Burning Boat. A compelling little piece. I think those final 'thoughts' about being thankful for being able to run, in fine weather, when so many cannot do this are great advice. I know when I run the Manchester Marathon in April 2019 it is going to be my mental approach that gets me through. I'm already excited and it's still three months away. I did my 'long run' on Sunday in my weekly schedule. Up from 12 to 14. That two miles extra seemed massive! Goodness knows what 16 will feel like this Sunday. My wife is concerned I won't get around. But I will finish it!
RRP3168 thats so awesome! Thanks for letting me know! When i finished my first race I also starter thinking about the next one pretty much the next day. Its the start of something! Keep it up.
I have only run 2 marathons, so am by no means an expert. For me a good pointer was to try to run the first half as fast as your second half. That means really pacing yourself at first, and running a lot slower than you feel like you can. It will pay off in the last 10 km.
Awesome video! I have run 5k, 10K, and half marathon. I hope to run a full marathon soon. You inspired me brother! God bless you! You are awesome bro!
Thanks for sharing. I used to run a marathon in my country in front of Angkor Wat Temple in 2019. It was an amazing and it was reflected to our life.
Well done, to get injured skiing, recover, train and run a marathon in a year is kick ass
Matthew Smith haha yeah it was a challenge, but so much fun at the same time. Thanks for the comment!
