The ‘sell a 2/2 to buy a 1/1 that immediately dies in the shop with no effect so you could run a 4 squad for the cost of 2 extra gold’ play was absolutely galaxy brain.

Biggest thing he needs to learn about this pack is you absolutely can’t sell a 10/15 unit round 9 unlike the other ones

Bro he's not seen the guinea pig yet, it summons TWO animals for the price of ONE which if you make them both 50/50, makes for a total of 100/100 STATS, MORE THAN ANY OTHER ANIMAL BECAUSE THEY CAP AT 50/50!!!

It truly kills me to see that he places the hawk in 2nd position every single time only to see it not attack because the other team had a panda there.
You could do so much! Move it to the back, have it kill the vultures! Or move it to the front, no one puts pandas in the front
No one puts panda in the corner!
Moving it to the front makes the most sense to be because you will hurt what could be their most powerful animal that the panda just buffed
These strats make bacta plays look good.
With the rarity of lvl ups and the upper limit (unless you're cycling lvl 2's like a lunatic) the jellyfish needs a buff
I mean it’s a tier 2 so it’s not meant to be an amazing scaler… Not that rare to have 2 levels up by round 4 and all of sudden it’s a 4/5 which is tier 3 stats with no drawback

@@Philgob that's pretty terrible. you have to arrange level ups and buffs to suit a 4/5 at best lol. it is a t2 so I agree it's not supposed to be fantastic, but it's pretty bad right now in comparison.
pandas, kiwis, and humming birds are t1 and have arguably better skills.
6 gold for +1+1 is just bad, even if you were meaning to upgrade the animal(s) anyways

Jellyfish is the absolute worst unit in its tier. Level ups are so scarce in this pack due to the lack of chocolate that it rarely ever gets sufficient statistical buffs.
Do in-round level ups give it permanent buffs?

@@TheRealHungryHobo no other animals that get buffs from in battle (ie koala) triggers maintain that buff after the fight so idk why jellyfish would when it has no special text. So the answer is, probably not.
Lack of chocolate as well as having so many animals making getting the same animal again less probable

I like the variety of the new pack, but it feels like you end up with less options. Unless you pick some specific units, you've got no chance

Well it's pretty good balance since some units are REALLY good but other units can be better with a good synergy.
Thats my problem with the pack. Lots of cool options, but all of them are just outclassed by one or two things so they might as well not exist

Hey NL have you considered buying the broccoli or prawn before buying a 2nd copy of a pet in order to get +5/+1 on any unit that has base hp or the same for attack

It's stats were never really relevant, and you're not going to be wanting to swap stats much earlier than round 9 anyway. It was a slight nerf, but not much
@@derrekgillespie413 It got changed again where it's a rank 1 with 3/1 and now has a "Start of Battle:" proc on it's effect instead. I'd argue that's a huge nerf.

Edit: I’m saying that where other pets would get a 1-1 cockroach would get a 0-2

if hurt by the enemy team, but survives , keeps damage taken as extra health next round. ~ still resets attack to 1
If cockroach has food it should summon 2 other "cockroach baby" 1/2s when it dies

I think with how big this pack is, you really have to consider when to roll heavy to hit important units for your squad synergy. Once you get outside of that window if you don’t hit it I think you need to look to pivot more.
I can’t wait for him to delve into the custom packs and see all the other animals in there
NL buying a tier 1 pet that only gives his unit a 1/1 buff, while food exists, is insulting to the food tbh
Not leveling up units on odd turns just because he's not keeping them gets the blood pressure raising
I think orangutan is an under appreciated unit so far in this pack. As long as you have another unit that can buff itself.
It gets your weak “throw away” units to a point they can at least win/draw head to heads
A +1/+2 on a throwaway unit isn't gonna matter in battle. IMO orangutan is only good when you have no throwaway units, so you can actually keep the +1/+2s instead of selling them

Eh. His sap skill is not declining. Watch again the first couple weeks when the game just came out. He was terrible then too. Egg just takes a little time to get going, but when he does, he's meta-defining.
Playing pack 3 SAP is like drafting a core set in MTG after drafting modern horizons.
The number of times NL will keep an animal frozen, forget about it, and unfreeze it on the next turn annoys me so much

Imagine an animal that would permanently give experience to a friend ahead at start of each turn, but also give it -6/-6 / -4/-4 / -2/-2 in addition to the default +1/+1, to offset the ability.

The way he says strawberry bothers me only bc I know that he knows he says it differently than normal
IMO they should experiment with having the HP system get reduced by how many remaining pets your enemy had. That way the guaranteed loss is always just 1 so if you have a super close game and get beat by a honey bee, you only lose 1. But if you're being wild and running a 3 squad pivot and get destroyed you could lose 4 hp. It just always bothers me that I can lose a game in turn 15 by 1 pet and the icon shows me the 1 pet I lose by and two empty chess pieces.

Early game is garbage tbh, I usually just heavy stack 1 unit with strawberry kiwis (buy sell) and hummingbirds, wins a good amount till like turn 6 then I can pivot into anything.
