One tip: You can upgrade your gear anywhere, when you open the menu and switch T3 into your party. Talk to him and after you can switch your other party member back in
You can also do this with a Mical for a Lab station.
Something else worth of note about T3-M4 is that if your repair skill is high enough, you can learn the meditation lesson you would normally learn from Mical. I believe it takes 3 or 4 repairs to achieve the force point bonus.
@@Oodelally Interesting! I am going to give that a try!
@@CatDaddyGaming did that work?
@@aglassofwater5420 T3 yes, haven't tried Disciple yet.
just started the game again after like 12 years
love your vids
Dude props for making a guide for a very old very good game!
Thank you very much! :) it is such a great game, 15 years later and we are passing up AAA titles to play this classic lol
What does a KEEN crystal mean again ?
@@moe433 It doubles your critical threat range. Which means double the chance to roll a critical hit. The game mechanics are determined with a 20 sided die like D&D. If your chance to critical hit was only 2 numbers out of 20, the Keen item would now boost it to 4 numbers out of 20 giving you double the chance to land a critical hit. You can also get Keen upgrades if you want other Crystals but want to keep the Keen boost. :)
@@CatDaddyGaming Cool, thanks
@@CatDaddyGaming I think Keen is only good for weapons starting with 19-20 crits, since the range gets doubled to 17-20, and you can get it all the way down to 11-20 with master critical hit. But if it's a double blade, you can only get it to 16-20 if keen + master crit. Assuming master speed, power attack instead guarantees you 48 damage (and if you should have a crit, triples the dice and the +12 from itself - very funny with Niman or Shien, whichever it was that adds to the modifier, can get 4x crit damage)
Regarding upgrading the Named Crystal, there's actually a way to 'trick' Kreia into upgrading it after finding all the Lost Jedi. You have to enter the Rebuilt Jedi Enclave WITH Kreia in your party, and then *immediately* turn around and leave. This will reset Kreia's dialogue options back to 'yes? Have you come with questions?'. I learned about this after she somehow triggered the endgame dialogue before going to Korriban.
Interesting! Will have to test this out!
Started my 3rd playthrough, this time female light side, and these videos really help to show me some interesting ways to build lightsabers, super good man
Very glad to hear the videos are helpful. The replayability of this game makes it so much fun. I have been playing a Blaster Build lately cuz I always slept on that build. I do really enjoy my lightsabers, but it is also pretty fun being a gun slinging Force user!
One crystal I love is Velmorite. It’s fairly common and keens your lightsaber, allowing you to slap on a Pontite Lens for an extra 2-12 damage. Obviously take Ankares Sapphire over Velmorite, but Velmorite is common enough where you can be sure it’ll show up.
The Sullustan in Jekk'Jekk Tar gives you a Damind or a Sapith Crystal as a reward, after you tell him the name of "the great Gand warrior" (Quest: Naming The Gand, TSLRCM).
Thanks for the information. I will definitely be trying this out on my next playthrough.
I'm a duel-wielding sucker, too! I focus one lightsaber on Defense, and the other on Attack w/ Elemental DMG (e.i. fire, cold, electrical.) When I go Light Side, the colors are Viridian and Silver, Dark Side is Red and Orange. Sometimes, I go double-blade and choose an Attack/Defense hybrid and a Bronze color whether I'm Light or Dark.
Nice! I do like the look of the dual bladed sabers, just not as much as the dual wielding lol I will have to try that out on my next playthrough. I always want to experiment with the crystals but I always end up falling back into blaster bolt deflection cuz it makes me feel untouchable lol
@@CatDaddyGaming Yeah, I can understand that. You get more when dual wielding any way.
I'll be making mine with the following criteria:
1. Dueling
2. Blaster bolt deflecting
3. VS Droids
4. VS Darkside
Your listing makes it good to work around the deflecting penalty which means I need to level someone up high enough in the required skill to make the top fencing emitter to remove said penalty-- THX for it.
You can also take advantage of a couple of glitches. Handmaiden on 3 sparring sections and Visas unlimited but only for lightsabers. Useful for the legendary 'Super Saber'.
In my most recent play through I rocked two Micropulse Blasters with all the modifiers for Blaster Pistols, it was fun shooting down enemies while my part members sliced em up with Lightsabers
You are doing wonders to the community man! The best modding community I've seen throughout my life playing games. Keep it up !
