I know this video is old but to provide context, andrewG is 1 of the "Godfather 's" of Mario speedrunning having held WRs in Super Mario Bros. 1, 2, 3 and Mario World. Still has a very good time and is well respected in the community. He also has the distinction of being able to say he got to perform an Super Mario Bros. speedrun in front of Shigeru Miyamoto if I recall. Basically think of it like a top level competitor coming back to show how something crazy can be done. That's just to give some context as far as skill level.

I find it funny when Charlie watches these videos and he sees a strategy that is hard to do and saves a second of time he says it’s not worth it even though thats the whole point of speed running to get the fastest time possible
Not to say the movie or the book is bad but Ready player one really forgot that speedrunners are madmen. This is how a few year journey for the egg would have been only months away if speedrunners werent nerfed

wow i've always heard people paint charlie as a comedic genius, and i will say his scripted skits are pretty funny, but wow there are at most a total of 7 jokes being repeated over and over during the entire 50 minutes, and none of them are funny guess i'll just stick to the clips channel and not the vods
