap on the face gotta get to school" not 3 hours of eyeshadow.
@@LightingInvoker I wrote this comment before she said that, sorry. I'm glad she mentioned it in the video though and didn't go into it expecting Hollywood glam.
as a high school student, i find that if you don’t want to use your fingers you can use a stippling brush. it’s really fast and good at sheering out higher coverage foundations, and if you use other creams you can use it for that too.
Does anyone else have that thing, where cheap and/or low-coverage foundation just immediately sinks into the pores on your nose but doesn't stick anywhere else, so you're just left with little flesh-colored polka dots all over your nose? Anybody? Just me?
Yes and I have a perfect skincare routine! I use L’Oréal infallible and Clinique double face pressed on to really set it. Heavy but heavy duty. This is the combo I have come up with after years of trying everything for this problem.
I struggled so much with this! Either the foundation sunk into my pores or my sebum would "pop" out of the pores (such an ugly look). What I found works best it to start with skincare. At night I use Paula's Choice 2% chemical exfoliant on the areas where I have visible pores and follow with a hydrating serum and rich moisturizer. In the mornings, I use my heritage rosewater toner, moisturize and put on sunscreen. After the products are absorbed, I put a thin-ish layer of my elf putty primer over my pores and let it dry down. After i put on my foundation, I set it with a tiny bit of loose setting powder and voila! Pore size looks automatically smaller!
I feel like 20 shades is pretty fine for a skin tint. Because the coverage is so light, it should be able to blend across more skin tones than a full foundation. And looking at the website, the shade range seems pretty inclusive from dark to light
Can we just all agree how underrated Kristi is? I’m looking at the nominees for the People’s Choice Awards, and I’m sad dude... where’s my girl, Kristi? You get my vote everyday girl. Love you 💜
I know the whole fresh/light coverage/barely there look isn’t usually your cup of tea but I love how it looks on you! It looks so fresh and pretty (at least on camera)
I actually appreciate the fact that this is so light weight and natural. I think its important for young girls to be comfortable in their own skin amd confident without having to cover up every blemish and zit that pops up. My mom limited what makeup I could wear until about 11th grade, and Im very grateful for that. While I did get too cake faced throughout 11th-12th grade, right after I graduated I was so comfortable in my own skin and to this day I eithwr go makeup free or for very sheer natural makeup. I love what Millie has done with her line
I've been so excited for someone to review this makeup brand, it gets reviewed by one of my favorite youtubers and less than a minute in there is a Jenna Marbles reference. Everything I need in a TH-cam video.
omg thank you so much for actually reviewing these products for what they are! a huge beauty pet peeve of mine is when people negatively review products that are NOT meant to be high coverage solely because they're not... high coverage (or just generally give products a poor review solely bc they're not ideal for their skin type/concerns)
Yeah thats a pet peeve of mine too, saying foundation sucks because its not full coverage. I'm sure im guilty of that in the past, i'm trying to be more realistic with what they claim the foundations ARE vs what I WANT them to be
This is so kind of you to say!! Trust me.. its a COMMITMENT. I do not regret them so far at ALL *i like how they frame my face* but they get greasy af lmfao
I feel bushy brows really depends on the face but on her it looks good as she has a full and round face. It balances her features. Or makes them stand out more.

