To be fair, there are lots of technical/proggy bands out there where one should/needs to listen to each member induvidually to fully appreciate what's happening musically. But a lot of them can't write SONGS (Champ pointed this out explicitly in one of his first reactions) that even non- musicians appreciate without even understanding _why_ .... and the reason IMO is the arrangement and song structure. The Maids fire on all cylinders.

BAND-MAID is a great band that brought back the real enjoyment of music for us in real time.
It wasn't your first reaction to Band-Maid, but this is the one that started all and change your life forever... who could imagine that a group of Japanese ladies dressed as maids would have such an impact on the lives of people living on the other side of the world?, this band is something else
I can't help but smile everytime i watch this video because it's quite clear that this was love at first listen, and most B-M fans can relate to that feeling 😆

The English you speak seems to be correct even when translated into Japanese with TH-cam subtitles. Thanks to your comments and explanations, I now know what BAND MAID is doing and why it sounds so good to me. This gave me an opportunity to consider their performance, and for the first time in my life, I began to think about each member of the group individually.
Still say this album should have been rock album of the year that year. Sheer genius.

To our Japanese friends, thank Ryan for introducing me and really firing me up about this incredible band. His enthusiasm raised mine and helped made Band-Maid my now favorite band. And I've been listening to rock music since The Beatles.
MISA is the bass player of cool bass lines, damn she's good. She's my favorite bass player as well, before it used to be John Myung of Dream Theater. I play my basses with new inspration from listening to MISA 🙂