Well thank you very much! I certainly agree with you. The modding community for K2 is the best modding community I've come across!
I believe Bao-Dur can break down items for components more efficiently than the main characters even with similar skills. I use him to break down items and I always have plenty of components for upgrades. KOTOR 2 gives you plenty of extra loot to breakdown.
The only thing I normally end up buying is lightsaber power crystals. Everything else you pretty much get from loot drops.
I wish you’d make more videos on Kotor 2
After 14 years of playing this game on/off without mods or cheats, I still haven't gotten a few of these crystals. Only yesterday, as of writing this, I got the Kaiburr Crystal on my run through Nihilus's Ship for the first time ever. The Barab Ore Ingot is super rare for me, too, I've only gotten it 3 or 4 times and have always paired it with the Pontite Crystal.
I know exactly what you mean. I have only come across the Kaiburr crystal twice in all my playthroughs. I am not sure if I have come across the Barab Ore Ingot yet. I know a good trick is to save before entering the Crystal Cave, then loot the crystals, if you are not happy with them, load and try again. Not sure if you will get the super good ones but you will get different ones for sure.
@@CatDaddyGaming I think this is a good strategy before entering any loot-heavy areas. Korriban's cave, Crystal Cave, Freedon Nadd's area, even the Duros' shops on Citidel station. KOTOR 2's approach to random item generation can be exploited pretty easily.
What you get from drops scales with your level. In the Onderon palace, I got a Barab ore ingot from one of the Sith assassins at Level 26.
@@Oodelally I'm a console gamer, so getting to that level before hitting Malachore V is non-existent for me. I have yet to get a Jedi Master Robe drop in all these years.
You seem to really like KOTOR 2, but what do you think about KOTOR 1?
I think it is just as amazing as the second. The Revan story line is one of my favorite stories. I haven't put nearly as much time into KOTOR 1 as I have KOTOR 2. I do feel like I enjoy 2 more than the first, the lightsaber upgrades and character dialogue are my favorite. I do really enjoy the story from the first though. Couldn't of had the 2nd without the 1st lol
If you go STR you don't necessarily want to dual wield, as getting that 1,5x str modifier for damage is rather sweet later on when you can get 5 hits in with a single saber. For single sabers, you'll want the keen upgrade, for the saberstaff, you don't. saberstaff only has a threat range of 1, so doubling that isn't really significant, you'll just want to add more base damage. For dark side consulars, go outside and pick up the defense and stat boosting stuff you threw out of the window, you don't want to waste time attacking with a lightsaber when you can spam lightning and force crush.
You make some very good points! I am less focused on min/maxing my stats when I play. My favorite playthroughs have been Consular/Sith Lord but also focusing on turning them into a decent Lightsaber wielder. Obviously Conular classes are not what you want if you want to be a hard hitting saber swinger. Force Storm is so over powered that you can build your character the wrong way and still get by. Personally I don't boost defense but that's just me. It definitely has its place if you trying to get the most out of your character. Dual wielding and Jedi Robes are something I use solely because of how they look. I will sacrifice using better armor to have a robe on cuz I like they way they look better. My favorite thing about this game is the ability to play however you want. RPGs are really fun in that aspect. I have seen players play through the game using only hand to hand combat. Obviously very silly as a weapon will help you out so much more but I am fascinated watching players purposefully challenging themselves!
I like to use the Ultimate Diatium Energy Cell for the solid increase of plus 5 Energy as this is a solid increase to the minium damage of your lightsaber. The Expert Deflector Emitter for the plus 1 defence and the plus 4 blaster bolt deflection. Then the Pontite Lens for the Attack modifier with 2-12 Energy bonus. I use two lightsabers. For crystalls I take what the game gives me and mix and match for my companions to improve their build Quixoni looks good for me. For the solid minimum damage increase.
So I sacrifice the variable damage low floor high ceiling to get variabld damage high floor low ceiling.
Consistency is key!
barab ore ingot is one ive never gotten randomly... looks crazy powerful
Same here. I honestly don't think I have ever seen it generate for me. Maybe back in the day when I played on Xbox, but can't say I remember. Been playing it on PC for a few years and have never had it pop up for me.
