Awesome review. Some of the comments you are making about rum finishes is relevant in regards to a recent release I’ve been sipping, the Wild Turkey Master’s Keep Voyage. I think the rum finish, although fairly short, imparted quite a bit of aged character in my opinion. I don’t believe I’ve ever had a single malt finished in rum.

Rum cask aging has always been a bit tricky for me, I believe Dustin has a similar take... It's funky sweet sometimes.

I don't remember if I tried this one, probably not, because on the parisian show Springbank presents its novelties each year, the stand is assailed all day so it is hard to approach it & you can barely try every expressions & the 25 yo is under the table or just not present...Sherry & Rum might not be my fav combination, I prefer Bourbon & Rum if Rum is there, but you'll never know...Cheers ! besides, you're quoted in my latest video, scoring habits wise, about the Ardbeg "Almost There" wise (have you tried it already ?) score I gave myself, just a wink, mind you...