Thanks, love you.
I love super light-coverage foundations. My skin is kinda crappy but I still love seeing it through my base. I like this keep my face very natural looking so most of the focus is on my eyes, which I usually do winged-liner on.
I really liked the way this foundation looked on your skin. I even think it’s the best color match for you that I’ve ever seen on your channel honestly ☺️
Although this is branded towards younger girls, and here I am literally turning 29 tomorrow, I would buy these products! I like a light coverage, especially a skin tint. For daily use foundation that's more than light coverage is just too much for me. And I love a basic, natural, light look for work. I also love a quick and simple application. This first impressions has truly been helpful for me!
Caitlin Hansch I feel like this should have been targeted towards older women? Teenagers maybe shouldn’t have more coverage but they are known to have more acne, red spots, etc etc. so they would need more coverage, whereas older women between 30s and 50s would have less acne and hormonal skin issues and even left diet and environmental issues because they have learned how to take care of their skin, so I feel this should/could have been targeted towards women who could have used this.
Kristi you looked gorgeous at the end I think you look so pretty with the bold brows and light makeup! You’re so pretty naturally and it enhanced your natural beauty!
Omg when you said "cover up" I had nightmarish flashbacks of middle school. Except i only used a covergirl pressed powder with the puff because I didn't know foundation existed. Lmao I am 28 and once I found out what foundation was I used my hands to put it on until I was around 15 or 16.
One thing I do wish beauty people would understand products saying they’re skin tints are not supposed to be full or even close to medium coverage. They’re only supposed to block some redness coming through.
i love how light it all is, kids prefer light makeup, the whole caked on thing is very ig and not a great look on everyone. im with you on the super dark brow product, i recently got something similar and it looked like a sharpie rip.
I love how you do an honest review and do not bash (not really) or do not say that they don't like it. It really makes me annoying when other people say that they don't like it because it doesn't have coverage, well Millie did the makeup to see your natural beauty with light makeup . I really like how you did it 💖
I love this tutorial. I love MBB and I think her like gears towards a younger crowd and nailed it. Also there are a ton of women who wear natural makeup or no makeup at all and this is perfect. I think there should be more natural makeup lines to accent women and men’s natural beauty. Great vid RawBeautyKristi!!
I’m so amazed by your opinions and how open minded you are- the beauty community sometimes gets to caught up with the “full coverage” look. I love how you can understand that all products are aimed and different people for different purposes and meanings. Always value your first impressions ❤️
Absolutely love you showing that even TH-camrs struggle with finding their correct shades, and figuring out how to correctly apply some products. I used to think I had those issues because I sucked (LOL) and this is so relatable and we love you for it!!!!!
@@sabbessonart5998 Basically, she made a video for her IG "using her skincare products" and it appears in the video that she is just pretending to use them. Never showing her actually "washing her face" everything looks the same throughout, you can't see shine back of the products, you can't see any lather or change when using them. I am not saying she *Didn't* use them, because her face wash is a sulfate free or something so it doesn't lather much anyways, but people are speculating that its fake and she was just rubbing her face with dry hands over and over because you never actually see her apply real product.

