You have to tow your own stuff on drag week. The only exception is if you have a chase car/ wife etc following you, they can bring fuel. I could be wrong about that, that might just be race week that allows that. But otherwise you have to move all your own parts and supplies with the car

The scale of difficulty to make a car do this is off the charts, much respect, no need to get held up with semantics.

If his car can drive 1,000 miles in the summer heat and run mid-6's at over 210 mph, he deserves to call it a street car.

Clearly people have different opinions on what a street car is. When some people think of a street car they think of a car you can take out on the weekends go to the movies with your girl maybe slap on that A.C. if it's hot stop by and grab some food and put your drinks in a cup holder.
Drive this out here in LA make sure you call a buddy because you'll need a ride to the tow yard when the cops impound it for what seems to be a purpose built drag car. If not you'd definitely get pulled over pretty quick/consistently.
I can drive a tank 1000 miles to the drag strip and blow everyone's car to pieces but that doesn't make it an all purpose street vehicle😂
Jokes aside no hate the car is insane if you think it's a "street" car hey that's on you like I said people clearly have different opinions on what a street car is.

These guys really engineered that monster motor. Oil cooling in the rocker covers, rocker changes between street and strip to reduce the valve spring torture any thing to ease the strain on the valve train. Probably bushed all the lifters even the wheels mounted on the fuel tank. Great to see some planning and common scene have a win rather than who can thrash hardest..
    A well deserved win.

I the car has a VIN number, license plates, insurance, and all the necessary safety items (lights etc.) it's a street car. It doesn't matter what It looks like or what they do to prepare it for street driving. If these weren't "legal" streetcar's this event would not exist. The US is one of maybe a handful of countries that allow cars like these to be driven on the street. Most cops could care less and are really cool about it, so thank you law enforcement as well!

Find a job you love and you'll never work a day in your life. I'm sure this is the same attitude he takes in his life. The kind of man that isn't trying to start a TH-cam channel or looking for prestige, and is racing because he loves what he's doing. Drag week could use a few more like him. After all isn't this about having fun? Because from what I saw he definatly was having a great time.

Sounded like by listening to the car on it's passes that was quoted slow and smooth, the car sounded like it could have used more gear for a higher top speed. Either some different gears in trans. for the last third of the track for a higher top-end charge on the finish line. Or a different trans. with another gear (meaning instead of a five-speed it might could use a sixth gear) that when the run is smooth without tire shake or having to lift for whatever reason, it could run on out for a higher top speed utilizing the smooth run for a lower ET.

Instead of complaining that it's not a street car why don't we enjoy the fact that we can register and drive stuff like this on the street with reasonable safety mandates. I mean this dude has to come from Canada to drive that car on the street. So if your complaining it means that you don't want to see events or cars like this on the street. I for one would be sad if we become so regulated we can't do stuff like this. And I do understand cars need to be safe but think about what this really means to be able to do this. It's freedom

your not allowed to put ANY after market parts on a car or in its engine etc the German car factorys OWN the government and had everything regulated out.

That's why I love my home, Texas, God bless it. Great gun laws and only the big city-counties have emissions testing, which I agree with because pollution will get out of hand in the big cities without it. Like LA now or especially 30 years ago.

kain hall he said it’s real 60s corvette which in my book earned respect ( not that orange copycat gm 60s Camero Bailey drives ) and he won this one by being different ( I have to wonder if some of the previous winners could beat him time 1/4 slip 6:05 ish )
As for a bigger size engine mopars came with 440ci displacements if you knew the right person at the factory/corporate offices I’ve even thought of using a stroker kit ( adding more than 200 ci ) on mine but I’m not sure how much it effects gas mileage

      VEHICLE RULES FOR ALL CLASSES
•The event is open to four-wheel vehicles of any year, make, or model, except where limited by individual class
rules. Motorcycle-based vehicles are not allowed.
•All entries must have current and legal vehicle registration and insurance with paperwork that matches the
VIN and license plate on the car. No dealer or manufacturer plates are allowed.
      •No rental cars allowed.
•Vehicles in competition must have functional headlights, taillights, brake lights, turn signals, horn, and a
rearview mirror. Headlights must be of OE-type design.
•Equipment rules apply to both the street and track portions of the event.
•All tire rules apply only on the drag strip and not for the street drive.
•All entries are required to use purpose-built drag-race drive tires on the track, including slicks, DOT-approved
slicks (examples: Mickey Thompson ET Street, Hoosier Quick Time D.O.T), or drag radials (examples: Mickey
Thompson ET Street Radial, Hoosier D.O.T Drag Radial, BFG Drag Radial, Nitto NT05R). No conventional
      treaded street tires.
•All vehicles must meet NHRA safety rules for the e.t. and speed they are capable of, and drivers must be
IHRA or NHRA licensed if required. Drag Week officials will not accept time slips that are quicker or faster than
the car or driver’s tech’d legal e.t. and mph. Running quicker than the safety equipment or driver’s race license
allows is cause for disqualification at the discretion of the race director.
•Swapping engines so that one is used for the dragstrip and another for the on-road drives is not allowed. One
long-block is to be used for the entire competition, barring the need for impromptu repairs.
•Beam breakers are not allowed. Beam breakers are defined as protrusions from the front of the vehicle that
extend past the profile silhouette of the body.
•Lettering or decals with letters more than 1-inch tall must be removed or covered if they are deemed by the
      race director to be offensive.
•Lettering or logos greater than 6 inches tall on the side or front of the car are limited to a single sponsor,
company, or name. We are trying to prevent Drag Week cars from looking like professionally sponsored race
cars. Any retro lettering on Gasser class cars is allowed.
•Vehicles in all classes other than Unlimited must be primarily fueled by gasoline, diesel, or E85 (“E85”
includes similar ethanol blends available at local gas stations on the Drag Week route, or Rockett Brand E85
      race fuel).
•Vehicles may use supplemental methanol injection but may never have more than 2.5 gallons of methanol or
      a methanol/water mix on board.
•In Naturally Aspirated classes, the engine may not use power adders of any kind.
•In Power Adder classes, the engine must use a supercharger, turbocharger, nitrous oxide, or some
      combination thereof.
•In Small-Block classes, engine displacement must be 430 ci and below, and the engine may not be a Mopar
      426-based Hemi, a Chrysler early Hemi, a big-block Mopar, a big-block Chevy, a big-block Ford, or an FE
      Ford.
•In Big-Block classes, engine displacement must be 431 ci and above. All Mopar 426-based Hemis, Chrysler
early Hemis, big-block Mopars, big-block Chevys, big-block Fords, and FE Fords will run in Big-Block classes
      regardless of displacement.
•Winners’ engines may be pumped to verify displacement.
•It’s the responsibility of the racer to know and comply with the rules; passing tech inspection does not
constitute a right to remain in competition if rules violations are discovered later.
•Vehicles must compete in the lowest class in which they are eligible, not including Street Machine Eliminator.
•Vehicles with rule variations may be classified at the race director’s discretion.
•Entries that are disqualified from competition are not eligible for a refund of registration fees.
      UNLIMITED CATEGORY
Unlimited is Drag Week’s most radical class and has no restrictions on modifications except for those listed in
“Vehicle Rules For All Classes” above