@@CatDaddyGaming I once got barab more ingot and pontite crystal in the same playthrough, so I had fire, cold and electric damage on the same saber
You can replicate handmaidens robes and break them down for around 400 components each and save credits for other items or to continue your boy scout light side playthrough 🤘
Qixoni and Solari crystals can be used regardless of your alignment. You just have to pair it with your "name crystal."
Really?? That is very interesting! I had no idea. I will have to test that out next time I am adding upgrading my saber.
@@CatDaddyGaming Forgot to mention, your name crystal has to have an alignment restriction as well. When I did it my crystal had both neutral and good restrictions on it.
Huh, I never knew that, I’ll have to try during my next play through.
I always try to have the signature crystal aligned between dark and light. Reason being, when it’s aligned between the 2 sides, it boosts 5/6 of your attributes. Light and dark side give you a bigger boost but only to 3 attributes.
What is “keen” though?
@@larrydonor18 doubles your crit range, going from 20-20 to 19-20, or from 19-20 to 17-20, or on a disruptor weapon, from 18-20 to 15-20.
I once had a bug were I got two name crystals. Sweet times dual wielding lightsabres.
i loled hard with your name ahahah thank you catdaddy, i love this videos, keep the good work
Very glad I could provide a laugh, you gotta have fun with it! Thank you very much on the kind words! :)
I've played this game so many times, and for so long, idk why I'm even watching this. Curiousity, I suppose. My lightsaber characters can literally one-shot almost everything on difficult with just regular melee
Lol yeah more for new comers that are just now exploring the old republic story. However, I will say I've been playing this game since it came out for Xbox and there are still things I learn or never knew about lol
You can use companions on the Ebon Hawk's Workbench and/or Lab Station, when attacked by Cahhmakt's Gang :)
I like to go with a lighsaber in one hand and a vibrosword or a Sith Tremor Sword (if I can find one) in the other so no matter what kind of shields they use they will still take damage
Hi love the content keep up the good work. KOTOR2 is one of my all time favourites. Have you considered making a video about different builds armours and blasters also melee?
Thank you very much! :) I do have a few of those on my list of to do's. I have a HK-47 blaster build I wanna work on for the HK Factory. Blaster and melee builds would be some really good ones too. I will add those to the list. Thank you for the suggestions! I have a video going over all the robes and Jedi armor coming out this weekend if I can finish it. This game has been one of my favorites for years. I am super glad to see others feel the same way and are still playing it regularly 15 years after release!
CatDaddy Gaming somehow I thought that people forgot about this old game. But seeing that I’m not the only person who still loves it ,makes me happier.
Nice video! Do you do a lot of crafting or only sometimes?
I personally like the crafting system a lot, unfortunately some crystals are always a bit harder to get
Thank you! I used to hardly do it but I have started crafting more and more cuz I always have so much stuff when I finish the game. I usually make my Main Character a beast, and then focus my companions on skills for crafting. Yeah crystals can be super frustrating when you just have to rely on the item randomly generating.
Much appreciated for the recommendations for which skills to lvl up for our companions love this game
No problem! Feel free to dink around with them as you see fit too though. If I decide to take Demolitions on my Main Character, then I will make Bao Dur a Computer Using expert. The customization of those little aspects of the game are what keep me coming back! Definitely agree, such a great game!
I remember having to figure all of this out as a kid.
Lol same here! Back before the internet. Kids now have no idea how crazy that was!
those medpacks are an inf cred exploit as the parts can then be made into a 1 part cost upgrade that will sell for more than the medpack
Most definitely. You can get even more if you have the M478 mod. I have a video on it on my channel. Droid merchant on M478 gives you a 75% discount on meds.
these are my preferred lightsaber builds while dual wielding... RNG willing i can get the crystals..
Saber 1
superior diatium/ expert fencing/ improved vibration
"name" crystal/ your favorite colour crystal/ Quixoni or Solari depending on your alignment
Saber 2
telgorn jolt/ expert deflection/ ossus lense
ultima pearl/ your favorite colour crystal/ upari
it should be pretty obvious i play big dick swinging guardian with strength equipment and medium high wisdom/ charisma.
also: stasis field/ force wave/ force storm/ death field for large waves of enemies
Hurrikane crystal is only available if you put in the restored content mod in which is a bummer, never got the barab for ingot or Ultima-pear all that much earthier.
