Honestly this is great, creative, funny etc but its like 90% of the way there to being a usable serious first person UI for wow, I'm shocked at how well it plays
Now this is a proper addon. Not like these cheat ones that tell you when your spells are ready or when bosses are gonna do stuff.
So clean for something made in weakauras, nice work

The cool thing is that, even though these images are not from wow, they fit very well, i must say :)
I mean who's to say that gnomes and goblins can't make a gun that allows mages to channel their spells through it, it can actually be a thing when you think about it.
Now all you need is the VorpX plugin and a VR headset and you can play it in VR.

WoW would be awesome if it were an actual RPG with dialogue options, voice acting, and combat like this.
The idea is very interesting, but somehow the combat itself doesn't feel right with the WoW's combat actually works.
You can still see how you have to target the enemies in order to attack them, so for this idea to actually work the combat would need a complete overhaul to suit 1st person combat.
But the idea is awesome. Warcraft combined with Elder Scrolls playstyle...ufff. I want that in my life !
World of Warcraft is already 20+ years old, so I'd say its about damn time for Blizzard to do something different with the IP, even if its just a spin-off game.
Current WoW has "action targeting" which is, under the hood, basically how most games operate. WoW by default just makes you manually choose a target, and the mouselook -- where you use the mouse to turn a character -- is turned off by default, making you hold the right mouse button to enable it. But even the newest Spider-Man games, where mouselook is the default and you never really use a mouse cursor to click anything on screen, have to have code for "choosing a target", they just don't make you manually click it, don't highlight the target with a circle underneath, and don't make the name appear over the model. So, the problem isn't that WoW combat needs a "complete overhaul" -- all the required systems have always been there -- the problem is just removing UI elements and making it mouselook enabled by default. Even back in 1999, in System Shock 2, game devs already knew how to switch mouselook on/off based on the situation -- you would not be able to turn the character when the inventory was open, but would turn freely when the inventory was closed. System Shock 2 (and Deus Ex as well) even highlighted the target and showed you its name, just like in WoW, only they used square brackets to highlight the target. WoW just doesn't have that, for some reason. I would love it if, by default, I didn't need to hold RMB to turn my character and the little glove-cursor would only appear during NPC interactions, like vendoring items, or opening a map, or accepting quests.
@@jordick8427 There's a mod called Combat Mode that turns the cursor into a crosshair and lets you aim at mobs like a shooter game. I use it when I test these weakauras, you might really like it 😀

Why does the modding community make things way better than the actual game devs. This looks awesome i would play this version of WoW asap! (Game Devs be slacking!)
Im sure this isn’t a real working game but shoot it looks better then what blizzard could do atm.
Is always like that if you give gamers some tools in the game, that's why a lot of games were created in Warcraft 3 custom mode

I really want a Warcraft hat retcons Wow Lore back. WoD Timetravel BS, Shadowlands and its atrocious, disappointing take on the hereafter and the countless disgusting lore implications, i love Warcraft, but i hate what Wow made out of it. I so so so much wish for Shadowlands to be retconned, the hereafter was something that always should have stayed in muddy waters.
I don't know, I like games where I can play in first person like Skyrim and Halo for example, but for some reason WoW like this gives me a headache