But that said... we actually killed it in the early 2000's simply bc we didnt have TH-cam, we literally had our moms clinique compact foundation that we stole from her and blush or bronzer as contour, no lashes and the little sponge tipped eyeshadow "brushes"!
Don’t forget those Dr Pepper lipsmackers!!!
Also the freebies that came with purchase of any mom purchase of Estée Lauder or Lancôme skincare. I always swiped my mom’s freebie mascara and lip gloss.
@@angelagenx6629 oh hell yea! Those were staples!
@@RedHedyLamarr Haha how could that be forgotten! Those lip snackers were my jam in middle school with my Jnco Jean's 😅🤦🏼♀️
Clinique? Ooh fancy! 😉 I had Revlon, maybelline and Rimmel to choose from.
Rachael Jackson oh god I feel this comment
🤢🤢🤢 is it that hard to get a brush set that covers all those bases? I hope you change your sponge often then
Andrew Aguayo lmao, there’s different sides of the sponge, and not everyone likes using brushes. They personally make makeup look dry and cakey on my skin. And not that you need to know, but I wash my sponge every night, so I go through a lot of them. Try not to judge people you don’t know sweetie ❤️
A sponge works well by itself when I’m travelling and I’m a makeup artist with well over a hundred brushes. I don’t understand how it’s so funny.
I’m 18 and I used to wear makeup every day id. Slather mascara on and eyeliner thick.
Kristi, this makeup makes you look like a 9th grader who is overly excited for her turn to be the crossing guard. You are so sweet.
The only celebrity makeup brand I’m impressed with is Rihanna
Well I mean since this is for kids I’m pretty impressed
I love the tips you throw in all the time.
she looked so youthful and healthy with this natural look, i loved it on her but of course all looks look great on her
Crazy*
Everyone needs to remember that this is targeted towards teenagers. So it's not gonna be a brand for cake faces. It more of "slap on the face gotta get to school" not 3 hours of eyeshadow.
Pretty much what Kristi said
@@LightingInvoker I wrote this comment before she said that, sorry. I'm glad she mentioned it in the video though and didn't go into it expecting Hollywood glam.
@@saccharineisnothoney I agree, she was pretty fair! I also think it looks pretty good on her too
thats good tbh kids shouldnt be wearing layers of foundation imo '-'
@@nannybells true, I don't believe they need to, but I also believe they can make their own choices ^.^
I wish I had products like this WAY back when I was in high school
Products like this is available in every brand... use a lipstick as blush etc.. u can get same result with any brand/product.. just use less
as a high school student, i find that if you don’t want to use your fingers you can use a stippling brush. it’s really fast and good at sheering out higher coverage foundations, and if you use other creams you can use it for that too.
Does anyone else have that thing, where cheap and/or low-coverage foundation just immediately sinks into the pores on your nose but doesn't stick anywhere else, so you're just left with little flesh-colored polka dots all over your nose? Anybody? Just me?
I have this, but not with all foundations. They aren't cheap or low coverage, but Becca Ultimate 24h and Nars All day do exactly this. So weird!
Colleen Raymond Check your moisturizer and primer combo!!! Trust me, 9/10 it’s an oil/water mix
Same. That’s why I don’t even bother with makeup at all, except mascara once in a while.
Artificial rose scents remind me of my great grandma's potpourri she used in her bathroom.
Can we just all agree how underrated Kristi is? I’m looking at the nominees for the People’s Choice Awards, and I’m sad dude... where’s my girl, Kristi? You get my vote everyday girl. Love you 💜
I love that you turn off the lights.
Lola D that’s what she said
I cannot stand full coverage on my face so I wear tinted moisturizer & even that feels heavy on my face. I rock my old lady sun spots & freckles.
THE JENNA MARBLES CLIP MADE ME LEGITIMATELY INHALE WATER I WAS DRINKING
I know the whole fresh/light coverage/barely there look isn’t usually your cup of tea but I love how it looks on you! It looks so fresh and pretty (at least on camera)
can we get a compilation video of all of kristi's bloopers? id probably watch it every day
Autumn Rose yesssss! @Zack, get on it! (Please👍🏼😬)
Yes. Same. 👏
YES OMG!! 👏🙏
Omg I would totally watch every day all day! I also want a video of her talking in her voice how she talks to her cats.. it’s sooooo cute
Absolutely! Maybe collect them and a do a big ass video every month. Tysm
This seriously makes you look soooo young! I like how this turned out.
Honestly, you look so fresh here. This line is perfect for teens that don’t want/aren’t allowed to wear more.
I love a beat face but sometimes light makeup is the move!
I agree!!
RawBeautyKristi ❤️
I've been so excited for someone to review this makeup brand, it gets reviewed by one of my favorite youtubers and less than a minute in there is a Jenna Marbles reference. Everything I need in a TH-cam video.
No one:
Absolutely no one:

