Thank you so much for posting Pastor Brooks sermons. I accepted the Lord and came into the church back in the 1980's. This is the kind of sermons that captivated me. Thanks again.

After feeling a complete failure to what God expected of me, in my weakness i felt completely useless as if i wasn't good enough..i cried out in agonizing voice confessing my unworthiness..within 2hrs of talking with God; for some reason i got on my phone and started to surf the Internet... pastor Cd Brooks poped up, and the message he preached was definitely without a doubt an answer to my prayer ....for a moment i felt totally lost, but my God confirm that early morning about 2am that though my sins be as scarlet they shall be white as snow. thank God for assurance and answered prayer...

Keep strong. Dont forget that despite the evil in this world, God is full of justice, mercy and love.
Justice said we broke His perfect law - causing the world's previous perfection to be destroyed - and therefore we deserve Hell (like a punishment in any legal system but this is eternal as His perfect law is eternal too). Don't think you fit in that category? Ever done one of these?: lying, stealing - regardless of how small the object EVER, hating others - which is murder in God's perfect law, lusting (plus God sees our entire thought life). Justice says "the soul that sins shall die" - if we break one in thought/word/deed it's as if we're guilty of all of them. Quite simply, living by the law (which is doing everything perfectly) is impossible for sinful humans
. The law shows us that 1. We will die in Hell if we fail to follow it and 2. We cannot save ourselves BUT, 3. God's perfect, immovable law points us to Christ, who followed and fulfilled the law in thought, word and deed perfectly in our place. He did what we couldn't and did it on our behalf. He was then sentenced to death on a cross, and took our personal punishment for our sin, paying our penalty (like paying our fine) completely FOR us, and has given us freedom.
If we turn from the sins we have committed and repent (pursue the opposite direction of love through Christ) He will, overtime, recreate us back into that previously perfect image through The Holy Spirit which Jesus sends to all who accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior of their life. It's not about following the law - perfectly, as it's impossible - it's about letting Christ in to guide and teach you and obeying Him through His power (not ourselves as it's impossible without depending on His power and instruction).
He is our substitute in His life, death and resurrection. He essentially rewrote history in our place so that, if you believe in Him, it will be as if you had never sinned if you accept Christ's death as our own in our place.
He is in Heaven right now preparing a place for us so that He can take His faithful, believing children home with Him when He returns. He will ressurrect us from death when He returns, giving mercy to those who accept His love, instruction and teachings in their life, and give justice to those who refuse it.
He doesn't want ANY of us to go to Hell and die for continuing in evil and rejecting His way to life, thats why He died FOR us. Hes giving EVERYONE a chance, He wants everyone to take the free gift of salvation from Hell. He wants us to be His and begin to follow His life of love and service through Him. So long as we keep our hearts near to Christ through His strength, strive to follow His will of perfect love revealed in the Bible, and ask Him to help us in the midst of (very certain) pitfalls and struggles, we will, in time, win the ultimate victory over sin, pain and DEATH through Christ. Even if you are willing to be made willing, pray for Jesus to come in and He will do what we can't. Give us The Holy Spirit who will guide us in the right way.
NOTE: You are NEVER too sinful or messed up that God cannot turn your life around through Jesus. EVER

Wow! The ignorance of you 9yrs ago when you left this comment! Smh 🤦🏾‍♂️ Yes it does matter to know what color He is, because the Gentiles tried to erase His identity as well as His people the 12 of Israel! Us Hebrews were NEVER Caucasian nor was The Great High Priest Caucasian. It’s best to die knowing the true, then dying believing in a lie! It would be terrible to face Him on the day of your judgement, and your response would be “Oh my LORD! You are a black Messiah!!” Nah, don’t do that. Know the truth and glorify the FATHER that He led you to know the truth. Remember what Hosea 4:6 said! Shalom! 🕎🕊💟

C.D. Brooks has been one of my favorite speakers for many years. The first time I saw him was at the Washington Conference Campmeeting about 40 years ago. I learned a lot from him during that time with me being a baby Christian. I still remember a lot of it today. One of the funnier things he said during an introduction to a sermon was, "with as many of you that greeted me on the campus today it proves we don't all look alike."

I'm so amazed that the majority of Christians have tolerated the generality teaching of the Bible, which has lead us to believe all characters were only God's White Children! And yet when it is brought out that our Lord used His Children of Color (Black) people get offended! That's not right!
It's a heart matter and so many people are trapped in this evil thinking! Our Lord demands truth be taught about all people he has used! Hallelujah Praise His Holy Name!