Nice video man. I know it's kinda late, but can you give a rundown of the mods you are using? I know the TSLRCM, but there are some there I've never seen
Thank you! Oh man I have about 30 mods on lol most are just reskins or updated textures for each planet. Check out my Kotor mods video. I have 2 of them. Which one did you notice and I'll tell you what it is. In my Discord server I have some images of the mods I have for my Steam version but don't know if I could list all of them without looking up what I have on.
@@CatDaddyGaming I've seen your influence guides, so I'll definitely check the mods videos later. But the one that interested me the most is the Korriban reskin one, really liked the atmosphere.
I heard that you could use the DS or LS only crystals in a saber that also has the name crystal and it negates the requirement.
You ever tried this?
I have not heard of this. I will have to test it out. I rarely come across the lightside crystals but you can always get a darkside one in the cantina on Onderon. Next time I play through lightside, I will try to get the darkside crystal and see if I can equip it!
@@CatDaddyGaming
I actually tried it out myself since I'm replaying Kotor 2 again doing the RCM for the first time and it in fact actually works.
I guess the way the crystals are coded the PC crystal takes precedence over the LS or DS only crystals.
I'm sure this wasn't intended by the devs but hey whatever works lol
@@SlyNos Excellent find! Now I definitely wanna try this out! Thanks for sharing so others can see this too!
In mid-endgame all characters (just look at your stats for instance) have universally high saves because of the +1 per level PROBLEM. Nothing with a flat DC will ever work past a certain point. Crit fails do not exist.
I'm guess they got rid of the Handmaiden robe glitch eh? That was the bee's knees on the original Xbox. They sold for 2000 or 2200 credits and broke down for a lot of components. That along side the hississ glitch allowed to craft the best gear in the game very easily
They got rid of most of the glitches depending on what version you run with. Console and PC Disc versions will still have the glitches but Restored Content and the Steam version had all the glitches patched out.
@@CatDaddyGaming I guess that's good and bad. The Hississ glitch was the only way to get to lvl 50 as far as im aware
Could you list recommendation for levelling other characters please?
I will have to look more into this one for the best options. I have seen some people post online that Mira and Atton are good with dual blasters on account of their Dexterity. Haven't confirmed though cuz I am a sucker for lightsabers lol I will see if I can narrow down how to level them most effectively.
I am too lazy so I use auto level up
@@CatDaddyGaming When it comes to using companions like Atton and Mira for melee/as Jedi, I always give them the Finesse feat
I rock with a cyan lightsaber in one hand with everything the same except I use the superior fencing emitter. Short lightsaber in the other hand, I forget what's in that but it's also the green-silvery crystal. Lol
I assume the green one is viridian.
Me who enjoys using a twinblade or single saber 😂 I enjoy using a defensive fighting style. I make Visas my major caster with a Bronze crystal and heavy focus on Charisma and wisdom so she can just hit like a truck with the force while I just stand there taking all the hits. Although...I do make Bao Dur a jedi at 15 and I make him an anti droid specialist. Guess I enjoy not doing ridiculous things that are outside the characters normal specialties.
Lol still a formidable strategy. I will admit I like to beef out my Main Character with opposite alignment powers. It definitely wouldn't be possible if I was playing by the natural order of things but it is very satisfying being crazily overpowered. Taking advantage of your companions like you are doing will do doubt help with whatever play style you choose.
Not all build greatly benefit from damage sabers. 1 stat stick and 1 deflection saber works great on force builds.
when you have force storm with ideal stats very few enemies will survive long enough to be in lightsaber range. If they do get close then use force wave.
then again sometimes inefficient builds are a nice change of pace or are amusing.
Although I would never a be a dualist weapon master/marauder. purposely picking a class that encourages dual wielding and not dual wielding makes no sense.
I’m using a counselor/sith assassin that does not duel wield. I get access to most skills and can stunning opponents with the force to get sneak attack damage. the build is functional but inefficient.
It’s better then that unarmed build I once tried.
I have seen others attempt the Hand to Hand Combat build. It is very crazy to get right but certainly a major change to play and build style.
