The fact that Lethamyr was ssl before he even bound a directional air roll proves you don't "need" it, but it adds to your arsenal of skills that you can use

I would love an instructional video showcasing how one does NOT always NEED to dodge when attaching the ball. I am doing my best to break the habit of dodging into the ball when going for a touch and it’ll either send the ball off course or I’ll dodge our off the way.
Are there times where dodging isn’t necessary? Can you show us some examples?
Yes when the ball is in your corner, you shouldnt boom it towarss the opponent, you should try to keep it close. So try to only get a light touch, or even with the underside of your car (lightest touch possible). That way its easier to start a counter attack. But this probably doesnt work for gold players, cause they cant control the ball afterwards. So i think you should be atleast plat to apply this strat 😅👍
And also for like fakes, where ppl think u boom the ball into the net, you do a very light touch and then control the ball into the net, and seeing the opponents just fly by cause they expected a high boom
@@FlexNiko I appreciate your advice! I’ve been doing much better at keeping the ball close. My teammates still tend to boom it and give away possession but I’d rather that happen than giving up a goal. I’m actually playing in diamond (for now, won’t last long) but I still occasionally dodge when I may not need to.
@@drunkprobly5906 yeah sure, i think the booming only gets better in like champ... im d3 sometimes c1 and also sometimes boom the ball when i shouldnt, but for me its sometimes the safer way if i dont feel comfortable to control the ball in that situation.
Just play some casual games and focus purely on not dodging into the ball when its not neccessary. no matter if you loose 20-0 ..
sometimes extremes like this help you later remember to not always just dodge and have a quick think about maybe controlling the ball instead of booming it.
but its all down to practise and muscle memory. GL

Alot of good players will use air roll, just not necessarily hold it for the entire time, they just use it to get optimal touches, and for recoveries

I think when you get to like champ you should start learning it so your doubles taps will be cleaner

I’m c3, I learned air roll left in gold 3 and didn’t so ranked for 2 weeks then I sky rocketed to d3 just from mechanics alone

I don't air roll for aerials because it is too much for my brain, but for things such as recovery, basically habit.
Idk really how to air roll besides like recoveries and off the wall and when you go for aerials i swear thats what i look like lmfao
I just watched the whole video and I loved it. I thought the commentary was good, the outro very good, the little funny edits were hilarious I did find the zooming in on your face in the first I would say 5 mins of the video is a little excessive and me being picky I would zoom in a little more just to make the screen symmetrical and more appealing to watch. Sorry if sounded like a critic I really did love the video, just want to see it be the best it can!

If you want to get out of plat/diamond yes
I phrased it poorly. Do you have to spin aerial? You NEED to use air roll, but is constantly spinning important?

Well. The way I see it is.
Airroll = more control over the ball (in other words soft touches and no power)
No airroll: more power (less control over the ball)
I think u were trying to say that airroll is used for more accuracy. That would make sense but correct me if I am wrong or misunderstood something.
Can you do a video on how to get used to a different air roll if you've gotten used to the other air roll because I have been using air roll left for 4 years now and whenever I try to use air roll right it feels really weird.

I only use the air roll when I want to make a stall and I actually only do a stall to dance when I've won but nice vid

even if you never air roll during aerials, using it for everything else is extremely important.
