that headfirst is a beast of an amp. great video btw. I believe a boost pedal can benefit any high gain amp. Sure an amp may go into super searing territory but as you do that tubes will sag and the eq curve can change. The boost pedal allows you to lower the gain knob on your amp, which gives you better note seperation, headroom and less compression, it can boost volume, boost gain, tighten up the amp with an eq curve and get rid of low end rumble...all with the push of a button. The tone is completely different and is not attainable without a boost. most plexis and 800s get boosted. Why am I telling you this? I'm sure you already know.
@@slomo7070Alta given its Marshall linage... but the JP is gr8 here too scooped yes but very percussive and lots of high mids... infinitely tweakable either amp

Ahh in a general sense maybe yes theres more lows available... the Alta is every bit as authoritive though
