  • If you've ever wondered what kind of forces downhill mountain bikes and riders take during a World Cup race, wonder no more. The rough, rocky, steep Lenzerheide, Switzerland, track at the first round of the UCI MTB World Series shows off just how capable modern DH bikes and riders are!

      I wish they would just use people's preferred name on the broadcast. Pretty sure that's what Red Bull did. Jordan Williams, Isabella Yankova, and I think there were a few other ones.

      Data logging system for suspension travel. Fork perhaps a prototype boxxer

    • @jblifts5760
      @jblifts5760 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Looked like Vali Höll to me on the trek, a lot of the top tier riders are on a programme called blackbox which run prototype and testing for anything to do with Sram who own rockshox so blackbox use prototype “away from the public eye” dampers and cartridges in the fork and rear shock. This programme includes drivetrain and brakes too, so things like mech springs / shifter ratios, brake servos / rods / pistons etc for the next generation of hardware to be dialled in by the best of the best before they release it to Joe Public

    • @rarelycomments

      Around 25 psi. More in the back

    • @jblifts5760
      @jblifts5760 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@rarelycomments I second this, the fastest guys will tend to run around 25 psi with an insert or 28 psi without one on the front then around 35 psi to 37 psi on the back.
      Some guys (Aaron gwin) in particular will set their suspension super stiff on rough a** tracks like this so the bike doesn’t get bogged down or square edged when hitting big roots or rocks, the stiff suspension just allows the bike to skip over the top of them but it’s incredibly rough on your hands and arms this way and the bike is much livelier so makes it harder to control

      @@rarelycomments I think Bernard was running 27 in front and 23 in the back or sum
