    PLEASE make sure that you file the posts VERY SMOOTH on the ones you will wear or give as gifts, to avoid creating tiny cuts in the earlobes. The sharp burs on cut wire ends that have not been not filed smooth before wearing can cause tiny cuts, then discomfort and infection. I doubt that anyone wants discomfort and infection.
    I like the shortcut of twisting of the wire before wrapping into the rose shape. I'm going to practice this technique with craft wire, and compare it to the practice ones I've made with a slightly different technique. I do prefer properly round loops on my jewelry; overall, I say these are nicely made, once the posts on each earring is filed smooth.