Thanks dude, You are amazing for doing this guides, i have a question, how do You unlock the planet M4-78, it is in the restored content mod? Or i have to search for a mod to play with it?
Why thank you!! Glad it helped out! The mod for the M4-78 Planet is called M4-78 Enhancement Project I believe. Its actually a separate mod from the Restored Content Mod. There is however a mod for both. TSLRCM with M4-78 Planet included. I recommend grabbing this one if you can cuz then the mods play nicely with each other since they are combined into the same mod. Then in game during Korriban you will notice it different from vanilla version and you will get a cutscene with Master Vash talking about M4-78.
@@CatDaddyGaming Sounds like a Nice trip, i Will give it a try, for now, i am doing My second playtrough as a male LS but this time leveling characters by myself, (so friking hard), in the hard dificulty. And thank You do much
i hope u become a very succesful youtuber
Hey well thank you very much! I would love to do this full time but gotta work so its just been a fun hobby to do after work for the past year. Just gonna keep working at it. I already consider my videos successful because they are helping others out! :) Makes me feel real good that they are useful and people take the time to tell me so! Thanks again!
Liked the video thanks for the info.
Yo can you make a like walkthrough on how to get the silver crystal or like rarer colors
Ah, yes...the elusive Silver crystal lol I think Master Vash has one when you defeat her on M478 but I could be wrong. Most items in the game are given to you randomly. If you are awarded a lightsaber in the game, the color of it is randomized upon receiving. You could save before getting lightsabers and crystals, and then reload and try again if you get a color you don't like but your chances are still random after lol. I know where a few colors are for sure, nar shaddaa dealer always has yellow, and there is always a viridian one in the Onderon museum. I will look into this and see if I can find some for sure facts about locations that aren't randomly given. If I find some good locations, I will for sure consider making a video about them. I appreciate the input and ideas! :)
I played the game for years (xbox for a long time, then PC. My current computer can't play it [stupid me not checking my laptop's system specs]) but I only received a silver crystal, once, on Dantooine. I always end up with tons of purple though.
Easiest way? Get the skip peragus mod for pc. It will spit you out on telos station with level 7 a lightsaber jedi robes dark jedi robes one random generated robe and every lightsaber crystal with some other base level loot.
12:50 greeda is a woman and yes she sells silver if you do the trade route quest.
I did not know this! Thank you for pointing that out. I only have read from others she gives you the silver one so I will have to experience it for myself next time I'm there!
You missed the Neutral/Grey alignment for "Character Name" crystal, it offer Force Resist per level
Playing Neutral/Grey Jedi is more realistic but downside is not having Visas Marr and not having Prestige Class.
Didn't miss it, just wouldn't recommend it. Put the wiki links up in case anyone wanted to look up the stats for themselves. Playing neutral is not a viable option in my eyes as you do miss out on Visa and Prestige Class. Unless you are purposely trying to eliminate those things, you will probably get more enjoyment out of going Lightside or Darkside. Not a wrong option, just wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Only time you should stay neutral is trying to get Mira for Darkside or Han Harr for Lightside, but right after that I go back into getting my alignment up. Prestige and Visa are essential parts of the game in my opinion. I wouldn't recommend passing those up just for neutral benefits.
@@CatDaddyGaming Compared to KotOR1, we can really play as Grey in TSL, the whole concept is about being Grey, but sadly the game don't give benefit for being Grey.
We can boost up LS or DS to get Visas or Hanhar before going Grey, We also can do the same to get prestige class before going Grey, but only for Weaponmaster and Watchman, because Jedi Master/Sith Lord special power strongly tied to alignment. That's the only work around to get them as a Grey.
it seems that one must have certain points in repair on the main character to breakdown those medpacs.
companion skills won't work, at least for me they're not.
Yeah, repair level 20 on main character.
I think the main difficulty I have with KOTOR II is the terminology that's not obvious. I think I need a dictionary. 😅 Saving throws? Energy or sonic damage? Keen? DC 18 or DC 10? Hurrikane have unstoppable damage, unstoppable always or sometimes? There are so many more where the practical meaning escapes me.
Most of it comes from D&D mechanics. Learning how D&D rules/attacks work will greatly help you understand attacks in this game.
