Good Manners? Oh, yeah! Thanks lead guitarist Kanami for your compositions, and 2nd guitarist Miku for your lyrics, and everyone else for everything else. Like the unique, awesome outro, every Band-Maid song has a touch of class because the Maids have class. A remarkable, important band in so many aspects! "aw, aw, aw, aw, aw, aw, aw, awesome!" Thx, Glen & Andrian!
I would love to hear the kind of song Kanami would write lyrically to one of these kick ass songs she composes I've heard she's not allowed to write songs because her lyrics are too girlie
@@ernestrimbeck7630 Agree! I'm looking forward to them mixing things up more and hearing Akane, MISA and Kanami sing. I'm sure they'll do more once they don't have to fight so hard -- as a band -- to get a broader fanbase or to prove their musicianship and writing skills, etc.. I mean, look at what Saiki did on the Piano. That took balls and might start to inspire the others to stretch more in that area. 🤘
I thought the riff was straight out of the early 1970's, it had that kind of Page/Blackmore bluesy syncopation. I liked the drumming once again, and the guitar solo was cool. My favourite Band Maid track so far.
If you liked this......try Day Dreaming and Wonderland should be right up your alley....these are not ballads but just a little slower paced and are masterpieces showing off Kanami's writing ability !!!!!!!
Other BAND-MAID OMVs to check out; 'Shambles', 'Unleash', 'Rinne' and 'Blooming'. But this song is paired with a song you could call Speed Metal in a Studio LIVE Video called 'Black Hole'.
The Unseen World limited edition has the album divided into "Roots" and "Progress." The "Roots" side includes *"After Life"* (hard driving rock), *"Why Why Why,"* *"Youth"* (a bonus and hard to find),「サヨナキドリ」 *"Nightingale"* (Sayonakidori), *"CHEMICAL REACTION,"* *"Manners,"* and *"I still seek revenge."* Only *"After Life"* and *"Manners"* have official music videos. The others you can find on their channel under the "Releases" tab in the "Unseen World" playlist. They aren't in this order, though. *"CHEMICAL REACTION"* is a stomp. You'll like it.
Glenn and Adrian, There are several bangers from Unseen World. If you have reacted to it "Warning", the official music video, is fire (literally). "No God" is one of their most popular songs. The "No God" song I suggest you listen to is the official live video from their Tokyo Garden concert a year ago. It's awesome! There is a two-fer official live video of "Manners/Black Hole" from an online okyuji during the pandemic. In that video, Misa and Akane have the grooviest lead-in to the song that really reflects it's funk groove. Misa stated that "Manners" was one of her favorite songs. Her bass groove is prevalent in the song. Now, "Black Hole" is a frenetic (almost chaotic) speed metal song. It's by far one of the fastest tempo song they play. You can sitting down and listening to it and still work up a sweat.
Did you notice that they went to the trouble of setting up Akane's kit at the bottom of the staircase for a few shots, ( 1:36 & 3:26 ) away from where most of her & the band was recorded near the windows. Similar to where John Bonham was set up when Led Zeppelin recorded 'When The Levee Breaks' at Headley Grange. One of the most recognisable & iconic drum sounds in rock. John Bonham is one of Akane's influences. So a bit of a tribute to him there.
@@glennandadriansrocktalk Jimmy Page went to a B-M gig and there's a great photo of him and Akane and he noted how much Akane's drumming reminded him of the late, great Bonzo, a fine compliment indeed 👍🍻
Thanks guys for reaction and thoughts, maybe try 'THE DRAGON CRIES', same vibe as MANNERS, don't be too side tracked by video🤟, when I hear Manners think of something older than the 90's but I'm no expert.
Live Maid is the best Maid... you should check out the Live version of this in addition to Black Hole....the Maids MV's are good but there is no substitute for the way they play Live...
We can't win - check out all our live reactions to Band Maid and you'll see people saying we really need to watch the OMVs... and vice versa. It's gotten comical :) So we're doing both. Appreciate the Black Hole suggestion!
Unseen World is a masterpiece.
Agreed! Brilliant album!! 🕊
It really is.
Unseen World is a monster album - definitely their most aggressive, their most technical, and arguably their most progressive.

Great reaction guys! Don't forget Band Maid is releasing a brand new single with INCUBUS called "Bestie" dropping on April 17th!!! :)
Good info - thanks!
They became a rock legend when they showed the picture at 4:05. It looks like they came out of the 70s. Super cool.
Oh MAN! What's on Unseen World....EVERY single song! Great Album, hang on!
One of the most interesting song fron their catalogue. And one of my favorite of course
Such a groove based song! Love it. Thanks for the reaction, please do check out more.

+1
Daydreaming! The BEST power ballad ever composed 🥰

Great choice

Thanks for these!
This song is closer to 70's Zepplin than 90's grunge.

Nice one 👍🍻
I caught that and wondered if it was intentional! John Bonham.

I get 70s rock vibe from Manners.
Band Maid's genre is, umm, Band Maid. Try their "Conqueror" CD

@@glennandadriansrocktalk Yeah, that's the way it goes! But you really can't go wrong.
Manners is my fave from Unseen World, but a close second is Giovanni. It may be their most "prog rock" (ish) songs.
A speed metal version of a 90s kinda thing. Mmhmm.
Speed metal???
next time I'll call it trip jazz just to see what happens in the comments!
