I remember when I was studying A level chemistry we were using PTFE in some reaction or other and that was in liquid form. I mentioned that it's used in plumbing as a tape and the chemistry teacher hadn't heard of that either. When worlds collide xD
I in absolutely no way do mean to cause offensive...but are you showing your age there??? Hahaha! A question that you asked in the comments from a previous video gets answered and you get a shout out in an upcoming episode mate, so please keep watching;
At point 8.50 on the video when the plumber said you couldn't use it on a wet system, did he mean a connection that had water running through it previously ie: a connection that had developed a leak
Crikey Kevin, you really are bingeing through the videos aren't you?! Fair play mate! Yes, I believe you're right there regarding the PTFE but to be honest it's not something we've ever seen or used before or since so I think it's best you look it up if you're thinking of using it mate.
Hi and thanks for commenting. If you are a trades person yourself all I we can do is suggest to the customer the best way to do things but if they choose that way what can we do? Happy New Year and thanks for watching
With the liquid PTFE you do have to wait for it to cure before filling the system. They say 3 hours for brass, up to 72 hours for stainless steel.
I’d still use loctite thread as well.

@@Mr_A_Builders Thanks for the reply 👍
Those bathroom tiles are supposed to flow. There is a pattern, not fit as random individual tiles. Looks like a accident. 🙈

The instructions don't mention anything about applying on 3 threads only.