What do you think about the Ultima Pearl and the Opila crystals?
Those are both solid choices. They will give you nice boosted Damage Bonus and better Massive Criticals. Looks like they work together really well. Especially with the Pearl giving the extra Attack Modifier.
Combine it with keen and mastered critical strike and you almost never run out of the insane damage
@@oliverworley5162 Literally my build. Improved beam gem, Opila, Named Crystal, expert fencing, ultimate diatium and Mastered Critical strike
Yo what mods did you use to get the graphics looking that good? Korriban looks really sweet!!!
There are 2 mods I switch between. Both of them are on the Steam Workshop. One is called Korriban Retexture by DAEMON. That one is the more sith looking red one. And the other is a combo Dantooine and Korriban High Resolution by Curtis1973. That one is a real nice and smooth. I think the first one is only on Steam but the second one is also available on NexusMods. Make sure you remove one if try to install the other.
@@CatDaddyGaming Will do! Thanks so much!
If you double up on Keen in one weapon (crystal and lens or whatever), how does that work? Is that doubling the doubled range Keen gives you or is it not stackable?
This is an interesting question. I have never tried to stack the threat range doubling. I will for sure try it out. I did however try to look this up and found a forum on GameSpot where some players said that keen does not stack. So only 1 will be applied even if you have 2 keen items. One user mentioned stacking the critical threat in such a way would offset the game balance and that is probably why only 1 is allowed.
@@CatDaddyGaming So not on the same weapon. But if you duel weild, having keen on both weapons would probably work, right?
@@nickokona6849 Yes I believe so. That is what I try to do in game. Since the game runs like D&D each attack should have its own 20 sided die. So being on the same die they wouldn't stack, but since you put it on the other saber, that die should now also have a doubled threat range. I usually try to put Keen on each saber when dual wielding for the double chance of critical damage.
I understand your love for Blaster Bolt Deflection but does it actually return the bolt back as a hit or does it only deflect the bolt randomly somewhere?
The force power has 2 levels. First level is just deflection. The second level is redirection. Once you have redirection the bolt is deflected back to the enemy
@@CatDaddyGaming Dammn this man replied quickly. That should be a force power on its own.
Thank you a lot and of course once you reach level 2 all of these modifiers you spoke about will help in deflecting right?
@@1992zorro I try lol if YT give me a notification of a comment, I do my best to reply. And yeah the modifiers just boost the feat. Definitely one worth grabbing. The feat is great to have because it works without a lightsaber. So you could run blasters and still deflect like a champ
Bro How do you get the cyan lightsaber crystals
Best way is to hit the Crystal Cave on Dantooine. Save before entering, then go inside and loot all the crystals. If you don't find a Cyan Crystal, load the save from before entering and try again. Should have one within a few tries!
@@CatDaddyGaming oh thanks 👍👍👍
Did you get Revan’s Robes? I haven’t been able to find them.
They are a mod. Not something you'll come across naturally.
@@CatDaddyGaming aaaaaaand I’m devastated. Thanks for responding and crushing my dreams 😂
Use all the deflection, use darkside to kill.
only younglings use the sword to kill.
Question; Can you stack keen?
I don't believe so but I could be wrong. I looked this up a long time ago and I think you can only have one Keen upgrade effecting one item at a time. You could put one Keen item on one saber and then another Keen item on a second saber and that would work. But I don't think you could use a Keen crystal and a Keen lens on the same saber. I mean you could, but pretty sure only one Keen will affect the stats.
Sun February 26th 2023, thank you
( key - shaw-nee ) they say it in the game! The Quixoni crystal
Quick-Sony.
Bro in your opinion for heavy damage is telgorn or diatium better?
Tough call. I'd have to say Telgorn since you can squeeze a few extra max damage out of it
I trick out one saber and dupe it until everyone has one
Big brain plays!
@@CatDaddyGaming got a video on the differences between Energy damage, damage bonus, and attack modifier? It's difficult to tell which I should focus on more
I unfortunately do not, but that is a very solid idea to cover in a video!
So u don’t have to abuse mines till lvl50, 33 is enough
Purple (or Blue/Cyan) Lightsaber
Player Character (PC) Crystal
Hurrikane Crystal
Ultimate Diatium Energy Cell
Expert Fencing Emitter
Pontite Lens
Solid selection!!
