Have you ever got stuck in the snow?
Offcourse i was few times, its rwd so its easy to get stuck, but proper tires and thinking about it few steps ahead helps a lot

My 2012 528xi seems way more stable on snowy roads than yours...... Weird? Your tires bald?
I think x simbol in your model says it all, why its more stable. Xdrive is barelly comparable with RWD (witch is mine). Also stability control OFF adds