Kristi: A T R O C I O U S
that "I SWEAR!" at 16:11 sounded just like a cat screaming omg I'm crying. I love you Kristi!!
omg thank you so much for actually reviewing these products for what they are! a huge beauty pet peeve of mine is when people negatively review products that are NOT meant to be high coverage solely because they're not... high coverage (or just generally give products a poor review solely bc they're not ideal for their skin type/concerns)
Yeah thats a pet peeve of mine too, saying foundation sucks because its not full coverage. I'm sure im guilty of that in the past, i'm trying to be more realistic with what they claim the foundations ARE vs what I WANT them to be
I think the blush is getting more pink is that possible?
Does anyone else think the bangs make her look so much younger! You make me want bangs, but I’m not stable enough to make that decision 😂😂😂
This is so kind of you to say!! Trust me.. its a COMMITMENT. I do not regret them so far at ALL *i like how they frame my face* but they get greasy af lmfao
I’ve had bangs for so long, I wish I could grow them out sometimes but when I’ve tried my face looked WEIRD 😂
I love the bangs!!
And the are useful for covering up painful burns 😅
I recently got bangs too for that reason. Same age as Kristi lol.
I actually really love those bold bushy brows on you.. just me? Ok.
I love it too. I have no brows...
No I love it too! But I love. Bold brow. C'est dramatique
I feel bushy brows really depends on the face but on her it looks good as she has a full and round face. It balances her features. Or makes them stand out more.
I swear that tint blurred your skin instantly? Maybe it's just my eyes though
No, I thought it looked really blurring as well!
it’s the lights and camera
Jennie Wright totally did
It’s the ring light, when she dimmed the lights you could see what she was talking about
Yes I love the 32 year old lady can’t wait to sing 33 with her lol!
PLEASE do a look using Kathleen's So Jaded palette with colourpop!!!!
Ali Dorazio a 3 look video?!?!
Yes please ❤️
I actually love darker brows on you!
I love how you‘re not immediately criticizing, but keep the target demographic for the line in mind and base your review on that 🤗 thank you!
I didn’t think the brows looked that bad? It matches your roots
Honestly Kristi, you bring me so much joy! I just needed to let you know that. You are always such a wonderful part of my day whenever you upload, and regardless of the content I just love watching your videos! You are such an inspiration to me for healthy growth and confidence, and I cannot thank you enough for everything you have put into your videos and the content you create, it has helped me be a better me, for me.
also, tbh you have definitely encouraged a LOVE for makeup and photography that I didn't know I had ;)

I love super light-coverage foundations. My skin is kinda crappy but I still love seeing it through my base. I like this keep my face very natural looking so most of the focus is on my eyes, which I usually do winged-liner on.
for a 15 year olds brand, im very impressed. this is clearly targetting her age group which is a great thing.
Caitlin Hansch happy birthday 🎂
@@kellykendall8572 thank you! 💕
We have the same birthday. Happy Belated 🥳
@@damndestiny happy belated birthday to you, too! 💕
I have a kind of middle school crush on you. Your personality is so chill & you look so pretty 😍
Anne Wong-Mison omg me tooooo
I love when you dim the lights in your videos so we can actually see how products look on the skin. Much love Kristi!
The final look is so fresh and cute for everyday! I do agree, that brow gel was...rough. I've never liked brow gel tbh.
Unrelated but will you ever collab with Jenna Marbles? Please say yes.
Uhhh if she would ever want to i would die of happiness of course!! YES

Lmao
I am 28 and once I found out what foundation was I used my hands to put it on until I was around 15 or 16.
I’m not your real dad but girl keep slaying the game
I really like how you did it 💖
I love how realistic and honest you are when talking about beauty lights and how deceiving they can be!
The fact that your nose hates makeup too makes me feel connected to you 💙 lol
I love this tutorial. I love MBB and I think her like gears towards a younger crowd and nailed it. Also there are a ton of women who wear natural makeup or no makeup at all and this is perfect. I think there should be more natural makeup lines to accent women and men’s natural beauty. Great vid RawBeautyKristi!!
I saw the crimp as soon as the video started and was dying because I saw you’re IG story😂😂😂

Who else used to put hair spray on their face for setting spray when they were a teen before setting spray was a thing 😂😂
Shaa Xo I still use hairspray because, in my experience, setting spray is a big scam 🤷🏼♀️ It's just water you spray on your face
Versana Snow the only thing I’ve found that works is the nyx dewy setting spray. That stuff makes it so it does not budge even in heat

What happened? Someone fill me in
@@sabbessonart5998 Basically, she made a video for her IG "using her skincare products" and it appears in the video that she is just pretending to use them.
You look so beautiful. Great for "no makeup" days. Definitely interested for everyday, quick makeup. Appreciate that the line is vegan and cruelty free so I don't have to think about which items I can buy.
