A set of brass ones. And an example of what courage, BRAINS and determination can do. These are the men you want in command, able to put aside emotion for clear hard reasoning. KNOW your enemy and follow what you know to be right. Few men, including military officers have that combination of intelligence, brains and guts. We are left to HOPE those at the very top of the command staff are among those few. Excellent episode. A lot of wisdom packed into twenty five short minutes.

I have been watching and enjoying this series . however you say that this is episode 36. When I check back, there are only 32 episodes online. Am I missing something?
I can answer this. It seems that some of the episodes are only available on a new online network called WesternsChannel.

The writer's key points: The greatest treasure of one's person's possession is their immediate family member vs the Army or the country? HOWEVER, here is the unmistaken model of a soldier standing for the ultimate duty of a soldier that is of course, following orders of the army or the country vs those who got cracked and confused who they were, who fed them, who gave them what they were as human beings or soldiers. They have NO business being soldiers and disobeying the order, which they have indeed sworn to follow! NONE of them should be promoted to next higher rank from their rank in theory, and the generals should conduct inquiry due to Sergeant's testimony, not by generous major who try to save his outfit, and all must be court-martial, especially captain who should be stripped to private and dishonorable discharge along with the lieutenant who urged mutiny the answer to class discussion!

Oh I get it now but he had to do that don't you understand what the complications would have been if they would have got the ammunition? I think he said it to her three times yes they didn't know but we did I guess you meant the way he did it I would hope I could have did so good that's to hold it together like he did
lack of correct communication! The op word here is "correct". I think he should have given more info on his plans/reasons.
Did you know that we bombed Hiroshima bc of that? The word used in response to our warning could be interpreted to mean "no" or "wait". as Japan was "waiting" to respond we had taken it to mean "no" and we bombed, according to what my professor told the class.... terrible.
I normally don't care for Sterling Hayden but, he was very young here & did a lot better job.

Irritated me intensely that a fancy dinner table setting was the most important thing to some women. Women going for a damn buggy ride during wartime in the area, typical stupid bunch of ding bats. Three Innocent soldiers came back in the rig dead with arrows in their backs. The so called captain burning one of the wife's note and the information leaked out anyway. The captain's wife is more man than he is. He should have been demoted and put in the Briggs to be shot.