Maybe I don't understand something or Restored content mod changes some workbench mechanics, but advanced medpacks do not breakdown into components, they breakdown into chemicals, wich can only be used to make granades, mines, stimulators, medpacks on Lab station. At least, this how it works on original non-modded version of the game.
So, the only convenient way to gain components is level up repair skill to 20 on main character to get max ratio of components breakdown from items that provide them. The same topic was posted in 2005 year: forums.obsidian.net/topic/34570-most-component-worthy-item/
I really appreciate that you inspired me to play this great game again, thank you, but still... what is going on here?
I will have to test this to confirm. I just jumped into an old save and tried breaking down some medpacs and I ended up get components from them. I will have to whip out my OG Xbox and try it on there and see if breaks them down into chemicals instead. If that is the case, then yeah, it is most likely the Restored Content Mod fixing that. Appreciate you sharing that info though. Will be real helpful for anyone who is having the same thing happen to them!
@@CatDaddyGaming Well, actually everything can be broken into components on workbench, i just didn't remember that fact due playing only once in KOTOR about 10 years ago.
I didn't expect that you will reply, so i just completed base game 3 times and then realised how stupid my question was.
Anyway, ''It's such a quiet thing, to fall. But far more terrible is to admit it.''
I'm sorry for the rushed question and that i didn't corrected myself. Will check info fully before asking anyone in future.
@@OVRBLS Lol no worries at all. I try to respond to every comment that has a question. I wasn't sure of this one so wanted to get into the game and confirm before responding. I think I know quite a bit about this game but occasionally I'll get asked a question I have no clue about or I will get schooled in the story from someone far more knowledgeable than me in the game. I am still learning bunches of stuff about this game. Happy to answer questions and chat about the game! I have learned tons of info I didn't know about the game just from people commenting, its really cool! :)
Se que este video tiene años pero.....solo me falta la lente para fabricar el sable de luz pero no se donde conseguirlo...😢me dicen que me falta la lente solo
How do u get the white crystal color for your light saber
By chance lol best thing you can do is use the crystal cave on Dantooine. Save before entering. Loot the cave. If you don't get the silver crystal, reload save and try again. Loot is randomized so you will eventually get it.
@@CatDaddyGaming thanks will try it hopefully it won't take long
When does the game “really” start? And i can become a sith and use a lightsaber? I’m at the part where i escaped the mining facility and now i’m captured by the people at talos/telos.
You are just about there. Right after you leave Telos you can travel as you see fit. If you do it right, you can have your first lightsaber on your first planet. You sure can be a Sith with a lightsaber. It takes a little while to get your saber but after you get the hang of it, you can breeze through Peragus and Telos quickly and head straight for saber parts
@@CatDaddyGaming thats awesome, thankyou for the fast response:)
I’m playing without mods or anything since its not available on console so i was hoping to finally play a good rpg star wars game that actually lets you be evil lol. Most people said this was the game for a playtrough like that so i’m hoping its a good one.
@@nlrenzo9432 No problem! I usually respond pretty quickly if TH-cam is kind enough to push a notification to me. Yes, you definitely came to the right game for that. It's pretty enjoyable having the options to be evil to NPCs. You'll get some good laughs out of the game. The amount of choice in the game makes it easily repayable also
How do you use bao to craft an item? He has 25 demo for me but the only dialogue option is shields. Do I have to progress the story or am I bugged? I have TSLRCM installed as well if that possibly affects this.
You have to take control of him. So you can't do it in the Ebon Hawk. You will need to leave the ship and change characters so you are him. Then find a table and craft some items.
@@CatDaddyGaming ah okay thank you
I hope you can help me master. I have received the personal crystal from the cave but when I talk to Kreia she tells me remove the crystal from my lightsaber but when i checked the workbench. None of them have any personal crystal equipped. Can you help me please?
Try reloading a save before getting the crystal and try again. This game can have some odd bugs that a redo usually fixes. Other thing I might try is remove all crystals from your sabers. I know this might sound silly but are you making sure to "save" your crystal removal. You need to remove the crystal and then click assemble otherwise the change doesn't take effect
@@CatDaddyGaming I will try, how many saves do you recommend having on general on a single playthrough?
