Hi Mike! BTW, I think you are great and I love your videos. Ok, I have used Olaplex products no 0 and no 3 for a while (not to diss them in this comment but I must be clear about this). When I began to notice a few months ago that my scalp was losing feeling I stoped using them but did not know where to go. I bought the Metal DX spray, shampoo and conditioner and immediately saw and felt a difference in my hair texture. My hair was much softer and healthier and even though I live in Switzerland where the water is not as harsh I think I had so much build up that the moment it the hair was cleansed from the minerals after all this time, my hair is back to normal. I just had a colour correction today using metal detox to remove my rosegold hair back to blonde and I was like... omg took 20 mnts to lift all those pinks and coppery tinge... my hair has clear shiny blonde with slightly clear platinum in between some blondes strands 😱😱 I just can’t describe in words but it feels strong shiny and the colour is ahmazing!! i'm from borneo and bleaching asian hair here always result in uneven tone even when you know that you apply the product evenly. metal detox is really a game changer. results is always perfect and even tone after using it. metal in the water is always the culprit to uneven colour lol

Rebecca it would for sure :) However if your hair isnt coloured your not going to see the cosmetic difference in your hair colour but it will still remove metals from natural hair. I hope this makes sense x

Mike, I just had my hair color at the salon with semi permanent color and she used this system. My hair looks and feels great but will the "at home" products be as effective.. Noticed since I have been home, (due to COVID) my hair kept getting more dry, etc as I was not going to the hairdresser weekly where they use soft water but I have hard water.
Mike- Can you explain briefly why the in salon only detox works only when having hair colored? I am only in need if my gray outgrowth colored on Med brown hair. Does the color have to be pulled all the way through / all over color to activate / neutralize the metals? I have an appointment tomorrow. I went into the salon a week ago for a consultation and she said I did not have to color my hair for it to work… I am doubting her now and very confused! Please help
so ho metal detox insalon treatment works is... it works with oxidising colour only. We need the oxidant for it to help to neaulize metals. spraying it on the hair itself wont do much. if you only hair roots to do I woule recommend getting glossing at the basin. It could be clear or with tone. the most build up of metal would be on your leghts and ends. I hope this help. Any more questions, fire away x

Cause I can't get how it works if you dont have an option on the water you are using. I feel like ok I will treat my hair properly with these products but if my water is the same hard water on my last rinse it will become a vicious cycle.... Please answer me hair guru!!
Not a hair guru here, but I had the exact same problem. You need to fix the issue at the source: shower filter + something to soften the water. Only after you've done these things, the products will make sense and work, otherwise there really is no point

She can use both and should! I use heavy metal detox, Olaplex 1 in my bleach, as well as K18. All 3 are for 3 different things they can all be used together and it makes doing hair in this day and age a GAME CHANGER! We’re lightening to levels 10-12 with bleach with zero damage which was unheard of 20 years ago even 10 years ago
I love your videos. My water has a lot of copper. I bought the Metal DX shampoo and I noticed an improvement in my hair. So I asked my hairdresser for the professional treatment in the salon (she advertises it on her website). Hower she told me that Metal Detox cannot be combined with my hair color "Elumen". Is that right as you said in the video it works with any color/brand?
hey Metal Detox works with any hair colour once there is oxidant use. Elumen is a '' direct dye'' without oxidant therefore metal detox wont work. Chat to your colourist about it, maybe there is a option of clear gloss ect

Hey Nick no it doesnt. Simmers shampoo only cleanse the hair when this actually works inside of the hair fiber and neutralises the metals.