Over the course of his lifetime Granville Woods would obtain more than 50 patents for inventions including an automatic brake and an egg incubator and for improvements to other inventions such as safety circuits, telegraph, telephone, and phonograph. He died on January 30, 1910 in New York City, having sold a number of his devices to such companies as Westinghouse, General Electric and American Engineering. Until 1975, his resting place was an unmarked grave, but historian M.A. Harris helped to raise funds, and persuaded several of the corporations that used Woods's inventions to donate towards a headstone. It was erected at St. Michael's Cemetery in Elmhurst, Queens NY.

I have to say, you appear to have humility by the grace of God and like Jesus says we must be like children to enter the Kingdom of heaven. He means having an open mind, being obedient to God and admitting you don't know it all.and keeping your mind open. Are you familiar with the Spirit of Prophecy? She was a great Bible student and points out the verses that give us the full Bible story. Your humility comes from God not you, so give Him the glory. Your desire to learn is so refreshing.

But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another."

Unfortunately, “this white sister” fail to understand that Pastor Brooks is not denying the existence of other cross bearers, he very eloquently points to the fact that Black people from the time of Christ to present, was/is denied our contributions throughout history. Sadly, your remark exemplifies why our developments did not receive its just due.

Well, the Lord scattered the descendants of Ham, who begat Cush who begat Nimrod whose kingdom included Babel. Anything to do with Shinar relates to him. His son or grandson formed Nineveh. They built Babel because they didn't believe the sign of God's covenant (rainbow) so built the tower so the Lord wouldn't scatter them. Then the Lord confounded their language so they were forced to scatter. God wanted the entire earth to be multiplied, not just one area. I think we all were scattered.

It is interesting how the Egyptians have played a part in protecting Christ and His people, yet, holding them in bondage at one time. Solomon says history repeats, so perhaps they will play a role in end times of protecting Christ's Sabbathkeepers.

Song of Solomon 1:5 I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon.
That's probably the one that's the most well-known. Of course there were black people in the Bible. Why wouldn't there be, with all due respect?

The Bible does not teach that the people were white, however, look at any childrens Bible and you will see Christ looking like the front man of a hippie 1970's white rock band.
I am a VERY white man, however, I fully realize that Christ was closer to the black man in looks than he was to mine. That being said, I have NEVER come across this teaching, that Simon was black! I accept it as true and am not offended at all. Thank you for it, and thank you Christ Yeshua.

There are two kinds of people in this world. Jesus called them, "The sheep and the goats." And that is it. Do you follow Jesus? Then ALL your ethnic pride and competition must be left behind. Jesus had to lose his, Paul had to lose his the disciples had to lose theirs. And you will have to lose yours.

    Exodus 18
2 Then Jethro, Moses' father in law, took Zipporah, Moses' wife, after he had sent her back,
3 And her two sons; of which the name of the one was Gershom; for he said, I have been an alien in a strange land:
4 And the name of the other was Eliezer; for the God of my father, said he, was mine help, and delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh:

It’s about the inaccuracies that people have taught regarding Jesus and the Bible. As Christians we are to teach truth. The vast majority are taught through imagery that every biblical character is European. You see this in all the biblical movies, Bible images, and most print work. That is giving false information. People don’t care whether Jesus is black, white, purple or blue. What we should care about is teaching the entire Bible in spirit and truth. We are very knowledgeable of geography and where things took place in biblical times, and what those people look like in those regions. There was never a reason to push this false narrative!of them looking any different then they do. The bigger question is why has this been done?
Sometimes Pastors have to correct misinformation, and that is what he is doing in this sermon.

Quite a storyteller and entertainer. However, disappointingly, what is noticeably missing in his teaching, and of tremendous significance to his audience, is the absence of references to books, chapters and verses of the Bible which didn't serve to induce his audience to take their Bibles in hand to follow and discover for themselves whether he was actually telling them the truth. It's the reason why we have become lazy. 2 Timothy 4:3-4. Sadly, it is an entrenched pattern of behavior which is prevalent in Black churches. One learns through personal application (experience) and discovery (observation). Blacks need not only to hear with our ears God's prescription for salvation, but see with our eyes the instructions/directions on how to take His medicine for our souls.

    History always repeats.
    Ecclesiastes 1
9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
10 Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.
The Bible gives titles to nations that are spiritually like a previous nation, too.