Like maybe 2 or 3 per planet. Just in case you need to back load a region of the planet. I think I have over 200 lol but I use them for testing and what not
Nice vid but I know
My bad meant to say I know I’ll never remeber all of this when playing the game lol
i'm trying to get de kaiburr crystal. acording to strategywiki, i can get with jorran in enclave sublevel at level 27. problem is, this dude just don't give me. he gives only a color crystal, one emitter and one len. i keep reloading and the only difference is the color crystal. is there something i am missing?
You playing vanilla? What platform? Unfortunately you are at the mercy of the random loot generator. If you are against cheats or KSE, (or can't use those) best bet is save amd reload like you are doing. Restored Content mod is more forgiving with handing out top tier loot but you would have to restart your playthrough if you didn't have it
@@CatDaddyGaming i was using RCM. I turned It off for a moment to test and it worked. I got the crystal. I didn't know the mod changed that too...
@iagodealmeida7280 Nice! How did you get it? Same method? And yeah it changes the loot tables. I had never seen Malaks armor until I used Restored Content. And I had played for years lol
I am so confused 12:50 you got revans robes is this a mod or realy possible ?
It's a mod lol there are actually quite a few mods and "disguise" belt mods that let you get Revans Robes. Go for the one on Steam by Effixian if you want one. That one has the best stats I have seen but I haven't tried them all.
@@CatDaddyGaming i will and thank you for the quick answer realy appreciate that :)
@@wellyesbutno7464 No problem! I try to answer comments as they come in. Luckily most of the comments come through as notifications! :)
Are there a variety of hilts to choose from or construct? Or do you have a single hilt design you get stuck with
All 3 saber types have only one simple design.
whats keen?
Basically betters your chances to get a critical hit on an enemy. A D&D mechanic based off a 20 sided die. Here is a link to people who can explain it better!

very nice video buut i will still go full tank because im a dummy dum dum xD
Tank is a solid option! If I couldn't pump up Force Heal to fall back on I would probably tank as well so only the hardest of bosses could cause me damage! lol
OOOOH.... the PC crystal also scales with your character level. no wonder it was so much weaker on my second playthrough
I have done that before lol I occasionally want the lazy playthrough and barely scrape by without doing side quests or anything else I don't HAVE to do. Crazy how much difference you can see from getting all the experience there is to get.
If I have double bladed saber with +15 bolt deflection, it will be the same as having two saber both of them having +15? Bc I like getting all deflection feats, using form and having second pair of sabers with loridan gemstone and jenruax. But really winder should I get two sabers with all the crystals and parts or having double saber is enough
I am not 100% certain but you should get what ever the saber is putting off. So if both sabers had +5 deflection, you should get +10 total. Double bladed lightsaber will only put out what a single saber would since it has the same amount of slots. Double the sabers = Double the slots!!
Only 100k credits? I had like 700 k by the end of my first one
Lol you can get bank, I was just shooting for more on the low side if you didn't try to get any extra credits at all lol
That's crazy. I just finished my first playthrough. I played a LS Consular/Watchman (and finished the game without dying!), ending the game with less than 5000 credits. I had a lot of stuff I could have sold, but it didn't seem necessary to buy anything since I wasn't struggling with any of the fights. I'm going to try a DS run next, but not sure what build to use.
@@lucasfabisiak9586 I like to go opposite what I just did. So if I play Lightsided Saber dude, I go Darkside Force weilder lady next time. Throws it up a bit. I am usually the same way. I'm super stingey with my stims and meds and then I finish the game with dozens of them but died a ton trying not to use them lol
Seems I’ve been woefully neglectful…probably no wonder I’m finding it hard. I might have to replay and get better at upgrading stuff.
Bruh what lightsaber mod is that
I don't have any mods for lightsabers on! lol Just updated skins and such, what part are you referring to?
Bruh the OG lightsabers look so much better than Kotor 1, Didnr know cause i usually used mods (Restored Content Mod)
I do have the Restored Content Mods on in my gameplay. So maybe they did beef up the graphics so it looks nicer. I didn't add any additional mods aside from the TSLRCM lol so maybe that mod does help the way it looks
bad guide. blaster reflect is virtually useless
I very much disagree! Why do you think it is useless?
